Not the easiest to get to with the ebike, but hey I've done worse. Assuredly worth the effort. Another favourite point for the collection.
Took us a while but we got there in the end. Some heavy duty bush bashing involved.
After a hilly hike and a bush bash in we found it, similar to Richmond's 37 year premiership drought and hilly climb to a win in 2017 love this
Great game, thanks for a clever cache. Very much enjoyed it. Forgot my pen so I had to go back to the car but I walked a different way here the second time so got to enjoy some more of this park. Tftc
I run this track frequently but had never thought to check if there were any cachesSuch a fun container, great job on this one!
Thanks to the cool mate who designed this! took blood sweat and tears but worth it!
Getting in and out of GZ was interesting for me as I pictured me accidentally doing a specky over a log..I had the sound of thumping kangaroos hopping away as I approached GZ.... while the black cockatoo nearby pulled apart a tree. Did the song up there cazaley play on repeat in my head while I found the cache yep it sure did....when I found the cache the penny dropped re the cache name surprisingly its held together well over time..I do think a few of the players have run off thou..this cache reminded me of an old album I have in my collection (see pic) this was played alot in the 80's during grand final.
Quite a trek into the bushes then a dive into some trees and we found it. (After leaving the area entirely and coming back when we realised) Bring water and be prepared to be scratched by a couple branches. Worth it though! A good fun find!
So much fun today! We were over the road looking for the cairn when we noticed how many favourites this cache has. Well, being so near - we must check it out!
In geocaching I’ve learned that there is ‘near’ and there is ‘near’
We strolled across until we were near - bit not near enough. We attacked from all angles - well many angles - bit no clear path was found.
Eventually we struck gold and loved what we found - amazing . I’m not a footy fan bit not to worry - I’m a huge diorama fan - and this was magic.
Thanks to the Rustys’ for the cache and the fin. Fav from me.

A cachemas cache had me back in the area today and this was a brilliant hide on the way back to the Ute.

Love a good diorama and this one didn't disappoint
All in great condition considering the age and number of visitors
Enjoyed a walk in the park on a crisp morning
Many thanx to The Rusty's

On a bus driving job to a nearby sports centre today, so I headed out to search for some caches.
The trusty MTB was my ticket to covering ground more quickly in this great park.
This one took much longer to locate than it should have, as my GPS was not playing nice at all.
The find was well worth the search though, even if one end of the ground is a little damp.
I was likewise collecting moisture from overhanging foliage and the wet grass as I circled GZ.
A well constructed cache that made me smile when I opened it.
A Fav from me.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to The Rustys for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

What a fun cache. A hard walk to get into, especially navigating through the trees. We nearly got lost on our way back!! Nice to get some large caches!! TFTC!!
The last diorama cache I found by The Rusty’s was way up in the Dandenong Ranges, I didn’t expect to find one so far from there, but this one was a welcome surprise a little closer to home. Great cache, every one I’ve found by them has been top tier!

CJDenno and I were in the area and we dropped by here to look at some of the challenge caches. Unfortunately, we didn’t meet any of the challenges yet so we decided to go for a quick walk and grab this very large cache. We got within 20 metres and wondered how we could get to GZ. We eventually found a path and found a excellent diorama of one of Australia’s iconic games. We soon added our monikers to the logbook and then fought our way through the vegetation and back to the geo wheels. If we had more time, we would’ve attempted more. Thank you for the excellent set up of this cache, a lot of effort and we had fun. The cache, container and logbook are all in magnificent condition with the recent weather.

So having some business over this way today, I teamed up its PrezDough and wanted to chase this one down.
Partly because of the cache size and partly because of the number of favourites.
So parked nearby and made the wander up the track and found a sneaky trail heading uphill.
Having seen a few bike riders here, we did wonder if we would have to jump out of the way to avoid an accident.
Fortunately not.
So getting close to GZ, we had to establish a way to go and whilst a bit roundabout, we finally managed to grab this one and were greeted with a fantastic setup.
Great work setting it all up.
The cache, container and log are in pretty good condition.
I visited 3 TB.

I’ve just finished logging challenges here in this park, and with it currently not raining, I’ve looked to see what else is around. Its hard to go past a large. An easy find at GZ and all care taken with the logging process. Cache holding up well against all this wet weather. Thanks so much for this one Rusty’s.
**This Cache:**
Noticed this "Large" sized cache not far from the start of the challenge series I was keen to attempt! So made the detour via a couple different tracks! The final few metres I had to find my way through some thick bush, but I then discovered the well hidden prize!
Thanks for the large sized cache!

**Today:**
I was riding solo today! The other Adventure Boys all had other plans and caches they wanted to get, but I had my eyes set on some "ahomburg" challenges around Lysterfield, plus a few other interesting caches along the way including a virtual, some gadget caches and a few puzzles!
A long drive out this way from near Whittlesea, but well worth it! Plenty of hiking both on & off trails, but my hayfever was the worst it has been this entire season.... wasn't the best but I managed to push through as much as I could whilst taking plenty of rest breaks!
Today was also the hottest day of the trip, excellent sunny weather without any threat of it going sour, but this meant that I had to keep up the fluids and try to find shade when possible!
After all the hiking it was time to attend 3x event types for an evening of socialising! This is where the Adventure Boys rejoined! We first attended the CITO, then the event with an epic tree climb, and finished it off with a CCE near the city.
Thanks to all the CO's and event hosts who made this day wonderful!

Cute cache and great little spot. The geokid liked the little bit of bush bashing required to find it.

World Wide Flash Mob!
On the way to the meetup, I had an idea for a walk to a cache that's appropriately themed for today.
So n0w0rries and I went for a walk. In a park. In the dark.
As I'd hoped, The Rusty's... perfect for today.
And... that'll be my only football related interaction for the day.

I needed a mystery cache for the day, and with a spare hour after work, I thought I would hit this new geocache and then the other local traditional geocaches. Arrived at 4.30 and got back to the car with the setting sun at 5.30.
Glad I did as this was a very nice cache. Lots of trees down, but that just slowed the walk in, cache is still in good condition. Looks like someone has setup camp just above the GC however.
Thanks for the cache The Rusty's

Nice track with a nice view to top it off just got out of there on dark ! The one time I don’t bring my footy cards /:
Great cache, though a bit tough to find a way in. Found on rainy Queens birthday outing!
Nice spot for a break! The cache however what very hard to find. My GPS wasn't helping. Jumping everywhere. I am glad I persevered!
Third time lucky - could never find the track that leads to this one, but today without the kids I could focus and finally find it. Cheers!
(Unfortunately no wombats we’re spotted, even though their droppings were evident)

This was a great cache! It's the first diorama that I've had the opportunity to enjoy, the last time I found one I was frightened by the fact that I almost stood on a baby snake. Needless to say this was a more pleasant experience!
Somehow I walked in a very awkward way, isn't that always the case haha! Thankfully there was an easier way out. I'm also glad the geocaching map shows the unmarked paths here as it made the walk in from the road much easier.

Out on my second geocaching walk for the day, both in Churchill.
I managed, as is my wont, to make this one harder than it needed to be - for some reason it took me ages to find my way through the last 20 metres. But once I overcame that it was a nice easy find and a very clever, well set-up cache. TFTC

Fantastic! Can't say much or give away surprise! Very creative and appealed to these two footy fans !

A quick find after a nice stroll in from the north entrance to GZ. Nice final section of path too. Always impressed by the grass here, the Roos do a great job. Impressive work done here at the cache which is great to see. Wow everything is great.

Took a while to get there but easy find once at GZ. I have never seen a diorama geocache before so it was interesting to see. TFTC
Out on my own today and taking another walk after my bushwalking in Lysterfield lake. Interesting little offshoot walk here nice easy find thanks for bringing me here thanks for the cash
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest word in the English language. It is a medical condition, called Pneumoconiosis that is specifically caused by inhalation of very fine silicate or quartz dust. The challenge today was to find a cache with the first letter of each cache title to match each letter in this word. Why would I do this? Well, because there is a challenge of course (see GC5EWGV, Scrabble Challenge-Beckworth Beckons).
So, a LOT of planning went into this day. You see, there are 45 letters in this word alone, which meant identifying 45 different caches that I would have to find, one each starting with each of these letters, aacccccceiiiiiilllmmnnnnooooooooopprrsssstuuv. That’s 14 different letters and just for good measure, I identified a bonus cache for each letter, for when the inevitable DNFs were to happen. Which means there were now 59 caches on my list for the day, spread out from Maryknoll, to Berwick, Cranbourne, Lysterfield, Lilydale, Woori Yallock and then into the Dandenongs. I expected it to take me most of the day but in the end, because of 9 DNFs and a number of times where I had to hastily look for other options, I only finished it with minutes to spare before midnight.
The letter U was a tough one to identify. Luckily I found 2 pretty close together and I had identified a 3rd back up one that I could attempt on the way back home, if I was unlucky on either of my main U targets.
This was my first U attempt. I was making good time at this stage and so enjoyed my walk in and the cache find. You can't park at the listed parking co ordinates though, its all no standing signs, but I was able to park around the corner a bit. TFTC, a FAV point too!

2nd for the day. Found with abthings and ellenvgreg. Nice to see footy, not that I miss it but we haven’t had any for a while now. HNB
Found this a few months ago, but revisited with team milljrh and abthings. Visited some TBs.
Nice easy find for something that looks like it took a lot of time to make, thanks for giving us something so cool to find
Ah, leap day. I had a lot on today, but I was determined to find at least one cache and this was it. After lunching with my brother’s family nearby, I dragged my aging father up the hill... I guess we didn’t park in the assigned car park. Tbh I wasn’t sure which cache to tackle when we first arrived in the main car park, and hoped we’d have time for more than one. I chose this one because it sounded interesting, so my poor dad had to climb the hill.
Once we’d climbed along the track far enough, we wandered off into the gorgeous clearing to make a fairly quick find. Although I’m not much of a footy fan, I loved the diorama. What a cool idea. The setting too was lovely, so thank you for taking me there. For those two things, a FP from me.
It was hard being in such a lovely park, with all those other caches to find, but at least we chose a good one! TFTC and happy leap day!

Geez what an adventure this was! We definitely trekked the wrong way but eventually got there!!
In the first 5 minutes I spotted a large snake on Army Track. It quickly disappeared, it meant I was pretty careful for the rest of this walk. Easy find. Love the diorama. Thanks.
Out and about early on a sunny morning to add some more smileys at Churchill Park . I parked the car at the suggested location and proceeded to the Cache. Wow , now that id cool . I love footy . Deserves a favorite Thanks The Rusty's.
Decided to go for a ride around Churchill National Park today and grab a few of the caches there. It turned out to be 30% pushing the bike ...damn some of those hills are big.
Thanks for all the work you put into the cache The Rusty's

Took me a lot longer to find than it should have cause my phone kept taking me in circles. Awesome idea for a cache! Tftc
An appropriate cache to find on the day following the Grand Final. Heard this song sung yesterday, "in there and fight!". Looked in the wrong spot initially. Nice work on the diorama. In good condition.
Jogged in from the safe car park. And then up. And then up. And then Up There Cazaly!
Lovely work The Rustys! Thought I might be in for a tree climb, but I certainly felt high enough. Even took a screamer!

This has been on my todo list for a while, so pleased to locate it and tick it off this morning. Great work. tftc.
Out caching with Echidna44, we saw that this cache had many faves, and we were intrigued. Once we found it we could see why. Just beautiful.
Out with BoabTree for a day of caching, we wandered along the tracks in Churchill Park. Wow.
A great cache that children would love. Thanks The Rusty’s

This was a nice walk and as the CO suggested a serene spot. Very impressed with the construction of the cache and at this point I knew the kids would have regretted not coming with me for this cache run. Not enough Brown and Gold but I'll give this a fav point despite this! Tftc
Took the deadly treadlie to Churchill Park and rode around a few caches.
A nice way to fill in the morning.
Nice Diarama, completely unexpected!
Unfortunately I was singing the song for the rest of the ride!
Thanks, Robmc.

A bit difficult to get to but the cache was well worth the trouble. I got thorned on the way to it but only because I went the wrong way.
In the park today with geo husband to complete the gadget series of caches.
With a new cache challenge upon us we were looking for an area which had caches with a high number of favourite points. We initially selected an area down the Peninsula but then came across the series in this park.
After the finds we were heading home when we noticed this cache with a lot of favourite points. We decided we should seek and find out why there were a lot of ‘likes’. We were expecting a lot of noise to come out of it. We made our way and found the cache well wedged under a tree. We soon realised that a dead tree had either fallen or shifted onto the container. We wedged the tree branch up and removed the cache. All appeared to be in good order but we didn’t get the loud cheers we thought we might have got. We did win though!! Anyway TFTC

After working my way through a ptb gadget cache, an AR, a pair of challenges, a vintage Muzza cache and a pair of Clancy's, I had racked up around 6 1/2 km for the afternoon.
Time for the grand final.
What a great game it was too, the crowd was roaring! [^]
