No response for a call to maintain and now a string of DNFs for several months. And the owner hasn't signed in since April. Maybe it's time for this one to be archived.

No luck today the extensive rain we have had has left the back of that park less than desirable for a geocache hide - admin, is is still there??

Visiting the area today and stopped to grab a few caches in the area. The area was nice and quiet and after parking nearby it was a short stroll to GZ where the cache was soon in hand.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Took a while to find the park even before I started looking for the cache. The GPS wanted me to be about 10m away from the cache so I needed the hint. TFTC cambam001

See my log 'Found It' log [here](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=d8368924-5d69-4be6-a15b-b2b01d85f096)

Basically the container is not waterproof and hardly appropriate. Inside is wet and the logbook is a mess.

Captain Terror and I had been invited to a Housewarming Party in this area so we decided to grab a few geocaches as we had arrived earlier than expected. This was our third and last geocache for today. We pulled up in the Subaru and headed over to find the container. The coordinates were slightly out but Captain Terror soon found quite a wet container. We signed our names and replaced as found before heading off to enjoy the playground. TFTC

Here's a prime example of why it is suggested to find a bunch (like.. at least 100, it's not that hard) of geocaches *before* you hide one. Gives an idea of what works with geocache placement and arguably, more importantly, what doesn't work. Here we see an ex-food tin hidden under a pile of rocks does not work at all. A bent food container half full of water with a soggy wad of paper for a logbook is not something to be proud of finding, let alone owning. As has been suggested in logs since July, might be worth paying this one a visit to either fix and improve or remove.

The nearby park was a bonus - Net88 and I played there for a short while killing time as we were early for our evening and stretching the legs after the drive up was nice. Thanks for this geocache, cambam001, I am sure it was placed with good intentions.

09-Oct-16

Took me a while to get to the right area- but the cache was an easy find. Thanks

13-Sep-16

I was up around this area today and thought that I would stop in for a quick visit for afternoon tea. It was very quiet around the area today and there was not a Muggle in sight. I soon quickly found a carpark close by and started heading off towards ground zero.

I was also glad to see that the park was Muggle free and that I would have the entire area to myself for hunting. I soon found myself within meters of ground zero and there was one place that was calling out to me. I ventured to it and with closer inspection, I was glad to see that there was a cache waiting there for me.

I grabbed out the cache and had a quick look over it. It was quite damp and the reason for this was that a pen that was in the cache was too long and was not allowing the cache to seal as good as it could and allowing in moisture. I removed the pen, dried out the cache as best I could, signed the still slightly damp log and then placed everything home with the exception of the pen, I have placed that under a rock to the right of the cache.

Thanks for the cache cambam001. Good hide but it could do with a little TLC.

Found the cache and an interesting spider web that had caught some caterpillars too! Had a play on the empty playground before heading back to geomobile. Tftc!

Started heading off towards the storm water drain first - that playground is well hidden, didn't see it at first from the road. Backtracked and got to a better spot.
All quiet here too - off into the bushy bit and quickly spotted the hide. Very descriptive hint!
All safe here - reprieve from the sun's heat for a bit under the trees.

This was the next one to find.
Arrived near GZ and wandered in.
I headed straight for the cache and geopartner had a rest while checking out the playground.
Much more interesting than what we had when we were kids.
Soon at GZ and found the cache.
Signed the log and returned to hide.

Last cache on the Peregian list for today.

I could see the cache from about 20 metres away. Once we scrambled through the trees our names were in the log!

I had received notifications that there were some new caches released in the Peregian Springs area. At the time of notification it was pouring rain so I decided that I will let someone else earn the FTF's. I am glad it was Coolumroo. He is much tougher than me.

After parking the motor vehicle in a suitable spot, I headed over to GZ and after a short time the cache was in hand.

There was moisture in the container and the log was damp. After signing the log, I put it in a spare Zip Lock bag that I had hoping to prevent further moisture damage. I do not think that this type of container keeps the moisture out when it is in the elements.

The cache was replaced as found. A few more elements were added to hide it better.

Find #301.

Kiki97 and I just got the other two FTF near by so we headed for this one for our last one before I have to head for work ( maybe just a couple of minutes late). This cache was a nice quick find thanks to the hint. But once again the log sheet is already starting to get a little wet. Unfortunately I didn't have another spare zip lock bag on me.
