A southern adventure for a wee family Easter school holiday trip. After a few days in Dunedin we were now in Naseby for a couple days. A break in the rain with a wee shred of sunshine so we headed out for a drive and wander in the patchy sunlight whilst it lasted....Thanks.
The cache has a neighbour namely a birds nest with three chicks. All are doing well. Thanks
A bit of a scramble but nothing too strenuous and then it was an easy find. Cheers for the cache earning
Got it, he said. Bit of a scramble to find but there it was. We're in the area with Godzone race.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at Ranfurly for a couple of days, exploring in & around the local area … we went for a bit of a ride after lunch and thought it would be rude not to check out these caches on the way … found this with no issues, log completed & cache returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,288 for us.
Decided not to take up the offer of the free love as I was more than happy with the cache. TFTC # 17,181
I had intended to visit this and the other Waipiata caches late yesterday but in the rush to ensure we got a dinner table at the pub I decided caching would have to give way. Out on the road to Waipiata again this afternoon I just couldn't not find this cache. Bit of a scramble in the long grass. TFTC erninz.
Quick find on way back to camp. Placement was crucial given the amount of flooding in the area. TFTC.
Not doing much today as the rain has been never-ending since mid day yesterday. After spending the morning reading in the caravan, a bit of cabin fever set in with one occupant, so we headed out to get a couple of caches. This was our first and not too wet to retrieve. tftc
A nice quick find thanks.
Ms_KR and I decided to have an extended Show Weekend break, and today we headed for Queenstown. A lovely day and plenty of little distractions was had by all!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Not the easiest place to park on this rather busy road, but a fairly quick find once we were under. TFTC

Out and about on an other caching trip to get to 3000 finds before the end of the year. This was an easy park and grab and on to the next one. TFTC
Found on quick trip to Central. Found with Lollipopcat and SpyDude13. Kia ora for the cache.
Thanks for the cache, it has been three years since I have been caching this way. Bitsprayer
Heading to Clyde via the Pigroot so took a detour to Waipiata for a couple of caches and then on to this one. TFTC
Stopped here on a day's caching in the area north of Alexandra. Went to the hint character's home and spotted the cache within seconds. Signed log, TFTC
Found after a dusty diversion via Waipiata after a bit of cache maintenance on the rail trail. Cache all good. TFTC
I'm down in Otago to cycle the Otago Rail Trail over a relaxed 5 day period and took the opportunity to find a few geocaches along the way. Day 4 was from Ranfurly to Hyde. I found this one while out and about in the area with my accommodation host, it was a quick find at GZ. TFTC!
Stocking up on groceries in Ranfurly, followed by a tiki tour of a few boxes on the Maniototo. There's an information sign just up the road from the Naseby junction marking the site of the Eweburn township - when the railway came through everyone moved to Ranfurly.
Found on 8/10/2016.
School hols so a bit more time to drop in and grab some caches...

Is this another name for a mutton chop BBQ? If the chop did burn there was enough water in the burn under the bridge to put it out.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
There was some water in the burn today but it was stagnant and smelly.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Out driving around today finding a few caches. Getting late so need to get back to cook tea. They will be wondering where I have got to.
I stopped to find it on my way home from Ranfurly muttering ruefully that I'd driven past it several times BEFORE someone got FTF because I had *assumed that someone would have got there within hours.
Ah well. Many lessons learned this week

Heading to Naseby for the day so had a quick check for any new caches in the area and was pleasantly surprised to see this. FTF. Eweburn virtually dry. Just a bit of mud really and that will soon dry out. TFTC.
