Day #13 - The last Hurrah! My last minute WAGB adventure finally comes to a close today. It has been an absolute blast and huge thanks to everyone who was involved in organising and to those that gave me tips and help along the way. Today I made my way slowly to the airport for my evening flight home, via a few more caches. An interesting contraption that has multiple methods of extracting the log. Thanks for the adventure.A big thanks goes to jlotsos for taking the time to add Shanley Past the post to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor.TFTC. An interesting contraption.
Today is the fourth and last day of our extra long weekend for Taurus Six and I . We have been staying in the Serpentine / Jarrahdale area . The geocaching plan today was to just clear up as many straggler caches around Serpentine as practical , especially some of the SWH series. We then headed north including finding caches in Mardella and Mundijong , before hitting Byford for lunch . After that we switched across to the Kwinana Freeway / Forrest Highway before making it home to Bunbury at a decent hour to get caught up on life before work tomorrow . We collected a few more stragglers along the way. It was an overcast and showery day , with everything wet from the heavy rains over the past two nights , not complaining though everything looks and smells great after the rain .Alas we didnt have anything with us either to clean the contraption or connect to the contraption so we were not game to put our mouths to it. Next time . Good idea though.
Super clever design, fave point from us too! Disinfected before and after use Signed log and reset for next use. Thanks for placing for our enjoyment whilst were out making memories. TftcMM
Out on a bit of a cache hunt before picking my daughter up from a camp in the area. TFTC
How very clever and interesting. The log was super wet and couldn't be saved and no logs were legible. We replaced the log with new and returned the cache. Great to see a cache with a unique design- a favourite point from us. Thanks jlotsos
A different concept. Not COVID-19 precaution friendly! Deefa71 did the honours here: he's full of hot air. fave point. Tftc
Great cache. Always good to see something a little different. Favourite point here.
TFTC and the series. We finally made it back to complete the series after logging a couple of finds way back in 2019. This was a clever and creative cache and a fun series. Have a favourite point from us
It's a beautiful day so a quick shop and tidy up of the home and off for a day caching.
Chwiliwr did the retreiving of the log here and I stood clear after reading some of the logs.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

The Better Half and I decided that it was such a beautiful day we would go do some caches after a quick shopping trip and a small tidy up of the home.
Cache found without problems. Log signed and the cache returned as it was found.

Out for the day doing some suburban caching with 26 finds and a new record of 8 DNFs.
Weather was overcast and threatening more rain after bucketing down early this morning so threw the raincoats in the car and set off towards Byford to hopefully clean up the map some more. We got very lucky with only a few sprinkles during the day but not so lucky with too many DNFs.
FAVOURITE OF THE DAY!! Hubby performed the required task..... unfortunately I had my head in the wrong spot and received a face full of mud! Pazza saying definitely a favourite!!!!!
Well done on a very clever cache jlotsos!!!!!!!
Fave point definitely!!!!
log was soaked so new log put in.....

Found it. TFTC jlotsos. Lucky I had a TOTT. . Quick find but retrieving it was the problem. Replaced as found.
After aborting our morning in Dark Energy language series due to flood waters, we ended up down this way grabbing some caches. We have been meaning to grab this one for a long time now. We quickly figured out what was needed and Leega nearly shot a bird out of the tree whilst retrieving the cache. We made our mark on your log and returned your cache back to where it lives. Favourite point coming up when I get a new delivery. TFTC jlotsos
Loved it! A favourite from me. So simple, so cool! I must add that I am easily amused, so this was perfect. Axell33 was at the ready but said it was like trying to catch a bullet and I nearly shot a bird in the tree!!! Thanks so much for this cache jlotsos.

Unfortunately I think someone’s blow was a little too wet and made this log to soggy to sign.

Haha.... love this cache. Haven't been in that position in ages! Definite fave point for you... still laughing...... TFTC
Oh wow! I was sooo close to giving up on this one before deciding to approach GZ from and different direction and bingo! The coordinates are a little off but as always it pays to have a decent scout around. I re read the description and worked out what to do (sorry Mr Lizard for disturbing you) and soon had the log in hand. Signed and returned. A brilliant cache. Thanks jlotsos
Found this one straight up but was a bit stumped about what to do with it! Scratching my head seemed to help after trying a few things because the light bulb appeared and I knew what to do. Ta-dah! Log in hand. Great idea. Favourite point for sure tftc jlotsos
Co-ords off. Spent too much time looking in the wrong place. Found it on route back to car
Oh that was so sneaky love it by far my favourite suggest reading what owner has written on discription
Morning adventure caching with Spike and geodog Stan on the day off!
Very cool cache! Remember your special tool ;P also loved the emu across the road!

Yayyyyy!!!! I did it! 1000 finds and what a magnificent cache to do the honors on. Beautiful scenery, tricky cache and very worthy of a fav point here. Awesome construction and given the COVID-19 pandemic all precautions were taken. Thank you for coming up with such a cool idea - So glad I got to celebrate my milestone find with the horses and a very curious emu. Yeeehaaa! Im now in 4 digit finds!
Great cache love the idea.
I came, I saw, I signed the log. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Cache is in good condition.

Quite ingenious indeed! After reading logs bags an idea what to do. Saxophonists can given trumpeter a run for their money - even with a cold! Definitely a favourite. Bonus was chatting to very friendly horses and eyeballing an even more curious emu in the paddock across the road.
We drove past this one many time on our way to MS country but never stopt.
Today we finally stopt and found a nicely made cache.
MRx and little A volunteered to retief it.
Thanks for the fun and the cache jlotsos

Had to drag muggle husband out to make the catch. Now out of breath. Tftc, very creative,
Haha, what a different way to hide a cache. I like it! I'm not a germo so soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache jlotsos, found it at 1:37:00 PM it was cache number 2896 for me and was number 18 in my run of 26 finds and 3 DNFs for today's geocaching effort.
Cheers
Came by after the event in Mundijong. I had never been caching down this way as we live NOR - it's a beautiful area. I targeted this cache today as it was placed on one of my missing Hidden Dates... I don't think that the cache is as intended at the moment as I found the log on the ground. I placed it back in the obvious spot. Thank you for the hide jlotsos.
I thick the is something not quite right but I can guess what it should be. Wrote in an log and put by it back. Cheers.
Bit tricky on my own.. Could not feel anything coming out the top, tried many times..
Found log in bottom pipe..

Decided to spend some time this morning with myself and my GPSr and the car with the plan to clear some caches between home the the SWH.
The day was not to warm, but at time hot, but still, nice to find these little prizes in the Bush. Some I made more difficult that they needed to be, and only 3 DNFs today.

Thanks jlotsos for bringing me to this location. I found the cache at 9:29:00 AM. This was my 2 Find for today out of a Total number of 27 for Today. The cache was found in Good Condition and I returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 3691.

A overcast but fine day to be out and about. Plenty of water laying around from the recent rains. Parked nearby and strolled to GZ. Managed to grab 18 today.

Took my mum out for a day of geocaching fun. She is great at spotting caches before me and doesn't let me forget it, I think she needs her own caching account.
Well with both of us on walking sticks I guess that I couldn't ask mum to do the deed so down I went.
I did bring a baby wipe and used it wisely while the deed was done, I then hear my mum laughing as she copped a face full of water. Our next trick was to get me into a standing position, not a pretty site lol
We found the cache, signed it and returned to where it lived.
A favourite point from me.

Our last day around this neck of the woods before heading home, this was another find for us whilst caching in the area… Spotted the hide for the car & we all jumped out for this one Had heard about this one before & it did not disappoint… Especially, since all the rain over the last couple of day’s I’m sure those who have found it can imagine the result Im glad it was Jase who chose to do the deed as it was hilarious to watch… Ha-ha!
Thanks for the fun cache jlotsos [^]

My GPS was 8 metres off but found easy enough. Was unprepared and being on bikes should have had correct tool on us. But didn't. So had to resort to more primitive method.
As I arrived at GZ I found what appeared to be the hiding spot and returned to my car to retrieve the needed tool... at least what was needed in my mind.
With attempt after attempt coming up empty handed I was just about to call it a day when WebblyWA stopped by and gave me a hint. Container removed from hiding spot all I had to do now was locate it, sign it and return it. All done successfully, TFTC.

After a couple of days of coastal caching, we headed inland and picked up quite a few caches as we explored the National Park area and learnt more about the Serpentine Dams. You certainly need to keep an eye on the prize!
Definitely deserves a FP for ingenuity.
Thanks jlotsos for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Quick find - took longer to negotiate who was going to attempt the challenge. Favourite point from us. TFTH
I came looking for this cache. Having never read up on it I was totally unprepared. I did what was need, don't think about it, don't think about it (thank you travel baby wipes). Luckily it wasn't black or I'd have never found it.
This cache is 1 of 3 remaing dates placed to fill my finds by that category. 2 to go. TFTC

Completely unprepared for the task at hand I did what I cringe to think many had done prior to me. Thanks for the cache.
This was way funnier than it should have been due to the small lizard that followed the cache out of its hidey hole!
Hi there jlotsos.
We found your cache **"Shanley Past the post"** at 12:54:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14916.
Our plan for the day was to complete some of the SWH series, together with a few others that were also close to the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our drive attempting caches to the left on our way north and picking up the ones we missed on the return trip. We found a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way, and also managed to pick up a couple of trackables.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge if the container was large enough.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We had already completed The Dam Road and Chandler series today so thought we would make it a jlotsos hat trick and do these on the way home. Another fun series.
Luckily i remember having read about this one so caution was the order of the day and we were soon signing the log. A well deserved fave here

I had some spare time today and I decided to try and tackle some of the South West Highway caches. All the caches were found fairly easily with the odd one taking a little longer than others. Thanks to all the cache owners who have placed a cache here. I loved the huge variety of caches - some very small, others very big. Many of them were very unique
In total, I found 15 caches today. All of the caches were found in a good condition, I signed the log books and replaced them as I found them. Thanks for the hide.
-Had no pump, so cupped hands around the pump and blew. It worked well enough for me to retrieve the cache. Fav point for a very fun and inventive cache.

Looking for caches to the South including some I missed previously. I had a problem with my horse, he went the wrong direction but we did make it back to the start. This one just blew me away, favourite point from us for the cache and series.
Thanks jlotsos for the cache.

Hi jlotsos, we found your fantastic little series of caches today. A variation of a theme that we have not seen before . Thank you.
Wow, that's awesome and very original. We just love these types of caches. Thanks to Clan-Wallace's log entry for the hint. This gets a favourite from us.
Found Shanley Past the post. I wouldn’t have figured out how to retrieve the cache hadn’t been by a chance meeting with the charming m4yb who coincidently just popped up to say hi . A favourite point is in order here for such ingenuity. Thank you m4yb and TFTH jlotsos.
Quick drive down the SWH to pick up some caches this was a bit of a detour but a nice change off the highway. I found your cache thanks for the hide.
I have to admit this one made me laugh and after the hit I worked out what I had to do.
Fun set up and not one I've seen before so fav point from me !

TFTC! Had a bunch of free time on a lazy Sunday so teamed up with Cravo10 to grab a bunch of caches in and around Jarrahdale.
We were originally heading to the CBD as there are a huge number of new caches that way but decided to head down to Jarrahdale.
Our main target today was the TEch Civilisation series after seeing some awesome reviews on the local geocaching Western Australia Facebook page.
We had a great day out starting by grabbing the Jlotos series on Shanley road, which were all nice simple grabs except one where we had to look for quite some time before slapping ourselves in the forehead. We loved the post cache, you'll see it when you get there, a huge effort from the CO to out together a nice well thought out cache.
Well the tech series certainly lived up to expectations, a hugely well put together series with an awesome variety of cache types and container types which kept us guessing for what was coming next. This series is a huge credit to the COs, and they deserve all of the favourite points coming their way (if people have enough in the bank!!)
We spent quite some time grabbing all of the caches, even had a couple of DNFs which is kinda good as we get to come back!! We metup with FErnando girls and Britt Girls (I think) at one of the caches, was great to finally put a face to the name and I think they liked the smile that came to my face when they told me about the difficulty they've had with some of my caches in the south Perth area.
We cannot speak highly enough of the caches in this series, I do hope that as time goes by that caches will support the COs in replacing logs as they become wet and full as there are a large number of micro and small caches in the series.
We now can't wait to tackle their other series how hard can it be? Which looks quite hard lol.
Thanks to all of the COs for their caches today we had an absolute blast and can't wait to come back to grab a few more. Thanks

Headed out with Barnzy12 today to go tackle the Civilisation Series in Jarrahdale.
The afternoon was a lot of fun and frustration at the same time.
like normal i was relying on B12 with the offline list and as such i rarely was using my phone, thus meant that all inputs to Co-ordinates were completed by Steve himself. After a phone a friend and realising that we had the correct coordinates we kept looking only to "soon" find out they were entered wrong and infant we were 145 meters away from GZ.
It did get better from there with all required Tools found and or bought with us to find the majority of the caches.
we did however have a few DNF's mainly due to the fact that the rain set in at the end of the day and we were more focussed on how to stay dry than on finding the cache. Turned out that we had been looking so long that we didn't realise how wet we got and gave up from then. It did pay off as when we got in the car the rain increased and on that note we called it a day.
All caches found were in good condition and replaced as found.

Hahaha what an event that turned into! After some reading i figured this had to be it! Managed to get it out and my daughter found it sitting on the shrub next to it. She didn't actually see it. So we signed the log, had a lovely visit from a lovely lady in the house nearby wondering if we needed any help and realised we were geocaching. We had a wonderful funny chat about this cache. Then i put it back and my daughter wanted to see it in action...note to others, don't use all your power! Anyways after a short while of looking where it went and wondering how i was going to explain how this cache got lost to the CO...lucky we found it and had to search for a very long stick to get it down. This was after I tried to climb up and get it...haha tftfunnyf x2
We heard about this one at the WA Goes BIG event over the weekend so were thinking about heading to the airport this way, which became a certainty once I found out about Firnsy's newest cache: SWH...skyebomonkeytown- so now we definitely had to come this way! Having a plane to catch we didn't really have caching time but we made an exception for these two (and left a little earlier). Having missed out on FTF of "my" cache by mere minutes we were onto this one and soon worked out what had to be done - what a funny caching experience! Thanks jlotsos, have a favourite point!
On the WAGB weekend and grabbing some caches on the way home. Quick find here ... then it took a few minutes to work out what to do with it. I'm not sure my method was the correct method, but it worked and it did wet my whistle a bit.

What a bit of fun. I was the only one who hadn't signed this (I think) out of our group. Gave it a red hot shot and there she blows. Everyone thought it was hilarious. Tftc
Once it was decided the youngest was doing the duties things proceeded smoothly although I probably should have been paying better attention! Anyway signing duty done once laughter settled & off we go. TFTC

A clever hide. We managed to hit on the retrieval method a bit by serendipity and then understood the hint.
Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.
Thanks jlotsos for placing this cache.

Found it today, wow what an ingenious way to hide a cache. Well deserving of a fav point. TFTC great hide
Due to the CO being away at the moment and really enjoying this cache, I have done some maintenance on it with the CO's permission to get it up and functioning once again. All is good now.
Found this one, but strongly suspect that it is not how it should be. Somebody has tampered with it by the looks of things, but not us. Thanks for the smiley though jlotsos
Thought I'd do rest of this series as I found Winners Trophy by taking a wrong turn. Very clever good thing Geohubby is full of hot air. # 666 for us. TFTC cheers

Was a good one.
We found our 100th cache in 47 days.
I walked past it and Geo wife spotted it.
I should read the hints.
Made us happy.
