I love this one so “face up to it!”.

24-Jan-21
Out on the push bike to get some exercise and also find a few caches. Big Grin It was pretty warm today, so I was rather wary of snakes, but happily none were to be seen.
I've not been along this line before. It's a great little ride, but it's a pitty that it no longer goes through to Allenford.
All the caches had reasonable co-ordinates and were in good condition. And happily most didn't take long to find either.

Thanks for bringing me here.

19-Dec-20
Well I’ve never driven along a rail trail before, and if someone came the other way it would be a fun challenge to pass. Thanks for bringing us here!

02-Dec-20
Wow... 2 December! When did that happen? After finishing off the Christmas caches it was back to complete the rail trail which was partly completed last visit and a few other caches before heading home.

Geosenses took me straight to this one.

Thanks Saint.Anthony for the cache.

Very fickle indeed

11-Sep-19
Back after this one was replaced, I thought that I was going to have another DNF, but the hide revealed itself to me.

31-Aug-19
True to it's name this one's fate has been fickle. It has been moved? Replaced cache at the fickle finger to bring a halt to the DNFs. New hint added.

25-Aug-19
DNF for me too, despite a thorough search.

04-Aug-19
Continuing our adventures around Creswick and beyond, before making our way home to Wangaratta. What fun - a set of caches in a railway reserve. Off we go - oh no, every now and then we trip up and luck out. We searched for quite a while trying to locate this fickle finger but the fates were not on our side today. On we go...

28-Jul-19
Found previous cacher’s pen but not the cache itself!

20-Jul-19
Left our pen at the one Took us a while but we got there

Visiting get daughter from Qld. This is the first days since I arrived that there hasn’t been any rain. It’s nice to get out and find a few caches. Thanks for the hide.

08-Jun-19
We circled round and round and round this one, missing what was obviously staring us in the face. I like the way you attached this one. Thanks for placing Saint Anthony. Caching today with geomum Beckster22.

Newstead Day 3
Todays trip was around the mining area as far south as Creswick. We came accross some amazing caches & locations, a really enjoyable day.
The weather started quite bad, rain jackets & beanies to keep warm. The unsealed roads were good to drive on as we kriss cossed the country side. Learnin a little about the area as we went.
We were able to drive our car along this trail today.
Thanks for placing this cache Saint.Anthony

where it stretched out for a cache Big Grin

22-Jan-19
Geocaching day with our awesome geocaching friends, 2 adults and 9 children, with our family on a quest to reach 200. We got started early in the hope that we could beat the intense heat, but there wasn't much chance of that. After a bit of fiddling about on the slope, the Meadows Geohog spotted it from higher up. Thanks for the cache.

22-Jan-19
A group effort today working our way along the creswick to bloomfeild rail reserve, with AlbertMedows and his family and one of the WildFam and one bewildered muggle, all up about 11 of us all scrabbling around looking for caches on a very hot day. we walked half the track and noticed how good the track is and thought let’s drive it, Park the kids under a tree and headed back for the cars.

Really cool hide we went round and round in circles before finally one of the group got the angle right to locate it, Thanks for another one

09-Jan-19
Definitely lost or blown away. Replaced cache with new container and replacement log. Bring a pen.

23-Dec-18
A DNF for us - maybe out of reach??

19-Aug-18
This took longer than it should have. We searched and searched and searched some more. Eventually the sopping wet little blighter was located. Unfortunately we didn't have the appropriate swag with us but this will probably need a new log. It was so wet we had to peel it open and sit it on our screens to be able to stamp. A pen would have torn it to pieces. Thanks for the cache.

19-Aug-18
With the title of this cache we were searching with our fingers. Then in a joint effort, I was hugged the right tree, whilst OHC spotted it from the higher ground and Mrs Papi was able to do the final reach. Although the logbook was wet, we were able to ink our names in.

Out today on a road trip with Mrs Papi4506 & 4B Ninjas.
Logbook is quite damp. I spotted it and Kez reached up to grab it.

Find #1831 for me. Found at 2:20 pm after leaving the kids with Mum in Ballarat. Well, rain was forecast and it was pretty cold and a little windy, but I was lucky with the weather as the sun shone down on me while I walked the 900m to the cache after parking the car back at Barbys Road. Once at GZ the cache title led me to the right place then I read the hint. Ah, yes, I could even just see it from the path! Unfortunately the log sheet was soaking wet and couldn't be signed. I did, however, have a spare log-sheet on me which I signed and placed in a small zip-lock bag for extra protection. I left the old log in the container for the CO to either collect or discard. Thanks for the cache and the series Saint.Anthony!

03-Aug-18
Finally with a day just for myself while i was home with 2 weeks long service leave , i took the geodog and myself out for some cache hunting around the Creswick area.
The satellites weren't being nice here for me but with a bit of intuition and with the cache name leading towards the hide i managed to find this one. Unfortunately the logbook was soaking wet and i was only just able to be make some sort of mark in it. Photos taken for proof of find if required. Thx St. A

The third day in Ballarat and surrounds with BettyBoo3747.
Today we went to Creswick and tackled the CBRR and CDLGM series and any others we passed. We then travelled across to Mt Beckworth for a few challenges.
We had fun on the rail corridor doing the CBRR caches. Good to see so much maintenance done and all caches in good condition.
We guessed this one on approach - just a short reach.
Thanks, Robmc.

26-Feb-18
#14104. Day 3 touring the area around Creswick with Robmc. Back through Miners Rest to Creswick and a visit to the CBRR series and the CDLGM series and then off to Mt Beckworth to finish the day. Ballarat weather was kind to us today, no gale force winds and plenty of sunshine - very nice.

We spied the finger and soon had the cache to hand. I am surprised that you have had to replace so many caches along this quiet trail recently.

Thanks Saint.Anthony

Great cache and VERY well hidden!! TFTC.

29-Aug-17
We could have been cooped up, keeping warm but instead we thought we would head over to Creswick and see if we could put a dent in all those caches filling the map. So the sisters got to work on solving the Christmas tree and this was the primary goal for the day along with a couple of other puzzles we had solved previously.

Bit hard to be discrete here with all the animals yelling out at our presence.
Very cold, sometimes we had wet feet but all good fun - thanks Saint.Anthony

28-Aug-17
We continued our way along the trail, to the tune of barking dogs and bleating lambs. TFTC

28-Aug-17
Found while on a geocaching day with the Sisterhood. We wanted to try and get some more of Creswick crossed off the list. TNLNSL TFTC Saint.Anthony.

After enjoying our last visit to the area, we decide to head back again this morning. Last time we were here, it was hot and sticky. Today the sun was shining and a lovely cool breeze was blowing. Once again we had a ball, touring this beautiful town and surrounds. Thanks to all the hard work from the CO's. TFTC Saint.Anthony Big Grin

Visiting Creswick again for some Fishin and Caching. Our last time here was Nov 2016 and during that two weeks learned heaps and scored some 70+ caches to add to our tally. We thought we had cleaned out most of the Creswick caches. Not so. On returning home we became Premium Members and succeeded in exposing about another 80+ in this lovely area. Yehaaa.

This visit to Creswick was for a relatively short period. (3 days) Lots more still to collect from this wonderfully historic town. Thanks Creswick, and thanks also to the CO's and their hard work.

Hoping you will forgive the generic logs.

Thanks for the cache Saint.Anthony and all your maintenance.

Took Nothing and left Nothing (TNLN)

**Smile # *4727* / Traditional # *3573***

I planned a trip up through this area with a day off work and while the geo family were busy with other things. I wanted to check out some of the gold mining back roads around Creswick. I was ready to go with the geo vehicle packed with plenty of snacks and water for what was going to be a hot day out. I was wondering weather I should take the non geo mobile down here today but thought why not, thankfully the road was kind to to my car. The clue wasn't really a clue again here but I found this one quickly today. Stamped and replaced as found.

**Thanks for placing this trad cache Saint Anthony**
**Cache container and log in fine condition**
**Took nothing, Left nothing**

We started our second day of caching around Creswick, with a bike ride along the Creswick - Broomfield Rail Reserve. A nice quick find here, probably helped by the micro on steroids!

**FEEDBACK TO CO:** This is the biggest 'Micro' we have come across in a long time.

Our thanks to Saint.Anthony for placing this cache.

Container was wet inside so removed the contents-some rusty and another dripping with orange dye. Wiped out the container and put the damp log into a snap lock bag. TFTC

Having had to DNF a few caches earlier in the day we decided to pick up a few extra ones by using the phone, as these had not ben loaded into our GPS. This was a nice quick and easy one. Thank you to Saint Anthony for the opportunity to add some more to the list for the day.
