Day 2 of our long weekend staying in Millicent.
Today's plan was to knock of the GV geoart and then head to South End for an event, cache around there and then head to Beachport with the main goal to cross to Penguin Island.
The morning was go, go, go and afterwards was just cruise, cruise, cruise.
The coast is certainly a bit special and we saw some beautiful views, sea life and coastline.
Im looking forward to coming back for Easter.
Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Today was my last full day in the area so I thought that I would head towards Southend and Beachport.

The long weekend planned to cache around Millicent with sharkiefan.
Day 2 and todays plan was to hit the main GV2020 trail, go to Southend then onto Beachport.
Now with frilk, we had another set of eyes on the hunt. This sure made short work on this bush grab.

Rain held off and the sunny afternoon made it a pleasant arvo to get out & about with geo son. Tftc
Today we are in Robe staying at the geohusband's sister's shack. We were surprised when both sisters in law said they would like to come out for the day on a day trip to Beachport to collect some caches. They enjoyed it so much we continued on to Southend to find a few there as well. It was a super day out, we all thoroughly enjoyed, the hound is knackered on the couch now. It was a day of changeable weather, wind, rain, sunshine. Made for fun caching.
Enjoyed a fab lunch at the cafe in Beachport and then back home for tea and chocolates. Love caching in the South East.
This one was a must do and we were not disappointed, nice hide and nicely crafted. TFTC Kookacrew.

Now this is the type of Kookacrew hide I would expect to find. Nicely done with the camo... gives me some ideas too
Location is great, I wouldn't have come out here if it wasn't for geocaching
Deserving of an FP.

Short walk from geo van to GZ , searched for sometime then I spotted something that wasn’t quite right. Yes the cache was there and very cleverly done. This deserves a favourite, thanks Kookacrew.
Out exploring Canuda this arvo as the wind was not conducive to a day on the beach...
Have found a number of the Laugh Kookaburra series, so was great to find another so far from the ones I have found.
Great work on the hide, kids love it!
Although, I must admit, we were trying to find a 'run out', whatever that might be in a geocaching world! But soon realised our mistake, and deciphered clue as intended... lol (maybe switch "fielder" for "wicketkeeper"?) hahahaha All good fun.
Anyways, sorry didn't catch up, a last minute decision to come down. Till next time...
TNLNSL
Thanks guys...

Based in Millicent, for a few days, with our caching buddies and fellow Victorians, the Suscoe duo. Today we enjoyed a coastal adventure from Beachport to Southend. The scenery was stunning, equal to, if not more impressive than Vitoria's Great Ocean Road in parts. Again places we would not have visited had someone not placed a cache there.
A FP for such a well presented cache.
Thanks 'Kookacrew' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was out and about today with our good friends Phetlern yet again for a day of fun caching and seeing the sights and sites of the area between Millicent, Southend and Beachport.
What an amazing area and we really enjoyed the coastal scenery with the sandstone and limestone cliffs and the sea coming in in waves.
It was a cold start to the day but with a clear sky early we had a delightful day with sunshine and an almost warm touch to the air later in the afternoon.
Thanks to Kookacrew for this hide, a clever hide.

A hot day driving around Beachport and Southend - we didn't have a list saved off line and had no reception, so we were caching blind on this one - couldn't even see the hint! I saw this object and looked under it, then moved on. Luckily Ol saw something on it that I didn't and we now have a smiley . Great hide, fave from us. TFTC
Millicent
We have set up camp in a wonderful park that is situated beside the lakeside pool.
Wehad a late lunch at Beachport then moved along to Southend. Admiring the wonderful clear water.
This was our last find of the day & by far the best constructed.
Have given it a favourite point.

Staying in Beachport for a week or so we decided to come to Southend today and do a bit of caching and 4 wheel driving in Canunda Conservation Reserve.
This one was great, after a short walk to GZ and reading the very detailed hint the cache was found and we all had a conversation about how well it was constructed.
Thanks for the cache Kookacrew, a favourite.

Cache found after a short search. Love your work. Four-fun would give you a favourite if he ever gave anyone a favourite.
Out for a drive around the SE with Freddo & Waldron [^]
Day two of the tour brought us here to this fun find, very nice work on the camo [^]

Heading over to Millicent & South End hunting the first of the Mission-GC souvenirs.
I had hoped to find all the caches around South End as I really enjoyed caching here back in 2010 and the beautiful warm sunny weather assured I enjoyed today's visit too.
It took me a long time to locate this sneaky hide and I actually touched it several times before realising it was the cache.
Thanks

Brilliant cache, thanks again Kookacrew definitely gave us a smile, very clever. One of our favorite caches. 'Sunny' the beach goat had a great time jumping over tree branches to help us discover this one.
Coming near to this part of the world, how could I possibly resist looking for one of this creative CO's caches. Parked in a nice little parking zone and took a walk along the track towards GZ. Found a open spot to head inwards in to the bush and soon was at GZ. I'd searched for a minute or two until it clicked that this CO's caches need a better investigation of some things. And soon afterwards, I'd found the container and signed the log. Thanks for the journey to this part of the world Kookacrew. 12/03/2016, 13:00 Find #1614
Found on a weekend trip down to the South East with CPwanderer & clare007.
I called my sister, tallhorse, to invite her to come along to find the Southend caches...the local knowledge certainly helped when trying to locate the right path in to some of the caches here.
A walk through the clearing to the other side. I noticed something did not quite fit...however I was not expecting what I saw...a well crafted cache...Thanks Kookacrew...you've done it again

Our second day caching the lower South East with CPWanderer & hevwalker.
We were joined by local & relative tallhorse.
A short walk to gz, we soon had the area surrounded.
hevwalker found an interesting item at left field.
Thanks for the cache, very creative Kookacrew

Found this cache with clare007 and hevwalker on an expedition to the south east! We had perfect weather on our trip …. Picking up some great Traditionals, multis and puzzles and a number of earthcaches. We also attended the Aussie Outback Event in Mount Gambier and local teams FT016 and Spanner111 took us on a nightcaching run!
Tall Horse joined us for this one .............................. quickly located!!

Wow this is one of the best caches we have found so far, keep up the good work. TFTC
Be careful where you step on this one, one of us lost their balance and fell over. Otherwise cache is in a nice quiet are and kinda easy to find TFTC
Howzat!! A first to find and our first on a Kookacrew cache. Pulled up and maneuvered the Camry off the track which was lucky as just as we were about to leave two 4wd's came along bound for the coast.
Co-ordinates took us along a meandering path and at GZ something stood out as not quite fitting in. Maybe that is were the out comes in so to speak.
On closer inspection I noticed a flash of red so things were looking good. Even better I found my way in first try and discovered that the cache was housed in a former home of the rarely sighted ground dwelling Kookaburra.
Thanks Kookacrew for placing this cache, getting us out of the house and our 61st FTF.
