There's not much of a story behind this find. It's Saturday afternoon on a long weekend. I did some work and chores in the morning, then set out to start on this series. All but one cache were found and in good order. By the time I turned around at CFT30 to head back home, the crimson of sunset had fallen from the clouds and landed as scarlet on the mountaintops. The temperature had dropped four degrees. Such a beautiful evening to be out for a drive. Thanks for the cache, StrangeTrousers!
I had this cache on notice.Thought I may have piucked up a lot of love.Sadly I wasx pipped by a day.Thought this may happen with a mega going on.i signed and moved on.TFTC
Reperio 13:48Day 2 of our Capital GeoBash mega caching trip, and Miss Vitruvius and I continued on doing some of the longer series and power trails just outside of Canberra. We moved from Goulburn this morning through Tarago, Bungendore, and then onto Captains Flat where we camped for the night. Cache found without any issues.Gratias StrangeTrousersAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
In Queanbeyan for some repairs. With a rental in hand I had some time to collect caches this side of the ACT. I drive around to collect some of the roadside caches with the occasional short walk.
This cache: had a good search in the one and only with no success
Thank you StrangeTrousers for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Catching up on some very late logs.
Day 3 of our planned assault on Canberra with the same group consisting of The Drovers, Phetlern, Micaparamedic,
Alansee GoodLook, and ourselves.
We had another busy but very enjoyable day chasing series caches and happily we found all we were looking for with no DNF's
We all had a fantastic day and would like to write more but as we have said when you do so many in such a short time it is hard to remember individual hides.
This in no means takes away from our appreciation to the CO's for all the effort, time and expense they have done to let us find so many caches.
As per the other two days we signed as "The Mob" to save room in the log books.
Many thanks /// for the hides and the fun.
We stamped the logs as "The Mob" to save space in the logs - today there were 6 teams caching together: Team Crackers, The Drovers, Phetlern, Alansee, the lovely micaparamedic and myself.
Most of the cache finds were straight forward, yet a couple stumped us. A few were located where it was difficult to safely pull the car off of the road, but we made it work with some creative maneuvers.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip that was planned at the Clear Waters mega was able to occur.
Adelaide, Victoria, NSW and Canberra - a decent drive, filled with various caching activities including Adventure Labs.
Several days caching with the awesome Team Crackers, gorgeous The Drovers, fab Phetlern, cool Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.
We laughed, sang to a vast variety of songs and chatted - almost non-stop! [^] We piled into cars and had such a fun time. Despite the light showers, windy conditions at times, we also had sunny days to enjoy caching in.
A sincere thanks to StrangeTrousers for placing these caches, including the enjoyable little series.

The third day of caching logging as THE MOB. Once more we appreciated the CO's efforts in putting them out. The weather on all 3 days has been great for caching.
Wow - we so lucky to be able to explore so many different areas of the Aussie landscape following our passion for the geo game, particularly in the company of Alansee, Good Look, Micaparamedic, Team Crackers and The Drovers. (For economy of space logs of caches we found are stamped "The Mob"
Another fabulous day of fun and friendship.
Thanks StrangeTrousers for placing so many caches on the gameboard, which players enjoy finding.

Caching as 'The Mob' - 6 teams made up of Team Crackers, Phetlern, Micaparamedic,
Alansee GoodLook, and ourselves.
Day 3 - Concentrating on trails, and a few nearby caches.
A few caches were replaced, and some logs replaced due to being wet.
Thanks to all the CO's for an entertaining day.

Heading out to Bateman's Bay today for the penultimate leg of our roadtrip, we set off in threatening skies and a light drizzle, only to have a cracker of a caching day, managing 44 assorted finds with only a few DNFs.
We grabbed a selection of caches along Captains Flat Rd into Bungendore, basically culled out the 1.5/1.5s (and grabbed a handful of GA movables too). There were a few where parking was just that bit sketchy....
All good! TFTC!

Another early morning cache raid with Bobl27 to get some numbers for the day before heading to work. A long drive from home, but a shorter drive back to work Most caches found easily and in accordance with hints provided. Good to make more inroads into these two series.

Found while collecting caches in the CFT and ALL7 series. This was a straightforward find at GZ. Thanks StrangeTrousers.
TFTC container intact and logbook dry. Coords bouncing around all over the place. Follow the hint!
It’s a leap day so we decided to make the the most of all things caching.. yay!!! Out with GLISS! on the hunt for a cache of every size, a cache of every type and a total of a hundred.. well if we can pull it off. Thanks to all the cache owners who helped make this an awesome day. Thanks for the cache.
Tftc,
Today's 98 finds will place me a little under 800 away from making 10,000 finds at 10 years of Geocaching on the 28th May 2020.
A decision was made to have a go at this and after all that has been achieved this year, there is still 5 months to get there and a few Power trails will help.
The placement of all were good when you do the caches on the side of the road in the direction you are traveling.

Early start for Wazza9 and I to cache before the heat, plenty of smoke to breath in. Found 98 today with 2 DNF's, completed some maintenance along the trails, adding additional log sheets to containers, replacing some containers for the CO. The temperature reached 46 degrees when we stopped caching and had lunch in Bungendore in the air con. bring on the . Most were quick finds, some a few meters away, stamped the log and replaced. A big thanks to the CO for placing these trails & caches.
Accompanies ALL7, great enjoyed trip to Captains Flat for a day and CFT series part run on the way..

Found by Mary and David at 09:21. Wonderful cache notes! We do like learning stuff. Our thanks to StrangeTrousers.
Today three of us - Infoferret, Nosynel and Jude_e, have the goal of finding 180 caches. We started at about 5.45am, finished about 8pm. Thanks for your trail. Sometimes I signed as KCC NZ and other times we signed as kiwi chicks - depended who had the pen! Thanks for the cache.
Found as part of the Kiwichicks in an epic numbers run day. I was in the car with Nosynel and Jude E. When I signed the log it was written s Kiwichicks (Very occasionally KC if space was limited). The other group (Ethness, thedbees & Graciesgpsfun) signed the caches as KCC, Some caches along this route will have both sets in as the cars visited them at different times. However, I am only claiming the ones where I participated in the search.

Thanks StrangeTrousers for placing this geocaches 7352 find for me. We six stayed in Canberra last night. Today is all about numbers. We are setting a challenge to see how many we can find on a day. We started out at 5:47am. 6am was the time we filled the car with juice. We changed the driver 3 times.
The time has finally arrived for a massive Australian road trip with The Kiwi Chicks. We are GraciesGPSfun , thedbees , Ethness, Infoferret , Jude_E and me Nosynel. We might sometimes sign the geocaches as KCs or TKCs.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Out finding caches for the Mystery at the Museum game. A quick find, thanks StrangeTrousers.
A quick find on a typical Canberra winter day. Brrrr! A car honked at me on the way past - perhaps another cacher? #MysteryAtTheMuseum TFTC.
Apologies for the late log. I had a trip to Canberra in the middle of winter to visit my wife who had a six week study placement there. This was my one major day of caching when I headed out to Queanbeyan and then followed the Captains Flat Trail south to follow the CFT series and other assorted caches along the way. A big day with 102 finds in total and my apologies for the generic log. The majority were found without too much trouble. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series StrangeTrousers.
#7193. I have been in Canberra for several days picking up caches before heading to the Mega event near Wollongong tomorrow. Lots of interesting challenge caches in this city was a magnet for a challenge cache junkie. Heading out on the Captains trail today. I need a few bulk finding days on this trip. Planning to have a few hours out here after lunch before I need to drive to Goulburn for my next pit stop. Enjoying the drive out in the countryside. Much rather be caching in the rural areas than along city streets. Back to the main road. Captain Scarlett. That takes me back a long way into the past. I remember watching this series on TV. Stingray, Thunderbirds and UFO were all from the same creators. Quality UK TV well ahead of its time. Quick find here. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding the cache here StrangeTrousers. Greetings from New Zealand. Time to turn the car and make my way north before I get attacked by the Mysterons.
we headed away for the weekend to grab some numbers, We free camped the night before At Captains flat .. We had a great weekend with lots of fun and adventures, Not quite reaching our goal but happy with the result. Most caches found without problem. caching some of the Captain Flat trail today. Thanks to the C O for placing these here. Signed log as T.I.N.S.
After registering for the Mega we decided to do a little Captain's Flat caching, picking up from from the QBN end heading towards Hoskinstown. where we had previously cached from the Bungendore end. Nice morning with Di Morgan. Di event managed to add a little excitement slipping unceremoniously out of the passenger seat onto her bum on the road. It didn't help with Mr Snakepiter parking just off the road and stepping out into a great gutter. Need to get your laughs where you can when you cache, no harm done and Di cached on 'What a Trooper'. Great series of caches so far, all containers looked in good condition with logs dry.

Finally did this trail whilst also assisting StrangeTrousers do a maintenance run before the upcoming geocaching event in Canberra. Felt a little guilty that I had not done this trail especially as ST is one of the people who I have the most of my caching adventure with. What a crap caching buddy!!! Time to put some smiley faces on that trail I have looked at on the map for way to long. It was a cool sunny day and perfect for caching. Loved the changes in the countryside as we made our way along the trail and we enjoyed a lunch break at the Collector pub before finding the last lot of caches. A little detour to visit one of the Churches - love a greave yard and time helping to replace a cache on a bridge. Took a lot of photos of the bridge and railway line nearby. Loved the surprise with the final cache. Thank you ST for all the work you did setting up this trail and especially for the little things that take time like the pictures on the covers of the notebooks. Another great caching day that left me smiling for hours.
