The dead tree has fallen and no longer suitable for a hide so this cache is being retired. StA
Quick find after my attempt at climbing the tree at the earlier cache. Finger are still full of gum from the gum tree. Thought I would come grab some smilies on a wet day in creswick.
I must come back with my usual vehicle as the motor home doesn't really like going along these tracks.

Out on the push bike to get some exercise and also find a few caches. It was pretty warm today, so I was rather wary of snakes, but happily none were to be seen.
I've not been along this line before. It's a great little ride, but it's a pitty that it no longer goes through to Allenford.
All the caches had reasonable co-ordinates and were in good condition. And happily most didn't take long to find either.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Wow... 2 December! When did that happen? After finishing off the Christmas caches it was back to complete the rail trail which was partly completed last visit and a few other caches before heading home.
Accidentally walked past this one so had to double back to go and collect it. A quick find.
Thanks Saint.Anthony for the cache.

We accidentally missed this one and had to come back, it was another quick grab and away we go
Our first week away after lockdown number 2. Combining caching with gold detecting and enjoying the bush. Staying in creswick for 2 days helping the regional towns out as we travel along. TFTC
Lovely stroll out with the kids and puppy on the public holiday! Thanks for the find!
TFTC. Heading to the events in Creswick today from Maryborough. WE have often eyed off this little track on our travel through the area. We detoured along this short section to attempt some of the Trees series. This was a park and grab before continuing.
We were out and about in the Ballarat area today caching on our last day before we head back home to Tassie. We've really enjoyed our caching experiences and we were glad to be able to fill in another area on the map. TFTC
Out and about today, this was a targetted cache and was found. Still took me a few minutes though and I can see why some people miss it.
Found it laying on the ground in the open. SL at 9.59am and tucked it away from prying eyes again. #6426 TFTC Saint.Anthony
Found this one after a little searching. GZ was bouncing around for us on our apps so we grabbed the GPS and narrowed down the search, with cache soon in hand. TFTC, TNLNSL, CIGC
We had a good search around but no luck at all here today.
This was our only DNF for the day, the cache is brobably there but we did not find it.
Thanks

Out for the day caching barnes86 having a wonderful time. Hoping to cover some ground today and up our numbers. TFTC
A lump of decaying deadwood,
usually has a host of bugs, reptiles and the occasional geocache hidden within
I found this cache without disturbing the buglife that I know was lurking beneath

Nice hide, surprisingly found straight away. With the heat and snake threat, it could have taken a lot longer. TFTC
Geocaching day with our awesome geocaching friends, 2 adults and 9 children, with our family on a quest to reach 200. We got started early in the hope that we could beat the intense heat, but there wasn't much chance of that. Nice, quick pick up. Thanks for the cache.
A group effort today working our way along the creswick to bloomfeild rail reserve, with AlbertMedows and his family and one of the WildFam and one bewildered muggle, all up about 11 of us all scrabbling around looking for caches on a very hot day. we walked half the track and noticed how good the track is and thought let’s drive it, Parked the kids under a tree and headed back for the cars.
Thanks for the cache this one challenged us

It was a really pleasant and relaxed drive along this trail late in the afternoon on a sunny day. Lots of rabbits and kangaroos out and about as well. Thanks for these caches and an enjoyable afternoon.
Another nice quick find here this being number 20 now
its time to head home via Maryborough.
Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment. TFTC

The hint had me searching on the ground for a while. In the end I didn't even had to bend down to retrieve this one. TFTC!
Today we head to Melbourne. I was up early again before we left, and made one last foray out this way to see how many more caches I could find. I’m getting to know the road between Creswick and Daylesford pretty well by now. A pleasant stroll and a QEF at GZ. Cheers and TFTC
Found this one did not like this trail though. Very poor information which makes it hard to know where to start.
See when I'm geocaching with my family, the fun wears out pretty quickly ….. but with pretty dedicated geocaching company, it is always with great delight when the cache is found. Especially in an area that I haven't cached in, it's hard to know exactly where it was. The fun thing was watching the other 2 dictate into there devices which converted it into caching notes. Me pen, paper and the hope that I remember it all when I have the time to log. It looks like this track will proved a few different possibilities which was really fun. Wondering what was coming up next.

Out today on a road trip with Mrs Papi4506 & 4B Ninjas.
This was much easier to find.

Find #1833 for me. Found at 3:20 pm on another regular trip to Ballarat from Bendigo. After leaving the kids with Mum in Ballarat I drove back to Creswick to hopefully complete the CBRR series and make a start on the Trees of Creswick one. After parking back at Barbys Road I made the short walk to GZ and made a quick find here. I'm happy to report that all is good at GZ with a nice, dry log-sheet. Thanks for the cache and the series Saint.Anthony!
Finally with a day just for myself while i was home with 2 weeks long service leave , i took the geodog and myself out for some cache hunting around the Creswick area.
Time to have a crack at the caches along this rail trail. Spotted this one straight away as i think the cover may have slipped a bit. Tftc.

The hint proved to be of no value but we always seem to look here, there and everywhere so the cache was found ok. Plenty of dead wood in the area. Thanks for the informative notes.

Off to Creswick and districts with 08151605 to get some smilies. Certainly is dead wood. Not sure about the clue but found anyway. Thanks Saint.Anthony
#14101. Day 3 touring the area around Creswick with Robmc. Back through Miners Rest to Creswick and a visit to the CBRR series and the CDLGM series and then off to Mt Beckworth to finish the day. Ballarat weather was kind to us today, no gale force winds and plenty of sunshine - very nice.
We by-passed the climing tree cache and came directly here. The clue was misleading here and there has certainly been a lot of scuffing and rummaging around on the slopes behind the tree. Fortunately, once Rob arrived here he found it pretty quickly. Thought we were going to have a DNF here.
Thanks Saint.Anthony

The third day in Ballarat and surrounds with BettyBoo3747.
Today we went to Creswick and tackled the CBRR and CDLGM series and any others we passed. We then travelled across to Mt Beckworth for a few challenges.
It certainly was dead! I arrived after BB to find it straight away (much to BB's relief!)
Thanks, Robmc.

As kenare was on one side of Gz, I was on the other. The cache was found quickly. Cigc. Tftc
With dty73 we headed out of town to check out the caches. This one seemed like a good bet for a fairly quick find. Still took us longer than expected. Kutgw
Out with Youban for a morning cache run. After looking at the last Trees of Creswick and deciding not to climb up we came to this one. This one we found not as “down” as we thought. Thankfully Youban soon found this quite quickly. Tftc!!!
We could have been cooped up, keeping warm but instead we thought we would head over to Creswick and see if we could put a dent in all those caches filling the map. So the sisters got to work on solving the Christmas tree and this was the primary goal for the day along with a couple of other puzzles we had solved previously.
Time to head from home and see if we can collect a few more along the reserve. Spotted straight away - always a nice feeling when its a micro in the bush. The log is pretty full and will need a change soon.
Very cold, sometimes we had wet feet but all good fun - thanks Saint.Anthony

Headed out to Creswick today with the Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants for another geocaching adventure. Heading back out of town after a late lunch, we had a second attempt at this one, not sure how we missed this one last time. TFTC
Found while on a geocaching day with the Sisterhood. We wanted to try and get some more of Creswick crossed off the list. TNLNSL TFTC Saint.Anthony.

After enjoying our last visit to the area, we decide to head back again this morning. Last time we were here, it was hot and sticky. Today the sun was shining and a lovely cool breeze was blowing. Once again we had a ball, touring this beautiful town and surrounds. Thanks to all the hard work from the CO's. Ahhh Deadwood, what a great show... TFTC Saint.Anthony
Found by Mary & David at 1600. Enjoyed the walk to GZ. Wonderful cache notes, which earn a FP. To quote the poet Joyce Kilmer, "I think that I shall never see. A poem lovely as a tree". Took quite a while to locate this very well hidden and camouflaged cache. Our thanks to Saint.Anthony.
After we circled GZ we soon had the log signed and the cache returned to its hiding place. TFTC

I planned a trip up through this area with a day off work and while the geo family were busy with other things. I wanted to check out some of the gold mining back roads around Creswick. I was ready to go with the geo vehicle packed with plenty of snacks and water for what was going to be a hot day out. With a DNF on the last, I was keen to change the next to a smile and was worried that it would be two unhappy faces in a row. i was searching in the right spot, just a little more tucked away than i first thought and when I moved around, I spotted it. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache Saint Anthony**
**Cache container and log in fine condition**
**Took nothing, Left nothing**
