There is still one TB in the inventory hopefully one day someone will pick it up.
Thanks for attending everyone. Happy Leap Day!
Thanks for attending everyone. Happy Leap Day!
Hey everyone,
Thanks for attending the "What's your reason event?" and I hope you had a enjoyable evening and were able to fulfil all your reasons. There are still two travelbugs/geocoins listed in the inventory of the event. If you have them in your possession, could you please grab them, I would like to archive the event so it doesn't keep popping up on everyone's search page.
Cheers,
Marissa (RIS768)

There is a leap day once every four years so we wanted to celebrate that together with other catchers.
We have visited all up 6 events in Sydney. Meet the swedish, Sydney CBD, Strawberty Hills Forever, leaping over Sydney Barangaroo and of course our own event in Dural.
We have of course also looked for this cache.
Er have finished the day at 8pm with our own event in Dural.
Thank you
Team sissifalke

Leaping lizards and days, found out on 1/3 that our nephew's first son was born on 29/2/16, he says it's a cost cutting measure, his daughters say it's fantastic, his wife is recovering in her cool mumsy way.
Back to Ettamogah -- have often been curious about this place, given that there are several sharing the name, and so far none have collapsed!
Thnank you to energetic organizers.

I enjoyed having a play in the playground, and eating spaghetti bolognaise for dinner.
This was my event so of course I attended. Glad everyone enjoyed themselves, see you in another 4 years! SL #2444 on streak day #1334
What a great event. Congrats ris768 on the successful meeting of the minds, the swapping of TB's and general good time had by all. It was fantastic to meet new people and chat with ones we already knew. Superb effort, TFTE!
Thanks to ris768 for organizing this event. It was very friendly and relaxed, it was good to meet so many fellow cachers. Good venue too with a good selection of drinks and food.
Thanks to ris768 for hosting a great evening, it was good to meet and chat with fellow geocaches in a pleasant surrounding.
Haven't been there for years nor seen some of those faces for that long. Good fun. Thanks for organising ris768.
Thanks Ris for putting on the event for many reasons but the main one in that I can now tick off this calendar day and complete the boxes.
It was also good to see old and new faces.
Cheers

Had a ball of a time, catching up with all my caching friends.
Thank you, so much, for holding the event. I feel I missed talking to the CO, too many great experiences to take in from all your stories.
Even that hint or two on those pesky nemesis hides, but we won't elaborate on that.
Will it be a leap year next year for another catch up? See you all back on the FTF parties or trails, thanks again Ris.

Events are great for people maintaining a streak. With this particular event, not only does it help fill in another date in the calendar, it also fills in a missing date on the dates hidden calendar and we get to claim another souvenir. It was great to see many familiar faces and meet some new people whilst exchanging information and sharing great geocaching stories. TFTE ris768.

Thanks ris768 for holding the event, saw some new faces and very familiar ones, was a good night talking amongst fellow cachers
#2800 (50 of 50 today - am I mad?) (Streak day 287)
So, how to celebrate Leap Day? How do I mark this once in every 4 year opportunity - my first as I started caching in 2013?
I'd considered a few possibilities and decided I'd go for my most ever finds in a day. 50 looks like a nice round number.
I'd not tackled **Morley196's** Windsor Road previously - save for two caches grabbed when I was mining the Rouse Hill Regional Park. In fact I'd left it for such an attempt as this.
Even better, there was an event at both ends of the trail - one in the morning and one at night. Perfect!
So I started out by placing two caches of my own, one of which I submitted for publication (and was published later in the day), and one for which I still need to finalise the listing. Then I headed Windsor way to start my walking marathon - no bike for me!
At the end of the day I had my 50 caches - 48 traditionals and two events - and my fitness tracker assured me I'd walked 32,000 steps.
My only problem was getting back to the car. I ended up almost 8km from *The Hademobile*, and with no sign of buses or taxis, I simply walked back - grabbing a heap of munzees on the way back.
And was right on time for the evening's event. Cache #2800 - not a coincidence!
Apologies in advance for totally cut and paste logs but anything else and I'll go mad! Any specific cache comments will be found under under the C&P heading.
Many thanks to **Morley196** for the trail. Incredible effort. Will add a smattering of faves as thanks.
And thanks also to the organisers and attendees at the events. Nice to meet you all again / for the first time* (delete whichever is not applicable).
So, the result of today was I have my final *Found Date*, my final *Hidden Date* and even finds on my own caches for 29 Feb. HUZZAH!
Please excuse me if I don't do something like this again in 4 years time.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
My 2800 Milestone!
I made it.
Staggered into the pub right on time, looking forward to just sitting for a while.
Already a few people here - both new and already met.
Plenty of talking and discoverable finding ensued as more people arrived. Good turnout.
Thanks to **ris768** for a great night - yeah we need to do another event for the Game Shows. Left with just over 30 minutes to go. The day was catching up to me and I had a bit of a drive to get home.
Top day of caching today with the perfect finish.
Now I can collapse!

Thanks RIS768 for organising this event (and the prizes). It was great to meet so many people who are so passionate about their hobby.
29/2/16. 8:05 PM. Cache #3613. Streak day #617.
6th of 7 finds today - Sydney, Kellyville Ridge & Dural. 5 were Leap Day events!
A long pause between caches #5 and #6 today as I needed to be home between 2:30 and 7:30 for normal home stuff, and while this meant that I was unable to make it to the last two Sydney events of the day, I was able to get two later ones out west. And seeing as this event ran for a long time, I knew I could make it here by around 8PM to raise a glass with good caching mates.
The bonus of coming here was that I was able to catch up with a whole different set of people than I had been seeing around the city, although I had spoken to Mr Purple at the previous one, "Leaping Over Sydney". The event was in full swing and the half an hour or so that I had allowed myself went very quickly. But there was more event-hopping to get up to, with the final one at Maccas, Dural "Leap Day Event 29.02.2016". I said my goodbyes and headed off. TFTE ris!

Catching up with a few cachers from a recent event.
We had a full day but managed to make it to this one for a short while.
Thanks Ris for a great event.

Thanks Ris for a great event.
It was nice to be out on a Monday night, especially when one of the family won one of the prizes. We'll have to try and get along to more events. Thanks for organising, ris768!
got to the event first but went to get a local cache first came back and found CO. Spent a while there before had to get going to catch up with another event. I put down 5 reasons but failed on point 5. It was great catching up with a number of cachers that I had met and some new people I hadn't. Thanks for the event ris768
Final of six leap day events attended today. Arrived a little late having attended the event in Barangaroo earlier in the evening (getting from Barangaroo to Rouse Hill via public transport isn't very quick) but there were still plenty of folks still in attendance. Enjoyed a quick dinner and couple drinks, good to meet a couple of new geocachers and also catch up with a few familiar characters. Thanks for the event ris768!
Will be dropping some TBs, but it was just easier to log them as dropped on the big computer rather than the phone. See you soon.
Looks like I now can briefly pop by this one around 8pm.
My reason? To have a beer with good caching mates! Then ducking out to Dural on the way home. Cheers!

Attended after Crossfit.
Great to see quite a few come past.

Thanks ris768 for organising this event. Was great to meet up with some catchers I have never met before. Thanks again.
After I finished work I headed up this way to drop in for a while before heading to the leapy event at Springwood. An easy find, there was even cider. Chatted with a few people, a lot of unfamiliar faces nere. Thanks for putting it on.
Was good to see some old and also some new faces tonight. Glad I could make it on this unusual date - even if for only a short time.
Thanks for organising RIS768.

Could only come for about 40 minutes, but it was fun all the same. Met a couple of familiar faces, but most were new to me. I need to get to more of these events, this was only my second. It was nice to meet you all, TFTE ris768! And cheers for the TB shares Gatherer Hade!

We'll be there, along with Little Shoes and Shoes Junior. Our reasons for attending are pretty much the same as everyone elses:
* Close to home
* The souvenir

And to have an ale or two of course.
