I wish I could say we had success here as it is a great place to be taken to. But no luck across the stile today I'm afraid. Thanks fjmcdonald, next time perhaps
I insisted we head here on our arrival in Christchurch as I really need the old cache further up the track for my Jasmer stats. But first this - a quick easy find on a gorgeous day. Tftc
Quick find out in the open after walking up to the cabbage trees, not the best day for it but pleased I knocked the bastard off. Couldn't find a hidey hole for it, but did the best I could to hide it out of sight.
Quick and easy cache! Cache was a few meters from where it was supposed to be but I returned it back to its cozy little spot. Be careful not to step in the poo! TFTC
As we approached we thought someone was sitting at GZ but it turned out they werent. Quick easy retrieval. TFTC
Came up the hill to check out the view and winery /cafe (closed today) so grabbed cache instead. Old log full so left paper for new log. TFTC
Quick find on our way up the hill. Love the lifting gate for dogs Cheers fjmcdonald!
I've come to ChCh for a few days to visit my teen who going to Uni here. Given teenagers/uni students don't get up before it pm I had some time to do my own activity. I searched the map for areas to go with either 'good numbers' or 'interesting location' that were also easy to get to by bus (Good Friday too). I was initially going to do the Bridal Path over near gondola then spotted this Mt Vernon area and the bus stop was right beside this high favourite cache with a path leading straight on to the Huntsburry Track up the hill.
Realized once the road finished I probably needed to be on the paddock or grass side of the fence to walk up the hill. So entered and GPS quickly lead me to the right spot and cache was easily seen as it wasn't covered by anything. Signed log, put back and covered with natural materials.
Cache was a quick find and because I had walked up from Centaurus Rd I didn’t have a spare logbook on me to replace the existing one as it is getting very full. All my geocaching supplies are in the car
After logging the nearby oldie cache this was an easy find on the way back. The log is full. Tftc
I was in the area for work, and thought I'd sneak up here and grab this. Quickly located
TFTC fjmcdonald, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #3115

First of the day. There appears to be a winery restaurant of some sort getting built up here. Not sure where the vines are, but good views from here anyway. Quick find, all good. TFTC fjmcdonald.
RG72 and I are in Chch for the long weekend to catch up with family and celebrate a few birthdays. And with the weather forecast not looking great for much of it, we went out late this morning for a walk in the hills.
Nothing too taxing, just 4km covered with a bit of elevation thrown in of course, but 5 caches targeted and all found in pretty good nick. Nice views too. Thanks all.

Day #7 of my Geotour.
A short day from Akaroa to Christchurch, although there were plenty of side trips.
Walking up this track to find the Cabbage Trees cache. A quick find here.

Parked nearby for a walk up the hill to the old ChCh port hills and it seemed a shame not to stop and look for this one. Quick find with spoonz2
This cache was a bonus for us while we were passing. Not too tricky, but the log really is mouldy. Just managed to get our names on to the log, but it does need replacing. Thanks for placing this.
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
Time for a few out west and south today and then returned to our accommodation to watch the Americas Cup racing. Once that was finished it was out the door again to get a nearby oldie and any others we could before dark.
I hadn't really planned on driving the rental cache mobile up this road, but the gate was open, so we headed on through with wheels spinning in the deep loose gravel. Once the oldie was accounted for, headed back down and stopped off for this one. A nice quick find but the log was a bit damp and mouldy. TFTC

Quickly found with indiboo but very sticky.hard to write on the logbook. Tftc
Out for some walking on the hills looking to find caches with busy paws and Geomum007. Found the cache, log very sticky as wet with a lolly dissolving. Have removed lolly. Thanks for the cache fjmcdonald.
Out and about today with a couple of others for some caching fun. This one was quite exposed, and very sticky, a fruit burst lolly combined with water in the cache made for a bit of a mess, cleaned as best possible. TFTC.
Visiting Christchurch to see the grown up kids who are on Uni holidays. Today went for an extended walk on the PortHills. A rather damp and miserable day but good to be out and collecting some smileys. This one was not tucked away but lying out in the open. Signed the log and replaced best I could. Thanks
Greetings from Scotland. We parked nearby and walked to the golden oldie up the hill. On the way back we decided to stop to pick this one up. After such a quiet walk earlier, the muggles were certainly out in force now. We were dodging them all the way down the hill. We arrived at GZ and studied the phone for a minute or two until the coast was clear. We headed over to see if we could find this one. We walked around and MrsF spotted the hiding place. Thankfully, we were well hidden while we signed the log and returned the cache to its hiding place.

Quick easy find in the obvious spot on my way past to a meeting which was timed to align with my lunch hour so I could grab some nearby caches. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache.
Container , logbook ... Going next...

On a road trip down south with the mates , primarily targeting TMGTs and high faves.
Last leg of our journey, today will see the completion of the geo tour and a few others in between.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

I went for a trip with my friends and we found it behind a rock quite easily.q
A nice longish walk on a sunny Friday afternoon. Quick find in the obvious place, but sadly lots of evidence of some people toileting nearby... TFTC!!
An easy find. Not so fond of the decoration. Was it placed by a muggle or placed to keep muggles away??
TFTC!
