11686 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 0900. All we could find here was a burnt part of a log sheet stuffed into a hole in the post near the gate. This cache needs maintenance. SL Tnx Nedandmrskelly.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 122. Yeppoon to Raglan via Rockhampton. I spent the morning around Yeppoon visiting a few more caches before beginning my journey South. It all took a bit longer than expected and I managed to find a few more caches than expected as well, so I pulled up early at a pub along the highway at Raglan. I'll get to Gladstone tomorrow and have a few more caches to do in the morning.
Having reached the GZ, I soon saw the remains of an old log, but nothing new. I extracted a fragment and signed, but it is not in very good condition.
Thanks for the cache Nedandmrskelly

This was a bit challenging to find, but even more challenging to retrieve and sign the log. Everything is soaked and mushy and almost impossible to sign. Eventually wrote SP as best as we could.
Another beautiful day in Yeppoon. We headed out in the morning to search for some more caches and chase on a couple we missed yesterday. Some completed puzzles, a multi and traditionals were amongst the tally.
Thank you to the local COs for their work in developing and maintaining the caches.

Another clever hide, seen some in similar places but this was a little different. FP given

I got the the hide and realised I had left my tweezers in the car and this was one cache I was going to need them. I tried banging on the hide trying to dislodge it but only succeeded scaring a poor spider senseless with the reverberations. Unsuccessful I trudged back to the car and for the necessary tool and the log was obtained.
Found with a group of cacher friends. I thought this was great so I am giving it a favorite point
great hide. this is a favorite .and willmark as such when i get to the home computer. thank you.
Found when out caching with PPrass and Temingi nice tricky little hide.

On our way back after doing some of Temingi's caches up around Byfield, we cleaned up the area around here. A tricky little hide that Ian worked out quickly.
Thanks Nedandmrskelly.

In Yeppoon for 7 days and head home in 2 days. My plan was to achieve 50 finds whilst up here without any really difficult ones, due to a crook knee at the moment, avoiding the puzzles and any needing water craft. I have achieved my goal of 50, actually have surpassed that number and now just finding ones close to where we are staying.
Drove past initially and came back and parked in a safe spot off road as close to opposite GZ as I could Walked over the road then over the Barrier then down through the grass to the fend. That is where I found some big angry ants. Soon spied what I thought would be the host and saw the log sheet. Used a retrieval tool to extract the log. Returned as found. Signed log on line 30 with my usual YOF that I use on small and micro logs to save room on the paper.

Heading from Byfield towards Mackay for our next house sit, picking up a few caches on the way. We passed this one a few days ago, but worried about where to park, so did the other three around the corner. This time, we parked nearby, walked up and found the cache. Thanks Nedandmrskelly
Number two for today, it took us a little while, in the blazing sun. But what a terrific hide. Beautifully done. I'm rather proud that I got these two first today. Normally I don't stand a chance at these kinds of ones when out with hancockT. tftc. Now let's go and see about Bundy and Ross

Seeing that I had a half day I have allocated to caching while here, temingi kindly took me around the "back" area to Nedandmrskelly's caches. As Ken had travelled out to Alpha to visit my earth cache, I though t return the favour and visit some of Ken's caches.
This was a nice quick find after jumping the barrier across the grass to the fence line. Above ground it says, and tweezers. OK, so that is where it has to be. Yep.
Found at 11.00am on 25th May 2016. TFTC.

You may think this is a "Drive-by " as the Parking co-ords and the Cache co-ords are identical.

Had a few hours off so we went out to make a find or 2. This one was interesting as the suggested parking coordinates ended up being the cache itself. go figure. we did find a parking area and legged it to the cache and made the find pretty easy. Well I did , Ratdog missed it , log was a little damp but it has been raining.
