#8387 - 17:50; I was visiting Euroa with the geohoney to farewell an old friend. After paying our respects, stopped off for a second try at this cache on our way to our friend's house. I don't know how I missed this one earlier in the day as it took all of 30 seconds on the second attempt! TFTC morris1100 Smile

A coffee break here before we find this one and a couple jam donuts.
Then quickly had cache in hand. A good hide.
Signed and replaced.

Found this in a Hidden but pretty spot

Thanks

18-Jul-18
Found cache. As I walk this track often I make sure it's still in place although soon it will need a new home as the structure is in bad condition. TFTC

13-Jul-18
While staying in Murchison on holidays, we decided to do a day trip to Euroa for lunch and some geocaching. There wasn't many people in the park this morning so it allowed the 4 of us to have a decent look around. After nearly giving up, our muggle cousin said ”Is this one of those things?” TFTC!!

08-Jul-18
When I had got into the right spot I would probably have looked at it at least a couple of times before I found it, TFTC Smile

Late night drive to Euroa craving maccas and a spot of caching did not disappoint

02-Jul-18
Found with my Mum, Boeing737, on our trip to Adelaide. TFTC

02-Jul-18
Found it in the light of day. Forget the GPS and look at the placement of the cache on the map and head to that spot. TFTC

01-Jul-18
Sadly another DNF... I can only assume that the coordinates are WAY off, LOL. We searched forever, finally found a “post” suitable to hide a bison but couldn’t find one. Possibly someone super tall put it on the top rung, out of our reach. Might check tomorrow in daylight before we head off but no sign of it tonight. Thanks anyway

24-Jun-18
An easy find it was sitting on top of the post TFTC

26-May-18
Visiting Euroa for parkrun and this is the closest cache to the start line. Quite an easy find as the container was open and the logbook sitting exposed to the elements. Fortunately it was dry so could add my name to the log sheet. Have put everything back together and returned the cache to the place indicated in the hint. CO might need to check location!

08-May-18
Yes this one took us a while. Realising that the coords were going to be off a bit we had a good look around and it was geohubby that saved the day. A fav point from us for the location and find. Tyftc

07-May-18
Good little one, GPS all over the shop, but didn't take long

29-Apr-18
Found after a fair bit of looking. Hint was very useful.

25-Apr-18
As CO mentioned the GPS was bouncing all over the place. It took a while to find even after reading the hint. Eventually by spreading the search area and looking at everything in the area which could remotely resemble the article described in the hint the cleverly concealed cache was found and dealt with. I’m not sure if looking for it in the dark helped or not, but at least there weren’t any Muggles to disturb my search. Great cache at interesting location. TFTC

Heading away for a few days and stopped to grab a few caches. This one had me scratching my head as the GPS was jumping all over the place. The clue gave me lots of options to search but kept coming up empty handed. While it started drizzling and cooling down and I kept coming up empty handed, I resorted to phoning a friend, who was able to point me closer to the find. Happy to evenutally find this sneaky blighter and sign log, with my phone pointing me some 16m from where I eventually found the container.

Thanks morris1100 for placing the cache for us to find.

A bit of searching and bingo. I think the cache is not where the co meant it to be however nice area Tftc

13-Apr-18
Found it within a couple of minutes of searching, but needed the clue as the coords were indeed jumping all over the shop. Thanks for the cache - a nice surprise find after our bathroom break!

On our way to Melbourne had little stroll along the river and found this cache. Thank you.

18-Feb-18
Needed a rest stop after leaving the Buckland Valley this morning where the Night in the Valley Event was held last night.
It was a combination of the clue and Roostamans added coords that enabled me to make the find here inbetween locals walking through the park and some youngsters gathered under the toilet shelter nearby not taking any notice of me. Those coords at least put me at the right part of the cottage as the original gz for me was along the front fence! I still wasn't quite where Roostamans GZ worked out but all good in the end. Thx again morris1100 for making my stop in town worthwhile with some great caches. Hope to get back here and find some more one day. Cheers

Found today after a picnic in the park. With shady trees and green grass, this area is the perfect break for travellers. Thanks morris1100 for sharing this area with us.

I was one that had a DNF on this some time back, but that hint is very good. Thanks morris1100. Would have struggled otherwise.

Found by Mary & David at 1650. Wonder if this history is mentioned in schools these days? Loved the pink Tecoma. Cachers should google her name and read all about her contribution to the wool industry in Victoria. Took a while to find this one. Our indicated GZ was near the Traveller and Comfort Stop. Tried the alternative coordinates from an earlier log, but they were more than 100m away. Mary eventually found it using the hint. Took our own coordinates for future reference, and double-checked them on the map. Our thanks to morris1100.

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but withe some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.

For the first part of the day we cached from Craigieburn to Wangaratta looking for caches which were easy to access as we headed north. For the remainder of the day we cached from Wangaratta to Beechworth. Each time we visit Wangaratta we try to allocate some time to look for caches in the Wangaratta, Myrtleford and Beechworth areas. During our earlier visits we concentrated on the excellent Hoop Star series and we started on some sections of the rail trails as well as individual caches in each of the areas. This trip we were hoping to explore some other sections of the extensive rail trails.

This is a very pleasant area to visit with the community taking obvious pride in the way in which the reserve is being maintained and developed. Eliza Furlong's Cottage certainly has an interesting past and it is very pleasing to see it being kept for future generations. We followed our GPS pointer but that took us to the middle of a small lawn. We then used the hint to look at likely locations and we eventually found the cache at the third spot consistent with the int. At that point our GPS indicated that we were 12m from GZ. The cache and contents were in good condition. After replacing the cache we took a number of sets of readings and the average coordinates for the hide were S36 45.138 E145 34.340. Before leaving we spent some time looking at the Victoria Cross Memorial - a most fitting tribute. Thanks morris1100 for the cache and for bringing us to this most interesting area.

***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 59 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 87.5. Progress is being made but there is still a long way before we achieve our goal.*****

A beautiful day to be out this beautiful area letting my GPS be my guide. What a beautiful part of Australia to explore. Without Geocaching I would never have found so many interesting places in my travels. We really are so fortunate. Cool

A short search, found cache, stamped and returned... Big Grin

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment morris1100. Appreciate your effort. Big Grin

TFTC!
After reading the last few logs we decided to go and grab a tin of mints and some camo tape just in cache.
We arrived at GZ and made the quick find. Log was still nice and dry so we placed it in the new camo tin and returned it to its resting place.
However we forgot to grab some zip lock bag so it may need a looking at.
Cheers!
Found with Shellumbus.

The co-ordinates for this one were not on our side, but the hint made for a swift find. In this area we also found a few hidden painted rocks - tokens of another hide-and-seek game. Smile TFTC

19-Jul-17
Something confusing going on, as some people report finding a log only & no container. However, when owner maintenance undertaken, the original cache is there (small bison tube) in it's usual hiding spot. Only some of the logged finds are written on the log sheet. We couldn't see a stray unprotected log sheet anywhere, but there must be a stray duplicate sheet somehow which people are finding and logging. We will try to look again another day and remove the duplicate.

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
Perhaps it's time for the cache owner to make a visit to this cache as it would appear to be in need of owner intervention. I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Geocache maintenance is a cache owner responsibility and includes regular visits to the cache to ensure it is in proper working order. Your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be greatly appreciated by all geocachers, have a read here: [Cache Maintenance Guidelines.](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance)

The guidelines advise; **if you can't fix it straight away then Disable it till you can.** This Help Centre article tells you how it can be done; [Temporarily Disable and Enable.]( http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 )

**Please respond to this situation within 28 days - so as to prevent the cache from being archived.** Sad

If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and **indicating a date** when you believe you will have the issue resolved. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to date, or the cache will be treated as an abandoned and archived without further notice.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable ](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.
