I’ve replaced this one too many times and tried an assortment of containers with no luck of them staying put. Time for it to go.
I’ve come a couple times but each time there is no luck. Was here with a friend as well...
Looking to clean sweep the park, but unfortunately the last one had us stumped
A quick note to the co for a hint, and the response should have had us right on top of it....
Still no good, we believe this one has gone missing

After our DNF last time it was good to revenge. Found easily this time as Tawny Frogmouth watched us. TFTC
We came here last Friday but could not make a find as it was after hours.Today we came by to avenge a previous DNF on a nearby cache and made the find quickly thanks to a friendly hint from the CO. Thanks Coastblue.
The last time we came to this park on Australia Day weekend the little zoo was closed. We came in time today and it was well worth the return visit. The zookeeper was in feeding the sugar gliders and held them up for us to see. So cute! This container is well hidden. We were the first to sign the replacement log while the tawny frogmouths looked on. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Came to the Merrylands/Fairfield area for some geocaching before the long weekend ends. No luck for us today but that was because the area closed at 4pm and we were here a little later than that. It’s such a nice park that we will return before long to visit the creatures. Cheers... Gaztek
Nope. Checked with CO. Think the area may have been tidied up. Thanks anyway for trying to help coastblue. We'll be back.
Found with CastleKay and AwesomeJackAttack4. Much stealth required as lots of muggles at the park for school holiday fun. After a few searches in between muggles coming and going we were soon signing the log. TFTC!
Oh finally.
Do you ever have those days caching where you cant seem to find anything?
This is my fourth cache today and the first 3 were DNFs.
I came in to see if i could find this one and was able to spot it right where coastblue suggested.
A muggle family came through as i was doing signing duties and i had to wait for them to head off before replacing the cache.
Thanks.

Replaced. Slightly different spot but no need to update the coords. It’s about a metre away from the chair.
Organising another different replacement. Will be able to get out there over the Christmas break.
First of two DNFs this morning while out with the geokiddies at Central Gardens.
Arghh...beaten by a difficulty 1!! It was quiet today around the Bird Avery and with the kids keen on some morning tea I thought this would be the perfect spot to have our morning snack. So while the kiddies ate and watched the birds, mum did some weird stretching, crouching and suspicious looking around for the cache. Could not find anything cache-like. I'll message the CO and check if its gone AWOL.
Thanks for placement P&Q/Coastblue, a DNF is a good excuse to return to this great park.

Geodad got to pick the afternoon’s activity for Father’s Day and chose to head out geocaching. Geoteen was reluctantly dragged along for some family bonding time.
Three sets of eyes but no luck. Looked high and low, took a rest, all to no avail!

Searched for over an hour and came up empty handed. Such a bummer. My GPS was not my friend today, and there were so many muggles. Will be back though as my girls love this park.
Found with daughter while out from westmead hospital needs a new log as is full.

I stopped at this lovely park, where we have also had family gatherings. I walked to GZ where I found the cache, and then at my lunch while being eyed off by a pair of Tawny Frogmouth's, thanks I enjoyed the location.
Located at 9:26am. I frequented the Merrylands Central Gardens what now feels like to me every weekend in the 90s. This was my playground growing up and my cycling domain. So many fun adventures were to be had here. It obviously felt a lot larger back then but still is a fun place to come back to. The Tawny Frogmouths were quite animated today and the Emus were on constant patrol. I made only one find of the three hides here. One I dnf’d and the other I left as it had a string of dnfs. Still happy to have come back through Geocaching. Cheers. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

Didn't find it last time (13 Mar 17)
Still took a little while this time. Went around in circles a few times looking in all the wrong places and waiting for the muggles to move on. However I did enjoy seeing the birds.
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon my travel bug companion also visited.

Hunted around for a while, around the shed twice. I think the kookaburra was wandering what I was doing.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Geocaching wouldn't be possible without the owners.
This one brought me to a nice sport which wasn't too busy. Finders beware of the spiders....
This cache is defenitely NOT available 24/7 so ignore the attribute
Cache condition: good
Logbook: 3-5 entries left (space running out)

Today we headed out to Guildford for lunch with the inlaws, and also to visit the Andrews Communications store at Greystanes to purchase a new dual band 2m/70cm HAM radio antenna for our new geomobile. Stopped off on the way to collect a few caches at Holroyd Gardens (Holroyd), Central Gardens (Merrylands), and Bathurst Street Shops (Greystanes). This was the 4th of 5 finds for the day.
After finding a few caches around the Holroyd area we were now on our way to Andrews Communications at Greystanes, but decided to stop off at Central Gardens for this cache. Parked the geomobile in the park's parking area and then strolled into the park and over to the mini zoo.
Had a nice wander around the various animal enclosures before arriving at GZ, where the hide was quickly uncovered and the cache was in hand. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC P&Q.

I've driven past this place many time and had no idea it was such an amazing place. Cache found quickly in good condition, although the log is nearly full.
It was not anywhere my partner and I looked, we were free of muggles and looked for half an hour and found nothing ?!?!?!
A short walk around the park. We never would be there before, it's pretty quite.
Quick find.

Nice Queens birthday long weekend, extra day of caching.
Had a great day locating these 3 caches, and interacting with the wild animals housed within.

Out for a cache with contactpete after a morning of Crossfit. Quick find amongst the beautiful Central Park.
After a day pounding the pavements it was nice to finish up with the caches in the beautiful park.
Bird Avery was the last one. A muggle was right at GZ so I visited the animals first, when I looped back he'd moved on
A great location

After lunch at Cabramaata, we stopped here on the way home because I thought the geodaughter might like a visit to the animals. She did! Strange to see a kookaburra in a cage, but it was a great place to visit, loved the golden finches. Geodaughter got a visitor on her shoulder (see photo). Cache in good shape.

This spot is one of the reasons u love this park. Tftc. And the close attention of some of the wildlife.

Out for a walk with geomum and Mr-geo-11-month-old. I loved this place as child. Geomum would bring us often and then as a teen, I came here for a couple of school excursions given that I went to Cerdon College just around the corner. It has changed since the last time I was here and I was saddened to hear that animals were being killed by people so new fencing had to be put up to fully lock up the enclosures.
Found this cache first. Wasn't a hard find but it was hard to retrieve and replace because of all the muggles! Thank you for bringing me back here. Truly do love this place!

Quick find at Lunchtime today despite the rain that started to fall as soon as I got out of the car I was still able to make the find. very quiet here today TFTC
Came to area, but muggles (park staff) were working right near GZ, so could not search for it.
Will have to come back some other time.
Will have to come back some other time.
Despite a soggy rainy day I needed to get out of the house. First time here so I said hello to all the animals in my soggy shoes but bright disposition. Tftc.
Thank goodness that didn't last anywhere near as long as the boardwalk one. Beautiful area TFTC!
Figured I’d knock all three in the area off with the one parking spot, starting with the closest. Apart from one mini muggle and his dad saying hello to an owl, only had to contend with annoying ants as I quickly located the cache.
Found after what proved to be a difficult search due to ancient muggles wandering around. Must have been their outing day.
Of course that meant I had plenty of time to check out all the birds and lizards around.
When I first started working I used to come on the bus from Merrylands to Greystanes along the road past this park. I always thought it was just bushland - maybe it mostly was in those days. Its a great location now!
So it was about time I visited.

Came down to Sydney from Newcastle to visit. We come to this nice little bit of nature in the big smoke. Quick find. TFTC
It was my first time to this park today and I was super pleased to see there was a cache here. Satellite map led the way as my phone's GPS continued to be spotty (need a new one). TFTC!
This was the last of three caches we found in this park this morning. There were groups of people with intellectual disabilities and their carers enjoying some of the exhibits closer to the entrance, so we walked past them and made the find, signed the log and returned the cache before they wandered down further to where we were sitting. Thanks

I brought the kids and bikes down for the event, but it seems we were a bit too late, as no one was there.. Still. This is one awesome park and the kids loved the animals and the fountain, but one puddle took the prize for the best part of the park. TFTC.
Found with geodad and sister while in the park for an event. Dad did all the finding, while we rode our bikes around him.!
I was not sure how the weather would be today (after yesterday's miserable conditions) with a forecast of rain in the morning. When I woke up I looked outside the window and, while it was blowing a gale, the sun was shining and things were looking up. Considering this good fortune, I decided to venture out west to an event over in Merrylands and take the opportunity to find some caches in the area while I was there. Morry9 messaged saying he was keen to join me, so he drove over and we headed off together. We headed towards Merrylands and arrived in the area early, so we had plenty of time to attempt a few caches before the event, and found 'Childhood Memories #3', 'Water Towers #08 - Greystanes', 'Childhood Memories #2', 'Prickles' and 'Please Release Me'. All were fairly straightforward finds.
We arrived at the '1st Anniversary of Caching' Event Cache right on time. I enjoyed chatting with the regulars and meeting some new cachers. During the event, we ducked over to find ‘Little Oasis’, ‘Pinaroo’ and ‘The Bird Avery’, which were all located in the Central Gardens. Congratulations to wraacie (and also to Gaming Caving) on reaching your first year anniversary of geocaching!
I had to drop morry9 back because he had something on later in the day but met up with AlphaDeltaIndigo and pk1965 soon thereafter to start the afternoon shift. We started in Epping for another crack at 'Only the Beginning'. A pair of undercover cops, who had been called to check on the bus stop by a concerned neighbour, had interrupted my first attempt at this cache. This time it proved to be a much easier find and it was a good feeling to have finally reached the end. We continued to Carlingford, so AlphaDeltaIndigo and pk1965 could find the old school ‘Sydney Geocache Relocated’ and, on the way out, we stopped by the Murray Farm Scout Hall next door to find 'Hunting on Haines'. Intrigued by the high difficulty and terrain rating, we wanted to check out ‘Catch 22 #Brawn’ next and were able to muscle our way to complete this challenging hide. We then spotted a group of caches in Bidjigal Reserve and spent some time walking around (and negotiating a tricky creek crossing) to find ‘Alexandras Crashpad', 'Ted's Toybox' and 'Shape Confusion'.
While in Bidjigal Reserve, we noticed a few new geocaches had recently been published. Being a fair way away, I was not entirely confident we could reach them in time but we kept an eye on them nevertheless. Once we made it back to the car, we decided to head over to Rhodes where to new caches were hopefully still waiting for us when we arrived. At 'Become a Rhodes Scholar Part 2.', we bumped into RangerD and JoPS87 (nice to meet you both) and we eventually spotted something out of place, to make a joint First To Find. We then walked over to 'Become a Rhodes Scholar Part 1' together for a much easier hunt and claimed our second joint First To Find of the evening.
Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.

Found with Seemyshell and a few other locals whilst at the nearby event. What a great location! I always thought this was a golf course in here! What a nice surprise!
Introduced the sister Inlaw and nephew to their first cache. This is the wife's first find
#777 while in the park came after this one each time I got close to GZ someone came to look at the birdies. Just about to leave when the area cleared. So back to GZ for a quick grab & sign of the log and replace. Thanks for the cache P&Q
