Start of a big walk for the Canberra group. Nice area and thanks to a great farmer for the help he gave us. Kutgw
A weekend of fun with a group of Canberra cachers. The weather was beautiful, cold and clear with little wind and it was a perfect day to be out walking and exploring and enjoying a winter weekend in Bathurst. We signed the logs as CBI24 ( Canberra-Bathurst Invasion 2024)Thanks for all the adventures and efforts to create some fun hides for the Geocaching community. Domsky
Chooo ooo [Found] on a caching invasion of Bathurst! Log signed CIB24!Thanks Joshwa27!
Bathurst Invasion by a group of Canberran cachers. We are signing as CBI24 (Canberra Bathurst Invasion 24). There are barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, DTY73, Tankengine, Youban, SmittenGranny, Contesta, Gliss! Domsky, and me. We all have been solving the puzzles ove the last few weeks in preparation. Plan for today is mainly Peel Reserve and a few around town. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Tankengine, Youban and I left Canberra just after lunchtime on Friday and drove straight to Bathurst. We had solved many of the puzzles or at least started the solves before coming. We were looking forward to finding many smilies this weekend and hanging out with our friends. We met up with our friends and signed caches as CBI24 (Canberra Bathurst Invasion 2024). The group included Fitzy_1965, Minniek, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, GLISS!, Tankengine, Youban, Contesta, Domsky, TikvaNZ, Isopeada, Barb2e, and SmittenGranny. We had an awesome dinner at the Kelso Hotel Bistro Friday night. And attended the ever changing event on Saturday night at The Reckless Brewery Co. Breakfast was at a couple of cafes that were all good and lunches wherever we could find it. Our little cabin at the NRMA Paramount caravan park, where there was just enough space for all three of us (just). We slept ok, but the leaky taps needed attention. We had an awesome time and would love another chance to visit Bathurst again another day. This cache: Found all in order. Such a nice place. But this is the end of the easy bit. Tftc!!!
#22292 @1010Visiting Bathurst for the weekend from Canberra. A quick find as 13 of us began a 4 hour walk around the reserve. Signed as CBI24. TFTC.
Find # 123726/7/2024 10:29Caching adventures continue, plans were hatched, word got around, and with some trustee like-minded souls we assembled at the cemetery start line - KittyKatch, Joolay, fitzy_65, mimmiek, TikvaNZ, isopeda, dty73, FurfacesLL, domsky, Youvan, Barb2e, Tankengine. Signing CBI24 for Canberra Bathurst Invasion Always shenanigans in a group as you never quite know what might happen but its guaranteed to be fun!All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks Joshwa27 for History of Peel
Interesting history of Peel. Thanks for the cache Joshwa! Log is all safe and dry!!
OCW frazeydaze. After finding a few of the COs caches in Bathurst this morning we headed off to Peel to do a reccy for a future trip to tackle the caches in the Bathurst Jigsaw Series within Peel Common that we've solved. After checking the terrain and entry points for some of the caches the temptation to find a few caches while we were there proved too great. END OF CUT AND PASTEThis cache was a dnf a few years ago. So pleased that we stopped off on our way home. TFTC
Having found some outstanding caches in Bathurst, oldmorty and I headed across to Peel.Wed solved all the COs Bathurst Jigsaw caches located within the Peel Native Flora and Fauna Reserve (Peel Common) and wanted to get the lay of the land as its almost impossible to find any reference to the trails therein.- - - - - - 8. Nice to change a DNF (March 2019) into a smiley. Thanks to Joshwa27 for the cache.
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY SEVEN: Peel and finishing off a few odds and ends in/around Bathurst.Another solved History of puzzle turned into a smiley. A fresh deceased roo made for an interesting aroma as we searched. Thankfully it didnt take too long. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Joshwa27 ~~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 7: Happy New Year everyone! Its our final full day in Bathurst so ticking off lots of unfinished business before we leave for Orange tomorrow. An unusual place this one with no markings whatsoever. We had a strong smell near GZ and it appears it was not only humans here. OzHockeyChick found the cache after a short search. Thanks Joshwa27 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! StreetWalkerNZ climbed through the fence but I wasn't keen. Near GZ he found a hole that was big enough for me to crawl through. He also found the cache. TFTC.
#22644. Last puzzle of our walk through the bush. When we got to the cemetery fence I was hoping to see a gate of some sort, but we didn't see one (maybe we were just in the wrong place). I got Troodles to lift up the strands of barbed wire, and I managed to get under the barbed wire and over the mesh part of the fence. Troodles wasn't keen to try that so we headed to GZ on opposite sides of the fence. Once there we found a hole in the mesh part of the fence, and Troodles was able to crawl through that (with not much room to spare). Cache was found soon after we were reunited. TFTC.
It's the last day in Bathhurst with The Geocaching Adventures group: Brewmaker, Rainbow Spirit, Its D'Ozzie, Team Canary and ziggiau.
Today we set out to complete the caching trails in the Peel Crown lands, before the long drive back home.
We had set up a car shuffle at the cemetery end started from the North. Soon to find out we were climbing up that big hill twice as our path led us in a figure 8 path instead of a loop around the area. Most was along the trails, but some bush bashing was needed.
Anyway, very tired at the end we all finished the day well warn out at a bakery before calling the week caching holiday complete. Thanks for the caches.
Signed group as BRINTZ

The fifth and last day of geocaching with Team Canary, Brewmaker, Noodles21, ziggiau and Rainbow Spirit.
After our recovery day today was the day to tackly Peel Common with many caches in a dense area. It was a lovely 3.5 hour walk along the trails where we picked up many caches, and even managed to find an unpublished cache.
After Peel is was time for lunch and we each went our own way toward the East where I managed to pick up a few more caches.
Logs were signed with the team name BRINTZ. TFTC!

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Bathurst for a 9 day holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback Camper Trailer at the Bathurst NRMA Big4 Caravan Park, and plan to collect some caches & Adventure Labs in the Bathurst and surrounding areas.
Today we went on a cache collecting loop drive up Sofala Road, then along Pymonts Lane, and returning to Bathurst via Limekilns Road & Marsden Lane. Took a slight detour, off Sofala Road, for an interesting visit to Peel Cemetery. Finished the day with a few finds around the Kelso area. This was the 8th of 30 finds for the day (day 4), and 58th find of the holiday.
Another puzzle solved by the family's chief puzzle solver before leaving home, and a quick find at GZ today as it was lying on the ground out in the open. TNLNSL, and then placed it where we think it had fallen from. We then had a nice wander around the place. Thanks Joshwa27 for the puzzle & cache.

Day 3 of Capital Crunchers Invasion of Bathurst. Found after a slow start to the day that was thoroughly worthwhile. Thanks to all COs for adding to our enjoyable weekend . All logs were signed.
Having based ourselves in Bathurst we enjoyed caching around the locality. So green now after the recent rain and we loved the scenery and history at many of the caches. This was one we targetted and found. Nice hide. Thanks to Joshwa27 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Out with RoddyC while in Bathurst house sitting.
Thought we had better cache while here.
Quick easy find although not confident of our final. A challenge to retrieve.

Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
In a roundabout sort of way, today we are going to a fishing spot and back while the weather is perfect.
Have mixed results with many of the History of.... series and this one was no different with many places giving contradicting information. However in the end a result was obtained and today we signed the Roostaman replacement.
Met a Bathurst local on our way in who had been visiting his mother's grave with his two daughters.

A quick morning trip around while at Bathurst for a few days.
Mainly good safe hides and nice quick finds.

Seems as though this place has mainly micros and nanos.

After solving the puzzle and checking it, I figured this was a done deal. Not so, spent too much time poking around the area and nada! That's two DNFs for this cemetery. Too bad, but probably won't be back anytime soon.
No sign of the cache today . I looked where it should have been according to previous finders who were with me (and it was a pretty obvious hiding spot)
Disappointing to DNF after a quick find closer to the car. Saw the usual concealment method but nothing underneath.
#1818 4th of 15 on the day part of a big day that spent with alnic39 out at Bathurst & surrounding area then on the way home for a few caches around Blacktown Marsden Park. Puzzles were solved long ago not long after they were published. Found 4 on this trip

Spent the day outdoors collecting puzzle caches that I had previously solved. Great weather for it as I made my way in and around my new town. A range of interesting puzzles out there to be solved and I'm looking forward to hiding some of my own. The caches I found today were easy enough with the help of my partner. Thanks for the caches

I couldn't find how to access this cache. I drove up and down the road looking for the marked 1.5 star terrain access. Later I looked at a map and saw I needed to park, go over a gate and follow the track for 800 plus metres. This wasn't possible, as I had a handicapped person, with very limited mobility, in the car and I couldn't leave them for that time. The 1.5 star terrain gives no indication of the real terrain needed to be tackled to find this cache. VERY disappointing after working out the history. That is, presuming my final coordinates are correct, but I think I had them checked by the CO. (The checker is not working.)
The Road Less traveled weekend two around Oberon. Day 3. After staying In Oberon the day took me to O'Connell and then back to the TRLT from Tarana to Peel. It was nice to get several of these History caches along TRLT.

Solved this one a while ago and took the opportunity to have a look while in the area! Love this history of series! This for the caches! : )
Found as part of a weekend away with Hoojar. We headed up towards Gulgong the first night and camped near the start/ end of TRLT (@ -5 degrees ). The next day we made it through some nice historic places and great rolling countryside to finish up at Sunny Corner after a feed in Bathurst. The next day a few more finds before we headed home. Plenty of roadkill spotted, not many cars and not too much trouble at each cache. Thanks to all those cache hiders .
The opportunity finally arose that Steeba and I both had a free weekend to go caching. We quickly settled upon the northern half of The Road Less Traveled series. We drove to Gulgong via Mudgee after work on Friday, camping just before midnight at the suggested TSR nearby.
Saturday we made our way via the caching trail, and the odd additional cache, to Bathurst for dinner, then back onto the trail to Sunny Corner where we again camped for the evening.
Sunday we turned our heads for home, via a few additional cache stops in Portland and Wallerawang.
A fantastic weekend away, with excellent country to be seen and company to be had. We enjoyed the caches that we found.
Thank you to all of the cache owners, and sorry for the boiler-plate logs!

With our 1500th cache milestone in sight, we set off on a caching day up into this beautiful region, driving through Palmers Oakey, Dark Corner and Sunny corner. We managed 48 finds for the day, only one DNF. Starting the day at -2 degrees and thick fog, it turned into a ripper of a day, never really getting above 8 degrees, but nice in the sun!
A nice little walk from the car to GZ, we needed it to warm up. Samuel found the cache before I started searching. Great spot for photos this morning..... TFTC

We drove towards NSW bush lands once again where we visited the Dunedoo Bush Poetry Festival. We have solved many interesting mysteries in preparation of our tour which took us to many beautiful historical places.

Australia geocaching event in the area which I think is quite a pity as we as nature loving geocachers should be an example to all the others people.

I love this old cemetery stuck out in the middle of nowhere. It's one of the things I love about caching: I've been to so many little cemeteries now that I never would have known existed. A quick walk through the cemetery turned up an easy find at the end. Thanks

After finding this cache we wandered over to look at some headstones standing by themselves. They turned out to include members of the Suttor family who seem to be connected to much of the local history.
