We ended up looping around to this cache, walking through lantana patches, and we then spent a few minutes searching around before finding the right relevant logs. The container was thus hidden beneath leaf debris, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Sweet-Sour](https://coord.info/PR5XJWJ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. I ventured out via a much-shorter path through the lantana, but took the track back to our car.----------Today, I joined [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z), and we headed north to the Sunshine Coast to Pomona and Mt Boulder.Following coffee in Pomona, we tackled [Serenity On The Mountain](http://coord.info/GC143MH) on the side of Mt Cooroora, and then picked up a few of the oldie geocaches within the area. We then headed north-west to Mothar Mountain Rock Pools in Woondum National Park, and after hiking to Mt Boulder summit, we headed along Boulder Creek tackling a couple of legendary caches [The Chief](http://coord.info/GC17W43) and [Pocohanis](http://coord.info/GC17W46). The weather was ideal and terrific, and company was terrific, thus making it a spectacular final day in winter!

Found with Davidwazza after a couple of small walks near by. This one took a little to track down. Wazza put a couple of photos in previous logs to good use.All good here with your cache.TFTC

We are caching today, finding some of Sweet-Sours caches, 40kms north ish from home. This was a lantana fest to get to. I entered from road near sign and then lantana only last 10m or so. Cache ok, log dry but has been wet and can be replaced. TFTC

Sweet-Sour I found your cache To Tandur on 1/8/2023, 9:00 am. This is my find 5923 and find # 1 today. Don’t think this is a good place for a cache. Terrain rating should be higher. Arrived near GZ and searched for an easy way in. I walked up the driveway at number 445 till I got as close as I could get then it was pick your way through the lantana. Bring a machete with you. At least at GZ with the help of the hint you can see the container. Got to it, signed it and returned it. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Thanks to the latest monthly challenge in Brisbane, September is all about caches near to camping… For me it means road-trips, plural, to try and collect as many as possible…

Patrol14 and I have a list, well I have a list, Patrol14 is just along for the ride, as she’s already got 327 of the required 25 caches for this challenge…

This cache wasn’t on the list, but after caching through Gunalda, north of Tiaro and finally Maryborough, time is getting away from us… Patrol14 suggested this as our last cache of the day…

All day we’ve avoided Lantana… this cache made up for it… tftc…

10-Aug-22
Bit of bushwacking. Log is damp.

16-Jul-22
On my way to an event catch up I passed by this one as I was running a little early. Seems the council or someone is using the area as a dirt dumping area. I walked over and then into the bush in search of this one. I had to cut my way through the lantana that is present but finally found the cache sitting on a log in the open. This is also when I saw a nice little driveway next to the cache, doh.

I signed the log and replaced the cache as found and with a little camo on top. I then took the nice road back to the car and headed off to the event. Thanks for placing this one here.

It's interesting reading logs for caches.
I would never have known this co had organised a new years eve event in 2015/6 in this very town.
How very random.
A nice quick find of the typical cache here at gz then we slowly pedalled on.
Thanks sweet-sour for encouraging my back road use discovering geocaches.

Cache 4 on day 4 of my 7 day bicycle tour. Thank goodness some recent cache hunters had flattened the grass and bashed down the lantana or I wouldn’t have bothered. But once at GZ it’s all good. Now ... do I continue on the Traveston Road or take the scenic route? I have time. Let’s see what the geocaches are like each way Wink . TFTC

Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour.

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.

I was caching with Snickersallan, Patrol14, hatzofff, E Smiley, grannysmith1947, and TMZ 59, giving rise to the team name of SPREGTH. Although not fully operative yet, I was able to tag along to most of the caches we found. Some Events brought us into this area.

Beautiful countryside after all the rains.

Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 1st 2021. TFTC, Sweet-Sour.

I detoured off the highway to venture along some back roads and this was the next in line. I parked nearby and ventured over towards GZ and after trying a few different approaches made the find.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Sadly this area is a bit of a dumping ground, and due to a knee injury I couldn’t battle the lantana to climb through to grab it.

Got into a bit of a battle with the lantana, but eventually found it

15-Aug-19
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

15-Aug-19
The container lid is broken and something has been inside, having eaten the bag open that keeps the log dry. Needs replacing but I didn’t have supplies with me today.

15-Aug-19
Called in on this cache after a note from AtTheLakeHouse today. Yep there was a problem, not onlt had the locals chewed a hole in the lid, they had also chewed several holes in the container. Answer; Replace the whole container, the log book was still good with a new raincoat.
Not happy with the co-ords as well, 6/7m out.
All good now Big Grin

We avoided the dirt piles and lantana by following the road line and into the bush where it was a clear path to the fence line. Then we followed that to GZ. Once in the area it was a quick find and sign. The container is damaged although the log is currently fine.

10-Aug-19
Getting late but thought we'd just have a look for this one on the way home as we headed towards the highway after a late lunch in Cooran. We skirted the dirt piles, got close to gz, though we figured out the clue but just could not find it. Scoured the hint object we found but now reading other logs, I think we needed to get further into the lantana where there may be another one hiding the cache.... Until next time...

30-Jul-19
After a few days on Lady Elliot Island we are now back on the road. Our next stop is Noosa and on the way we passed this cache.

Many thanks for this cache and best regards from Germany,

Storigirls and I were out and about on another caching adventure. This cache was next on the list. I parked the geomobile and we made our way to GZ. A bit of a hunt before the cache was spotted through the lantana. Log signed and cache returned to its spot, we were on our way again. TFTC

01-Dec-18
This was the next cache as Selva Girls and I drove along our selected route today. This one took a bit of a hunt, but eventually I looked from the right angle and spotted it through the overgrown lantana. A tott helped with retrieval and return. Tftc Sweet-Sour Big Grin

Today's drive took us from Glastonbury Creek to Cooroy, where we planned to spend the night before hitting the Redcliffe Peninsula. After gingerly walking through some very long grass to avoid the mud on the track, we found GZ. Did not take long for Mr D to find a typical SS hide. WE replaced the plastic bag, but the lead has been nibbled on by some honey loving critters. Thanks SS

I don't remember the planet Tandur appearing in the Star Wars movies [:o)]
I headed there anyway today Smile

And somewhere at the junction of 'Road' and 'Unsealed Road',
I battled the dense undergrowth of planet Tandur to reach the elusive cache.
Onwards to planet Cooran for more cache fun Smile

PS: Bring a light sabre or at least a machete to this cache Wink

Nearly missed this cache at first, I searched the wrong hint object first and thought "darn it, it's gone". Then I saw another of the same type of hint object, and there it was. Some creature has chewed a big hole in the lid, but fortunately the log book is OK. Thanks for placing a cache here.

Out today in the Gympie area with CDAH55, grabbing a few selected caches. Arriving in the area early before meeting for our walk, I took the opportunity to grab a few along the way.

As I was heading to GZ I heard chainsaws off in the distance, but thought nothing of it until hearing an almighty thump and crash of a tree falling. Quick find here, all in good shape.

This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #2619. Thanks **Sweet-Sour** for showing us this spot. Discover our code TGQNRV, and mention where you saw it.

We had decided to grab the caches along the Traveston circuit today and this cache was the fourth on the list.

After heading down Traveston road we found an excellent car parking spot which we pulled into and made the short walk to GZ. It was not too long before the cache was in hand. The cache container had one thong in it and I wondered if Linden/6 may have lost his there.

The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache returned exactly as found.

All is good with this cache.

Find #371.

Hmmm... This cache had us on a little bit of a wild goose chase when we first attempted it in the morning. We looked here, there and everywhere but came up empty handed every time!!!!

Then we returned with the evert group this afternoon, only to find out that somehow the co-ords that we all had this morning, were wrong and had us a good 15mtrs more out!

mtill17 offered to be the gentleman and went into the rough to retrieve the cache for all of us to sign.

This cache was part of today's geoadventure that revolved around the event, the '2016 Cachup for Newbies' - http://coord.info/GC5Y750 which was held up north at Traveston. It was a great little event that got me out to the bush, an area that I love to cache the most.

An awesome day it was, spent with many Geocachers that I have not had the chance to meet until today and also many familiar faces. It was fun swapping stories, sharing knowledge and hunting a few geocaches. The day also included a great mix of D's and T's whilst all being done in great company.

Thanks for the geocache Sweet-Sour.

02-Jan-16
This geocache as found in conjunction with the nearby event, '2016 Catch up for the Newbies', and what a day it was, multiple unplanned T5s! and numerous caches found in good company of new and old caching friends. Today MinkosDes and I teamed up for a fun day under the sun, doing what we do best, GEOCACHING!

After finding the Depplers Farm cache we returned to the event grounds to pick up ZoolandR and Half of Team Benders ended up jumping in the car as well. With the fantastic four in the car we headed to Old Traveston Rd and worked our way back into town.

THis was skipped at first and then we returned later on with the information about he coords being out. I was the one who volunteered to climb through the prickels to get the cache.

TFTC Sweet-Sour, apologies for the genericish logs you are about to receive.

I was attending the 2016 Catchup for Newbies event at Traveston. Brother Colin and I teamed up for 5 hours of caching fun. We waited at the Soldiers Memorial Hall till all the new caches had been handed out by Keith, Sweet-Sour, and the newbies had sufficient lead time to get their FTF's on the nine. If my memory serves me right I think this one took us a little time to search for and find. But find it we did. Replaced where found it where we thought was the most logical place close to the given co ords we were working to. TFTC Sweet-Sour.
