Logs
The big mission of today day was to break my record of most finds in 1 day. I started in the morning from Larnach Castle, after spending the night there. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad for part of the day but I persisted nonetheless, going on a geocaching hunt through the wind and rain, on my bike! After going down Highcliff Road into the city, I spent a lot of time in the city centre, ticking off all adventure labs there. Then through the botanical gardens and onto the steepest street in the world, which I managed to ride all the way up in 3 'stints' . To finish off I grabbed some more tradies at the waterfront and just before midnight I called it a night. I'm not sure if I broke the record yet, since I'm only logging all finds at the moment .Btw, sorry to all CO's, I did not manage to actually sign all logs, since my fingers were sometimes so cold, I had no strength to open some tight containers. Rest assured, I actually found all containers and enjoyed the full day hunt a lot! Also sorry for this generic log for all caches, making it a little bit easier for myself, since I found so many. All finds were relatively easy, mostly because of the hints, thanks for that. All DNF's were either taking too much time so I had to move on, or were very probably missing. Many thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining! FP's rewarded for the ones I especially enjoyed!
TFTC actually not to hard nicely hidden dogs barking over fence on way in great viewz
Two watchers ha aha aaa. Found the cache once I found the park ha hahaha. Talk about caching in a fish bowl. All those new houses looking down on my wiggly butt grabbing the cache. Spotted the camo first noticing an old RITR logslip chucked in ages ago. No one has been back for the cache in a long time. Left a spare found in the MTB tracks walking from the park so the numbys don't miss the cache next time. TFTC
After 2 attempts and doing multiple laps I finally found it. Sneaky Hide (:
This took me a good half hour’s searching to locate but I eventually found it. Not what I expected
Passing through so came for a look. Spotted after a longish search. A crappy log slip and forgot pen so back to the van to get a nicer slip and return just as the rain came down again.
Well this one certainly took a bit of locating. Eventually spotted in its great camo. TFTC
A return visit after a failed attempt a year or two back. Discovered that I had been looking the the wrong area first time around. A quick search in the correct area this time soon earned a smiley. TFTC
Have been traveling around these streets as one of the main routes taken to search out nearby caches and some of the shortcuts are becoming familiar. The side road taken to the likeliest public access to the park kept going a little further along the new housing development. The telltale white railing gave promise the public access was open and walked across the field to the cache. Reached the spot but only after avoiding some barbed wire in the rough spotting the hippo trail to the cache hide. Maybe some changes to the hide or peeps not returning the cache to the components properly seen Bindi's Bonanza! quickly in hand and opened. A tatty damp paper logscroll had seen better days over the last several years or just victim to inconsiderate cacheri. I removed the putty remains in favour of a RITR logslip recycled from the environs good for a dozen or so signers until the cache owner can visit to preform maintenance. No bag handy nor one present in cache to grab the logslip and following cacheri will just have to rely on the previous finders leaving the cache in loggable condition. Cache returned to the hide as found and away to the next cache. TFTC **TSOD** 5pt
Didn’t take too long to find this one. Not the container I was expecting even after reading the description. Log a bit tattered but still usable. Tftc
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.
Enjoyed the trip around and the challenge of the finds.

Another good cache found on a nice day going from cache to cache with woolwood9.
We soon had the container located. SL: **tm/ww NZ**
*Thanks for putting this cache out for us to visit*
Short search in the dark turned up the cache!

Bindi would have loved this cache. We parked in Harbour Heights, as it seemed closer to the cache than the Connell Street entrance, which didn't have much parking. It has been a day of keeping an open caching mind in terms of containers today. Very clever. Took a wee bit of searching but had the cache in hand soon enough. TFTC.
Tricky find but my eldest boy got it in the end... haha bindi you almost beat us!
Really tricky..... as so many logs under the bushes.
So glad I perservered....
Thanks.
Even getting car access was tricky!
Wonderful views...

Met a couple of woofers along the way! Log book is sodden so will need replacing soon.
The paper log is saturated and needs replacing. This is definitely not my type of neighbourhood; by Jove what a depression tank, you can hear the Sandeman all around you. The cache container however is quite cleverly done, kudos!
Cool place for a hide. Seven adults confused until Mrs came up with the goods. Tftc and smiley
Took a bit to find today but call soon went up. No views today with the misty rain around

Was wary of this one as I had attempted another cache by Challispoint with no luck. However I fared better here!
Out and about with BCD on a gorgeous Dunners day. Glad to finally turn this frown upside down TFTC
Down in dunnas for the weekend "caching up" with kjr.
After a morning walk down to bolder beach and back up paradise track heading home but K insisted on one more stop for a wander amongst the houses wasn't long before I put my hand on it ,log very wet tftc

Came back today with an other couple of mates after an unsuccess attempt earlier in the year. All good today with smiles all round. TFTC
Saw the log from the bottom of the hill. Unpleasant surprise when I got to the top! Fortunately I managed to put myself in the mind of that geocacher and found quite quickly. Love the cache!
Walked up to GZ from where I had left the bike, walked around looking for an easy way in, and saw the first clue object, closely followed by both the second clue object and the container. Nice spot.

Nice wee wander up the hill with Kerynz tonight. Lots of hidey holes around here! After a short fossick around the cache was found. Nice container! TFTC!
Third try at this one. After seeing some recent finds logged headed out with Frame Family. A sneaky hide. Tftc
Like others felt a little exposed but buried in the thicket was able to find and log with relative ease. Out to make our goal of 365 finds for the calendar year but running out of days. TFTC
There are a number of places to hide this one so we were happy when we found the right spot. Found with debsnz
This was one of those caches that we felt a bit exposed as there are a number of houses overlooking GZ, especially as there are a number of places that it could be hidden and we did take longer than I would have liked but happy to have gotten there in the end. Found with AorakiSheep
With this having a few DNF"s I was surprised as to how quickly I found this. I just happened to approach from the right angle.
Went here with Daywalk at her suggestion 2 pairs of eyes better than one!
It was a different outcome today after failing in the past.
Ploughed into the centre of things, and I was a tad anxious about my down jacket, but luckily no holes. Found the cache quite quickly, and out of the public eye, too.
Log nice and dry, but the plastic baggie was useless, so ditched it.

We arrived with our tongues hanging out - Katiew plunged into the stumpery/shrubbery - and emerged with her tail wagging. Woof woof! She left it so it can be seen, from the correct angle. Would rate it T3 I think.
Used a search for this cache as an excuse to take Mrs D Senior for an outing. A search of all the obvious places didn't find it, so we drove up to the Rotary Park viewpoint for a cup of coffee and PAF. Back for another search trying to find the hint provided, also fruitless, and then it was past time to drive Mrs D Sen home again. Will have to make further enquiries and keep a few hours free next time...
I didn't, my partner did! Great container. Worth the effort. Best to search in good weather.
Took Mrs daywalk Senior up to the Jubilee Park lookout for a view and 'nipped down' the path a few hundred metres to find this... not. Have encountered a clever use of material by this CO before so have an idea of what it might be, but an unsuccessful search today. Too many possible places, the feeling of eyes drilling into your back and all those pokey shrub bits which are not nice for contact lens wearers. Will be back another day, preferably with company... but got back to the car in time for coffee in the sun.
Quick detour on the way to after school sports in our quest to get us closer to #800 by the end of October. Off to Rotary Park to look for 3 there. Plenty of building going on around with many houses looking onto GZ. Not sure if we were spotted by anyone but after a good 15 minutes searching and no luck we had to make a run in the rain in order not to be late! Will be back when it's a nice dry sunny day
A fair few places this could have been in! Spent a bit of time poking around but got it in the end. Thanks
Second time lucky! Was looking in the wrong place last time, found it quite quickly! Cute wee cache actually - good idea! Think we were being watched by the overlooking house (and made their baby cry and scream lol!) but no mind, we soon had the log signed. TFTC
No luck for us here today, but with time against us we didn't spend too much time here.
With the heavy rain we only looked for a minute or two - didn't locate the cache.
Yay made a nice change from pill bottles.
Neat cache and a great place to return visit. I used to go to school above here and my daughter was here just before the demise. I imagine a fantastic place to live.
Found on a great days caching with wethreefourdices TFTC

On a day trip caching with ingidayna. A quick easy find. Nice container. TFTC
This was certainly a fun find - the two of us struggled for a bit, were convinced that it was in one spot, then another... then I saw something definitely out of the ordinary and called Hevic over. A neat container in yet another park I didn't know about - cheers!
Found with CJ-Curry - the sun was bearing down and once we found it I left the signing to CJ while I hid in the shade. A dog in a house nearby spotted us, I hope he doesn't reveal the secret!
Out with eve07 so finished this one off in the dark. Not what I was expecting, glad of playing hot and cold in the dark.
Thought we would grab this one before dark. After finding the walkway which was longer to find as I am not familiar to this area - the cache was proving difficult with a muggle looking out the window. Great find when I spotted the cache! A fav again from me. TFTC Challispoint and HB!!!
What a great view from up here. And the cache is quite cool as well. Lots of new house going up around here soon there won't be a place for this cache I'm guessing. TFTC ☺
Found after reading the logs which gave me a bit more confidence. Very exposed. Thanks.
Like it. Gets a favorite from me. Nice use of the natural material. A few more houses being built in this area now so more eyes watching...
Out and about in our beautiful city with Doully and his better half. Exploring and cacheing, with catering supplied, (thank you). Despite the freezing rain last night today has been wonderful getting warmer as the day progressed. A really enjoyable day out. what a clever hide thank you had us nearly stumped.
A quick trip out before tea after a day wallpaper stripping, sanding and ceiling washing.
Needed some fresh air and a quick stretch of the legs and this fitted the bill nicely.
A few logs searched before the desired log was found.
Felt a bit exposed but wasn't in the area long.
A quick check of the view, a lot of helicopter activity tonight, and then a stroll back to the car.
Have a tick for your creativity.

Out for a bike ride from Mac Bay up and over the peninsular - Great for blowing the cobwebs away.
Eventually got this one after a hunt for the best access.

TFTC very nicely done, the bag log book is in may need replaced as there is a hole in it.
Wow! So many places to explore! Just as well the houses opposite are not quite finished, otherwise I would have felt like being on a stage... I hope the cache survives here! TFTC!!
We couldn't resist the temptation of a new cache only 850 metres away. We didn't manage to find the Connell St entrance to the park, as we were keeping an eye on activity around a van parked right opposite the entrance, which is obvious once you see it! Instead we used the Harbour Heights entrance, which is much closer and easier to find. The cache itself was definitely not easy to find, and we were looking at the prospect of a DNF until we changed tactics and discovered the nicely hidden cache. The hint was completely meaningless and unhelpful for us. FTF at 10.10 a.m. TFTC
A bit embarrassing not to get FTF on a cache just a little over 100 metres from home! Fortunately I have an excuse- I was caching at Waihola when the email came through! Took a few minutes to find as there are many little hidey-holes here. Eventually spotted something that looked a little too "fresh". I archived a cache just a few metres from here only a couple of months ago so pleased to see another one here. A few different ways to access the area but if you're wanting the quickest one from parking spot to cache then use Harbour Heights. TFTC.
