Quick find today. Spent some time here with my ancestors. Really great little cemetery, I'm glad there is a cache here. Tftc
#6148Day 2 of our great geo-adventure with great geomates. An interesting little cemetery off the beaten track. It was nice to see where ash_kate's ancestors lie at rest.Cache was soon discovered and log signed. Thanks for the geofun Joshwa27.
Did a couple of jigsaws and re-solved a couple of history mysteries to fill my time before taking a trip to Hill End via Wellington. I decided to use geocaching to show me things in the area I had previously missed. It worked.
Highlights were a number of lookouts, the Cornish Roasting Pits, and an incredibly creepy looking graveyard.
Thanks to everyone who hid these caches.

Tftc Joshwa27, not sure if we came here the easiest way. ? Nice well maintained cemetery
I took the “interesting” way in and had a longer than expected search to uncover the container.

Hill End and Mudgee weekend April 2018. I set out late on Thursday after a small car battery issue. I only stopped once before a night at Bummeroo ford. Friday took me to Orange via many spread out caches between Oberon and Bathurst. I spent the night at Macquarie woods. Saturday started foggy and then warmed up. I was heading to Hill end, and did make it, but I had to give up on the Bridle track due to a rockfall. Late in the evening I did find a spot along the Turon river and the very bumpy northern section of the Bridle trail. Sunday had me finishing the TRLT trail from Mudgee to Gulgong and a few missed ones in the middle of nowhere. The last day was a simple drive home from Sofala. A great weekend !
After the rough morning start on the Bridle Track it was a relief to get to normal roads, even dirt ones. A fun exploration of Hargraves was next and I enjoyed the several stops caching provided, including morning tea.
Thanks.

We are staying at the Mudgee showgrounds and with this extreme heat we headed out early and got back to the caravan by mid afternoon and the comfort of the aircon. We enjoy these rural locations and this was one of the caches we targetted and found. We appreciated the extra effort put into some of the caches to provide a more creative hide. Thanks to Joshwa27 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
out on a sniff around with the Webguy's, in the rain, Webby took a quick find here , nothing like a mint tin and scrap paper log to inspire TFTC
1/10/17. 9:05 AM. Cache #5338.
2nd of 71 finds today.
Day 2 of the long weekend for which I have come up to plunder caches in the Mid West Regional council. Having started the day up in Gulgong, the next part of my morning saw me getting all the caches in Hargraves and Tambaroora to the south, before tackling The Road Less Travelled.
I approached this one from Merinda St and the dirt road soon got quite bumpy. With low clearance, I decided that this 2WD wasn't suited for this approach, so I pulled over, I wasn't far from Louisa Creek Cemetery where I knew I would be caching anyway. 400m as the crow flies up a hill to the cache with only a light bush bash. OK, that'll have to do.
So up and over I went, although around the top of the hill all the iron under my feet was sending the signal a bit screwy so I walked in circles for a bit until it settled down. The same thing happened on the way back. Lots of quartz lumps around on this hill. Over to the cemetery, where I made a quick find.
I returned back past the car but continued on foot to "Hargraves Haunted Louisa Creek Cemetery". TFTC.

I took the car through the gate, but left it at the start of the grass area. i walked to the cache with the sound of Billy Squier blaring from the car. Loud enough to wake the dead. Apologies to the residents of this place.
A nice little find at another interesting look at how the past years unfolded for the locals! Thank you for placing! : )
A quick and easy find this morning. Not been to Hargraves in a very long time. We ended up visiting all 3 cemeteries in town while we wandered around for a few hours.
Had a Geo expedition today with the Geo Parents, from Windeyer to Hargraves via Hill End. Many finds and a good time had by all.
We spent the day with our son, IRON.BRAD, although it is geoDan who has a titanium prosthesis courtesy of a recent hip replacement. A nice drive from Windeyer to Hell End to Hargraves and back to Windeyer. TFTC
This was a fun cache. Followed a rough but fun track towards this cache, and we ploughed our way through some decent deep puddles to get to where we wanted to go. we both had a fun time giving the ute a good covering of mud and water.
Wandered to GZ and made a quick find. The town of Hargraves is now cache completed.
