I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, WingedWombat, requesting additional time.
An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.
Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.
The cache owner needs to:
* Investigate the situation and either restore the cache, or address any other issues, such as correcting the D/T rating if necessary.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.
Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.
Alternatively:
* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.
In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by WingedWombat and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

**This Cache**
*Signed "BCC WALK" (Booroomba Community Celebration Walk) which included:
Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN, 2 Leg Drive, TikvaNZ, Aykayem, injuryman, Turtle284 and Dwarf Exploder*
Not sure about claiming this cache..... it seems to have been replaced without permission, and the theme of the cache and difficulty in accessing the log no longer exists. We walked all the way here for it though, and other people think it is OK to claim, so I will too. Feel free to delete our logs otherwise

**Today**
I have been looking forward to the "Booroomba Walk" Community Celebration event for a long time now! One of the best ideas for a CC event in my opinion, great to bring people out to a beautiful part of Namadgi and organise a group walk! Brought back memories of a Cankid event which was also fantastic!
It was an excellent day too, majority of the walk was sunny and clear, but when we reached the top it turned sour and the wind was horrendous and we even saw some light snow, which was unexpected at this time of year! As we retreated back down the mountain again it cleared up once more with blue skies again...! The weather couldn't make up it's mind!
An excellent day overall with a lovely walk and some great views. So many views that were previously obstructed have now been opened up by the recent fires, as have some of the walks to the caches. The undergrowth is still very low and easy to navigate around!
Thanks to 2LD for organising, and all the cache owners from today's finds!

We accidently left 2 Leg Drive here on our way back to the trail, but at least we stopped once we realised lol. Thanks for the cache
The original cache is gone and the CO is no longer active. This was originally a field puzzle which has since been replaced by a throw down mint tin. Request this cache be archived

Found with 7 others on our return from climbing Booroomba Rocks. This was my third visit to this cache. On the previous 2 visits I was unable to open the lock to sign the log. The replacement cache was easily found. Spent quite a bit of time looking around to see if I could find any sign of the original, but was unsuccessful. TFTC.

On our return trip from the Booroomba Rocks Community Event the group of 8 headed to this cache. Despite our search the original cache could not be found, however we did log the replacement as BCC. TFTC.
Found on our return journey from the rocks during the community celebration event.
Sounds like the original cache was lots of fun. While I was still hunting for the original all the other popped back to the trail and it all went quite. A quick catch up and we were all back together.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with Loci612 and signed dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys or BCC to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure.
I found this one on the way back from King Kong. I'm not sure I really can claim it, as the fire destroyed the infamously inaccessible container that once enclosed this cache - but ah well. I've signed it now, and if at any point the original cache is restored, I will make a point of going there and trying to get it open.
TFTC Out and about to pick up some caches with mountainsbeyond, StarsAlign, and geopartner
This area has been decimated and there is nothing left of the cache or contents. Put a replacement container and log sheet in place, buried under a pile of rocks. Not much else left.
Grateful thanks for placing and maintaining so many great caches to entertain me on my journey.

I was walking past this one, and despite not having the tools, decided to go and have a look. Looked around for a while and couldn't find the cache. No logs at GZ, but lots of regrowth. Checked a few burnt out logs nearby, but didn't see anything. Fire has been right through here, so unless it was an ammo can, then it probably didn't survive.
I am not a lock picker so I brought the necessary tools - 16 other people to help me. Unfortunately, between us we still didn't have a cat burglar and as the tools in the cache are broken we were unsuccessful in our attempt. A few people spent a while trying with what we had but not enough unfortunately. Still makes for good memories! TFTC
A beautiful crisp sunny afternoon on the Australian Alphine Walking Track taking lots of photos and strolling some 10km over 3.5 hours. The Baroomba Rocks carpark was full today as people seemed to be heading on the trail straight up to the lookup as we passed through along the walking track on either side instead. The walk between 'Torrevieja' and 'Six Stars' was relatively easy and very pretty. The overnight rain assisted to highlight many of the beautiful bush colours particularly the fallen gum tree bark.
For this cache we found the container out in the open. We then replaced it closeby under the nearest log as per the hint mindful that our GPS' appeared to be out 4-5m today despite the good weather. We were lucky that the lock was quick to pick as we had brought the instructions with us which were very easy to follow and understand. Without the instructions we would not have known was to do in this case.
**However the lock pick broke from its handle soon after we arrived but it is still usable.** The tool already looked 'well used' and needed a little straightening before we started and could see how this task could take a little while and how the tools can 'wear' out quickly. Ideally it would be easier to have a pick with a handle for better leverage.
Hmm maybe it's time to come out of retirement now that we have a new skill. TFTC ariesz.

Found with JohnnyBoyACT and IamCoust. JB having practised at home started the attempt before handing over to IamCoust who seemed to have a natural talent for this sort of thing. TFTC.
I'd checked out this cache a few weeks ago and done my YouTube course. Thanks to a lockpicker - no, that's wrong - a locksmith at church, I was in possession of additional information, a practice lock and a professional rake. The additional information was to apply VERY light pressure to the handle of the right-angled tool and the more professional rake tool I took in had 2 bumps on it, not 1 as on the cache supplied tool. Even though I could pick the practice lock easily, I failed in 5mins to open the Torrevieja lock. Light-fingered IamCoust tagged teamed me and he had it open withing a minute or so. Marmaduke Rothschild and I basked in his glory. TFTC and the new skills.
After the adventure at Corin Rd, MR, JBACT and I headed over to Apollo Rd to tackle the unlockable. A short hike along the trail from the car park and through a bit o' bush we quickly located GZ. With some borrowed tools of the trade JBACT sat down to show us how it was done. Things didn't quite work out, no doubt the lock was faulty. I had a shot at it next, and what do you know, 'click'. Think JBACT must of loosened it for me. A quick signing and we were back on our way to a cold beer and some munchies. TNLNSL TFTC (cash)
TikvaNZ and I spent about 25 minutes at GZ, trying to access the cache. We took turns. It was too good for us and we decided to come back another time. Maybe I need to watch some Youtube videos or something, because this is a skill that I do not have!
Back again for an extended look. Widened my search considerably from the posted coordinates. Finally found it, then spent an extended period of time fiddling............... interesting tools. Log signed, Thanks.
OK, this is not so much a DNF log (ie, NOT a log indicating I couldn't solve the puzzle and get into the container),
BUT more of a log of I COULDN'T FIND THE CONTAINER, or anything, AT ALL. I searched, felt and looked under, lifted every rotten and not rotten log within a 15m radius, no man-made objects to be found at all.
At home now and reading the previous logs: **seems the coordinates ARE NOTICEABLY OUT**. Hmmmmmmmmmm -................................

The tension wrench has been replaced and all is good to go - get those lock picking skillz on ppl and head to Honeysuckle!
Hi All, one of the lock picks supplied with this cache has been broken; if you want to attempt this cache please bring your own lock picks. I'll update this when the picks are replaced.
So after quite a memorable DNF we headed back out here after going away and completing our locksmith apprenticeship Passed a large emergency operation with the south care helicopter at the entrance to Booroomba rocks which we later found out was to rescue a fallen rock climber! It flew over a couple of times on the way to GZ.
a Was nice to come back out for a second attempt in daylight and glad that all the control burns lately didn't impact on the area. Cache found nice and quickly and this time spotted the granite outcrop which made for a great spot to sit and tackle the next part...how did we miss that last time.
We were hoping Tankengine might have left the lock open for us, no such luck unfortunately. Miss Stormcatcher had the first go, started the stopwatch. Click...45 seconds and we were in! Looks like all that study paid off. Signed the log and reset it all back for the next challenger. For some fun Mr Stormcatcher had a go and also popped the lock. hahaha nothing can hold us back now...
Thanks for a well constructed cache and challenge. Bit worrying how vulnerable some locks can be and a good lesson to learn . TFTC
FP for something different and a lesson in physical security

Well we do love a night walk and a challenge and this looked interesting. Have to say we have never picked a lock and that stat unfortunately still remains lol . We did some research prior to heading off and saved some content offline in case it could be useful in the field.
Loved the slow drive out and spotted so many cute wombats. No stars out tonight unfortunately but the cool dew filled air made the bush smell amazing.
Made it to GZ where we found the cache a little off what our GPS was indicating, maybe a 10 meters offset. Clue helped, but searching scrub like this can become quite overwhelming at night. So cache in hand the field puzzle began. Well our introduction to lock picking didn't go to well, but we persisted and watched some saved videos but still couldn't get all our "ducks" lined up. I wonder if we can call a locksmith at this hour???
So as it was well after 2am at this stage it was time to call it. Oh well , we had fun and might try some practice and obtain our own tools for a return visit one day. Definitely a test of mental endurance tonight. An interesting concept, had a giggle at the thought of the Canberra geocaching community becoming expert lock pickers as a result . I'm sure it won't be long until someone cracks the lock....

Chooo ooo *FTF* at 9.30am. Wow what an effort - it took me nearly an hour to open that lock! And I still don't know how I did it! In the end it finally sprung open, although I didn't think I was doing anything differently. Maybe the lock just got sick of me poking about in there, and gave up! This is the second lock-pick cache in the ACT, but certainly by far the harder one. Maybe another 10-20 caches like this, and I'll make a burglar yet! Coordinates for cache are about 10m out, but finding it was the easy part! I'm glad it finally opened when it did, as a few more minutes and I would have given up - my fingers were getting very sore keeping the tension, and poking about! Signed log, and returned as found. I then all of a sudden noticed that it had gotten much colder since when I arrived, and a think fog had set in. Anyways, warmed up again walking mostly uphill now, back to the Booroomba car park. Thanks ariesz.
Second night out with Ariesz looking for this cache.
(A few weeks prior) The first night hosted a sky, bursting with stars, yet no moon had risen. This made seeing the lay of the land, using approximate coordinates and Ariesz's memory (for landmarks) rather "interesting"! A couple of hours of up hill and down dale, scrambling over rocky outcrops, pushing through scrubby plants taller than both of us left us no closer to locating the GZ. We retreated back down to the path and lay in a grassy stretch, admiring at the heavens, discussing how we could improve our chances the next time we came out.
On our second foray, Ariesz was sporting supplementary GPS applications on her phone. This time, we took a more direct route up the hill from the path and it only took half the time (and a little backtracking) to get where we needed to be. It took a reasonable amount of time to pop the lock, and Kitty Soft Paws (aka Ariesz) was needed to assist with the finer skills. Signed the log and triumphantly returned to the Honeysuckle Creek car park where a spectacular midnight feast was awaiting us among the ruins of the old tracking station.
I want to convey a huge thank you to Ariesz for this cache, and especially for getting me into the geocaching lifestyle. For all the night-time hours over various years that she has spent with me, hunting through bushes, trying not to look too suspicious in high muggle-active areas, rain, hail (the Norwegians are right when they say 'There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.'!) and moonshine.
Geocaching is a pursuit for life and I could not have lucked a better friend and partner-in-crime to have such grand adventures.
