Made a really thorough search of this but not successful despite being with a previous finder of the cache.
Out this morning caching with yorkshirekiwi83 in the area. We stopped here to make this find, but we were barking up the wrong tree for ages, as it wasn't hidden in the NW corner. Once we read down some logs, we tried another wing, and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the hide.
Vamber and I were grabbing some caches in the area this morning, this had us going for a little while, until reading further down logs we realised it was because it wasnt in the NW corner. As soon as we expanded our search we found it straight away. TFTC
We finished Kauri Glen bush which with a DNF (boo) left us on 998 finds and not the 999 we were hoping for. The plan was to head home and pick up Albert the geohound to get to 1,000 as a team, but what to do? So we zipped around the corner from the bush walk and added this one. Took us a couple of passes, but the hint was good so we were concentrating in the right places. Thanks for bringing us to this rather quirky little kiosk. Good on Rotary for providing it. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache for us just in the right spot for when we needed it. #999!
Took me a while to find, but I'm glad I persevered! Thanks for the cache and thanks for the tips from those that commented
Decided to come out and explore this area with merlot58 and Bertie Blowfish, along with the geodogs for a nice easy walk to find the caches. We tried to approach this from the tennis court side, but were thwarted by the creek. We had to back-track to the road and go around the creek. Once I figured out which direction GZ was, I spotted the cache on approach. Sneaky hiding spot. TFTC.
Bertie, Aiden29 and I hadn't looked at the map properly so initially tried to get here from the wrong side of the correct. Once we realised our mistake we came in the right way and made a quick find as Aiden's eagle eyes spotted in on approach
With Aiden29 and Merlot58. Eagle-eyed Aiden made a mega quick find, as she spotted the cache from a short distance. Signed as BAM Tftc
Last one for the morning whilst out and about with the mini cachers and their friend. I seem to recall visiting this area for the final of a puzzle previously but was not successful that time.
However soon spotted the cache, signed log and were on our way.
Thanks for the cache.

Laval spotted this first. Signed log and returned to its safe spot.

Nice to see the upgrade to Rotary Grove. Found cache reasonably quickly... that marks our 800th geocache! Thanks
After running errands all morning I decided to pop out for an hour this afternoon and find a few close to home caches. This was my first stop. As I parked up I got a sense of Deja vu...I remember looking for a cache in this park several years ago. It certainly has been upgraded since my last visit. If I was in any doubt about that fact, my search got interrupted my a muggle who was keen to tell me how he and Rotary had upgraded this spot. Once he left I was free to re commence the search. Took a while for me to get this one. It didn't help that my NW doesn't natch the CO's! Got there in the end. Cheers for the cache placement!
Despite some weird compass hoodoo I spotted this quite quickly - but then when I took my eyes off it to carefully step in avoiding the plants I 'lost' it and had to step back out for another look! I did that twice (!) then the 3rd time I thought to reach in and place my pen adjacent so I could find the spot again easily. But of course once I'd unscrewed the tube I had to use the pen to sign the log and of course then lost the spot to put it back - aargh! lol! Got there in the though. TFTC
Todays find will place us into the top 10 (in NZ) for daily streaks, taking our rally to 526 days consecutively. Thankfully this was a straightforward find. Hint and past logs narrowed the GZ down considerably. Managed to squeeze the find in between some great down pours- winter has definitely arrived. TFTC
A nice redeveloped area and a new playground not too far away by the tennis carpark, nice hide, TFTC
OK I have to admit, not my most successful day of caching. I spent forever searching for this one but could not seem to find it, instead I managed to put my hand in a massive spiderweb and cut myself. Eventually I decided, with a little embarrassment, to text for help, it is a difficultly two how can I not find this? After sending the text, not even one minute later, I spotted something odd, yup, there was the cache. Texted CO to tell him that help was not necessary now. On the bright side at least I found the cache without the extra help and the rain held off. TFTC #526
Checked - all good.
The new playground is now open. You can't access it directly from the gazebo, but need to go up Lake Road and down the driveway that also leads to the tennis club.

Of course it was the last one we checked. All good. Signed and off to the next one.tftc!
Out for a pre storm caching mission with Team Gadget. Time for a few more smileys around the Home territory. Such lovely parks and reserves that we pass without thinking every day. . Tftc
Thanks to Srgurr, I found the original cache that I thought had been muggled, but had actually been placed in a different location. I have returned it to the correct location and removed the replacement mint tin cache which had not been found. All good to go again!
After being muggled, the hanging bison tube has been replaced with a camouflaged mint tin. It is very close to where it was previously located, but is now higher.
Please return to the same location so that it is out of sight of muggles.
After placing the new cache, I returned to my car to find that I'd locked my keys in it... Fortunately, I had a metal hook and strong magnets in my pocket, in case they were needed for the new cache location. The window was open a little and the guy parked in the car behind me had an old windscreen wiper in his boot, so I was able to fashion a magnetic fishing rod and retrieve my keys! Phew!

Looked all around structure for 20min, could not find it. Disappointing but might come back another time. Hopefully it hasn't moved.
2 of us spent quite a while searching the entire structure with no luck will be back
Tftc. Been meaning to check this new area out for awhile. No plants trampled and easy enough to retrieve.
not today-couldn't see anything I thought was a possibility-must have been looking in the wrong area!
No problems finding this one - but I knocked it as I was putting it back together and then had to carefully secure it back where it belonged. Nice hide. T4tc
Have often stopped at this neighbourhood park while out walking but today there was special purpose to do so. Good clues, quick find. TFTC
My mudblood son came with me today mostly to get out of doing the dishes from Christmas dinner. He sometimes helps with caching and today he managed to spot this one. I had trouble getting it back in place as the attachment device also came off. He was also very helpful in getting everything back to where it should be. TFTC.
3 from 3 today and cache#300 no DNF's today (unusual in the last few days)
Hope this area is maintained as some areas on the shore could do with some work. A nice cache to find, thanks for the placement. SLTN Did not disturb plants, no need to find the cache.

Birthday trek around Kauri Glen Bush with Lisa to fill some spare time during the day!
Searched the surrounding area and worked out what the hint meant, but still looked everywhere and couldn't seem to find it... Ah well, must come back another day with more phone battery haha.!

#398 (FTF #6) Have been checking emails at work now and then to see if any new caches where coming. Well what do you know a new cache about 2 km from where I work. And I know this spot, I was thinking I would like to place a cache here one day. Perfect location for it. Anyway, arrived at GZ with no one about. Had a not to search long to have cache on hand. Quickly signed, now back to work. Nice little hide.
