S_38 forgot hos phone and is switched on geo mind - good in this cache as my phone wanted me to keep going for another 16m. What a sensational spot!
Found it using the previous los as the GPS was a bit off, saying it was up the steep cliff area! David
It was a good day to head out into the bush for a decent bushwalk to clear the cobwebs of being inside for so much of the previous few weeks. We had done this walk early in our relationship and decided to head out for a wander. We were targeting three older caches and to take some photographs of the flora and fauna of the area.We took several hours to wander around the track and saw a wide variety of birds, saw evidence of wombats, several wallabies, kangaroos and an echidna. We found all three caches we were looking for, and they were all in good condition.Thank you, maccamob for this Traditional cache.
Very nice spot, the cache was a easy find.

Found it! Last cache for the day. The Walkabouters successfully managed the tightrope walk and were heading off along the track happy to be Beale back to the cars. I somehow managed to land in a puddle and as I was recovering I spotted what looked like a suspicious pile of rocks. Upon investigation I found the cache! It is in good condition, contents are nice and dry. TFTC SL
Detour to grab this golden oldie the Geo god took pity on me as I searched one thing I turned around and spied part of the cache my eyes lit up woo hoo, looking forward to coming back to walk the extended trail, today I took the short trail with a few detours very enjoyable.
Another nice quick find while walking the gorge circuit at Werribee Gorge. I am getting fitter by the minute.
Out with BogongHazy for a great afternoon's caching.
We did the short circuit today and grabbed all the caches along the way.
The river was as high as BH had ever seen, meaning there was a lot of clinging to rocks along the edge of the river trying to keep our feet dry. So much fun!
Thanks to Maccamob for placing this, beaut views all along here

We’ve had a lovely little four day holiday in West Melbourne, finding caches and visiting as many vegan restaurants as we possibly can. The whole trip was planned because we’ve never been to Werribee Gorge or Lerderderg (we’re from Leongatha) and they both looked like they offered fun bushwalking with plenty of caching opportunities.
Great hide, we very much enjoyed the section of the walk and we’re glad it was on our hone stretch. Thanks Maccamob for the cache

Disabled for the duration of the renewed Covid-19 lockdown. We believe the responsible thing is to disable all our caches until this latest crisis passes.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Although exercise is ok, beaches, parks etc are gradually being closed, and we are being asked to stay home. The virus can be transmitted by surface contact, so please don't take the chances. Geocaching is a game, and we are dealing with a serious Public Health issue, so we need to get our priorities in order. Please stay at home!
We believe the responsible thing is to disable all our caches, until this crisis passes.
Thanks.

Stopped here for lunch and without knowing, stopped right at GZ fortunately as GPS was jumping a lot
This took me wayyy too long! First started up too high, then there were muggles galore passing by. Completely underestimated the muggles today! Much busier place than anticipated. However with some waiting and persistence I found the cache in the obvious spot at the end. nice hide. Tftc
TFTC - Out on a perfect day for a walk with team Crack "n" LeeLee, our aim this visit is to collect caches along the circuit walk, nearly done.
A lovely spot to be hiking and caching.
Enjoyed getting to the area. No one fell in
Cache in good condition.

Day log:
Out today with 2beez to pick up the remaining unfound caches in this beautiful area. We parked at the bottom car park and completed the circuit anti-clockwise. The hike took us 5.5 hrs covering 11.9kms including lots of stopping for geos, lunch and enjoying the views. Such a lovely area so close to suburbia.
All caches were placed in well thought out locations and good sizes. Left swaps in all.

After attending an early morning event, we travelled into the city by tram to find a few caches then decided to venture West to find an oldie but a goodie.
Pleasant drive into the country and wasn't sure what to expect when we got there.
Parked in the car park then set off in search of this cache. The map helped with our journey and the interesting stops along the way were a delight.
Arrived at GZ and Snickersallan found the cache tucked up in its hide.
SL then returned as found.

Day 4 of our visit to Victoria and meeting up with several geocaching friends in the city then out in the countryside. This old cache was always on our must do list and after our mornings visit to the city we enjoyed the pleasant drive in the countryside and parked at Meikies Point before enjoying the nice walk along the Werribee River. It certainly was a picturesque walk and the nearer we got to the cache the landscape was just stunning. The hide was well placed and all is good with the log book, a favorite point from me.

Before leaving Melbourne a group of fellow cachers decided to find some more caches - why not! Arrived at GZ and cache located, signed the log and returned the cache to where found. TFTC.
After a nice couple of days in Ballarat the geowife and I decided we should stop and do some caching on he way home. Geowife picked the spot and off we went. Planning only to do about 2 hours of caching we finally emerged back at the top car park 5 and a half hours later. It was such a fantastic day and the gorge was absolutely beautiful we thought why not just keep going and in enjoy it. TFTC

Werribee Gorge River Walk is a gentle way to get into an epic geocaching adventure. Only had time to reach Lionhead before turning back so plenty more for next visit.
After climbing up the slope a good 10m turned round to check my bearings. Restart on the path and found a much easier way to GZ which had none of the drama slipping and sliding on the slate and shale rock face. CIGC TNLN TFTC 6Hinemoa2

Took a while to find as I may have gone more than a few steps up the hill. However, DeanosDino made a quick find while looking around a bit closer to the track. A good start to our hike in Werribee Gorge. TFTC
With the next few days being in the 40's I took the opportunity to visit the gorge before the heat took hold.
An enjoyable stroll along the babbling creek, being constantly curious of the drain which was answered during my adventures.
A fantastic location to sit and relax while taking in the flora and fauna.

Found on 24/11/17 but was late to log it on here. Excellent place for a cache and it's a spectacular area. Had a swim at Needles Beach, superb!
#3/6 of a day hike throughout the Werribee Gorge. I took my japanese friend with me. After only a couple of kilometres I realised we move very slowly and it is gonna be taff for him.. Nearby the cache we took the first of many breaks. TFTC

Wow what a cool walk. We did turn around at this point and I spent a bit of time trying to locate the cache amongst the stream of people coming through here today! Found eventually I replaced the ziplock bag on the log as it wasn't looking so good, the log is still however fairly soggy. thanks for the cache!
Lots of possible hides in this location. Took a while to find while trying not to look too unusual while heaps of people passed us on a very narrow path.
Back here for my third attempt at a section of this amazing circuit. Without geocaching I would never have been here so I am so thankful to you guys in placing these caches. It really is a gorgeous walk - especially along the river section which I did today. Just beautiful. I had a lovely morning and enjoyed my rock hopping section enormously! On the way out I saw a snake (eek) so it took a while for my heart rate to return to normal again! Ha ha. Thanks heaps - all nice easy finds with helpful hints!
After attending a nearby CITO TheMclookers, gmj3191, SteMicMitSar and leafotwind and ourselves made our way over to get a start on this series.
There was a kid climbing on the rocks right where the cache was, luckily his parents came along and they all moved on so we could make the find.

Today I had to go to plan B so after the CITO event at Pykes creek as the caches there were disabled, so we gathered the gang which consisted of McLookers, The Tritonz, Gmj3191, Leafotwind and myself and headed for the Werribee gorge and set about find a few caches. It was certainly a great walk around the area with lots to see and explore.
When we arrived at this one, there was a few muggles right behind us, so we had a of a search from a distance, they others were looking else where but spotted a likely hide the only problem was that the muggle kid decided he was going to do a bit of rock climbing right where I was wanting to look for the cache.
His parents finally got him down and they moved on, I then had a look where I was wanting to and found the cache.

Melbourne Cup Day is here, which meant a CITO at Pykes Creek Reservoir followed by an expedition into Werribee Gorge with McLookers, the Tritons, Stemicmitsar and Leafotwind.
Tania had hatched the gorge plan and I was pleased to be invited along by an early morning SMS. The plan involved doing as many of the Wiindows series possible before our available time expired. The plan worked well, and we just beat the rain, except perhaps for Steve who continued on when we had to depart.
A short search was successful. The horse racing context of the listing was appropriate for our Melbourne Cup Day visit.

As is usual with maccamob caches, a very picturesque spot. Although there were a lot of muggles due to it being Melbourne Cup Day there was a sufficient break for SteMicMitSar to make the find.
After having attended the nearby CITO I was pleased to be invited along on a caching expedition by SeMicMitSar, McLookers, gmj3191 and The Tritonz. The plan was to find as many of the Windows for your Sole series as possible in the limited time available as two members had unavoidable commitments later today.

Found it. #13 today. Well this cache lived up to its name. The lid was off and there was about 10mm of water in it. the log was O.K. only a little damp. I emptied the water out and clean it up the best I could. Lids on properly. Hope the log dries out. Thanks maccamob. TFTC.
During an enjoyable outing with PacGirl doing a circuit of the Werribee Gorge we took some breaks along the way so that I could find a few caches.
I had previously found most of the caches along the circuit, but this was one of the few unfound ones.
Returning back to our starting point at the Meikles picnic area along the 'race' in the late afternoon we stopped near GZ.
After a short search I again checked my GPSr and it had suddenly jumped and said I was 80m from GZ. This technical hitch didn't correct itself after about 10 munites, so I resorted to my phone and fortunately found the cache quite quickly.
The longer I cache the more I appreciate a classic maccamob cache, and the more I appreciate the original style of caches which generally took cachers on walks to interesting locations. That's my preferred style of caching. So this one sure gets a FP from me.
Thanks, maccamob.

This is a great spot. Thanks for giving me a reason to he here. You win the most fictional of all the prizes.
aketch1 and I decided to visit Werribee Gorge State Park to start tackling some of the more demanding caches in the region. We also took the opportunity to explore the area and take in the beautiful scenery. Amazing for being so close to a city! After a 4 hour hike and climb, we left the gorge and found some of the Eynesbury caches before making our way home. Thanks to all of the owners for their efforts, a great caching day!
How come I've never been here before?! What an amazing place. KETCHTHOR and I spent several hours hiking through the gorge. To be honest, our planning wasn't that great - we did alot of random wandering taking in caches on the way. If we had spent a bit more time studying a map we would probably have made the hike a bit more 'cache efficient'. That said, the scenery here is quite literally- prehistoric. We found a great place for lunch, by the river with the huge gorge walls looming over us. When we made our way along the track with the assistance of the fixed hand rails it did feel very Bear Grylls like. Thanks so much for putting these caches out.
I had tackled the entire gorge caches in an anticlockwise direction so when I arrived at this cache, it was the final home stretch. My GPS pointed me up the hill and after walking back and forth along the trail, I shook my head at the thought of climbing up there. However passed a fellow cacher who pointed me back in the direction I came. Soon found it after that. Had to dodge many muggles including two guys fishing near the steel handrails to find this cache.
A hike with half of Clint&Abby. This one had us scrambling around all the wrong locations. If we had just thought for a second....Luckly Clint found it before I did something stupid!

I'm baaaack !!!! There was no I was leaving this as a DNF, so 6 days later I made the return trip from Geelong. With a massive bruise from my last visit, I wanted to make amends today. Found in a couple of minutes, without climbing the hill This cache was definitely a case of "no pain, no gain", for me !! Glad to have a smiley here. TFTC maccamob.
First DNf for me today, but that wasn't the worst of it. Let's just say people should take note of your warning about the slippery hillside. I think I had ventured way too far up the hillside in search of this cache. Lost my footing and came crashing down to earth. Landed on my wrist, hip and knee on the path below. Boy I'm going to be sore tomorrow...... Needless to say I gave up on this one for today. I shall return !!!

After arriving at GZ the compass pointed me a few metres up the hill.
Oh dear it was a little slippery as I climbed.
Then after looking around at possibilities I thought this was going to be a needle in a haystack.
I turned to the hint, mmm not going to see that on the garmin and no service on the iphone too.
So down I came then widened the search. A little of the path I spotted a likely hide and there it was!!

Earlier this year I tackled about half of this series, however we detoured off and tackled the Acts of Gord which finished up the day for us with brilliant climbs! Vowing to come back, today was the day to return with Buckleysbabe and family in tow. Weather was perfect for the walk, not too hot and not too cold - no rain, slightly overcast.

A few months back I was here with Jacko83 and dbelco. We found quite a few caches but took a detour which significantly slowed us down. Today, Jacko83 and I returned (me with Geohubby and 2 rather reluctant Geoboys in tow) to find as many of the remaining caches as possible.
The weather was mild. We parked at the Quarry car park and headed round the track to see what we could see and convert those boxes to smileys.
Our ninth find of the day. After a bit of rock hopping and a quick poke here and there, we spotted the cache, signed the log and headed off for the next.
Left 2 TBs.

3 of 3 for the day using a phone to navigate GPS on phone was awful! I had a vague area to search. Found it on my second pass! Thank you for the wonderful cache and history of the area!
We were heading up to the cable challange not far from here (kids loved it and well worth a easy enough walk in to try it also) and made this a quick grab as we passed by. Thanks maccamob for the cache and the information on the area also. We had a few guesses on what we were walking on as we were heading in.

If there were one cache I wanted to complete on today's bushwalk around this beautiful area, it was this one. There were 70 caches left in Victoria that pre-date my 'caching birth' and this was one of them. As expected, the spot-on coordinates led me straight to GZ and I was signing another pre-birther at 14:55.
I even talked Alsume into signing the logbook and it looks like it might have been lucky I did.
What a great spot.

Found by The Empire @ 2:30pmish
I lost the little piece of paper in which I was recording my finds and times etc somewhere on the walk, so it was found at about 2:30pmish. Find number 10 of 14 this afternoon.
In recognition of the upcoming 10 year anniversary of the first ever Earthcache being published, it has become my mission to grab all of the Earthcaches I haven't found within reasonable distance from my home co-ordinates. There's only about 2 or 3 left. I had the whole walk planned but a Severe Weather Warning for dangerous winds and an afternoon storm meant I needed to cut things a little short. I knew if I parked at the top, found a few, then drove to the south end of the park, I could find the other Earthcache and a few more, hopefully making the milestone of 5,500 total finds and my 80th Earthcache find.
Another 'old school' maccamob cache, love finding these. It was here on the walk I decided to turn back. The winds above had picked up, and by the time I would reach the car the weather was getting a bit nasty. A milestone cache, 5,500th find. Thanks for the cache maccamob.

Nice to see a regular ...Quick & easy find . Thanks to maccamob for the cache. A great day to be out caching, weather couldn't have been better!
Found it while on a quiet walk along the river. A rustle in the long grass and the sound of sticks breaking turned out to be a couple of park workers spraying weeds. Phew! Didn't realise I was so jumpy.
Found! It was quite wet at GC but found this one quite quickly in a very nive spot along the river.
