I will be out to check in this in the next week or 2. The last time I said that was back in March, just before covid restrictions So I was unable to do maintenance on this cache.

Second attempt today while on a walk. No such luck but found the sticker from the cache
I will be out to check this one and do some maintenance in the next few weeks.
Past experiences tell me it's not missing if you scroll and tally the finds with the DNF.
I will replace log soon.

Went back this morning for another look, still couldn’t find it - even with a hint from the CO. Might be worth someone going to check on it, or at least to raising the difficulty!!
We couldn’t find it! We messaged the CO for a hint so hopefully we will be able to go back for a second hunt before we have to leave Brisbane Definitely got the bat poop experience tho!!
We put in a little plastic lion.

Was in the area looking for the final to a puzzle cache, and didn't have any luck. As the sunlight dwindled, I made my way over here to grab this one. Luckily, the muggles stopped walking by just long enough for me to make the find. TFTC.
Found while staying at Toowong for the week, heading out to find a few nearby caches for the day. Thanks for the cache Free4all!
Called in and made the quick find after a work site visit. Lots of this caches namesake resting nearby. Always a little wary of them thanks to all the media hype about disease.
Thanks for the cache Free4all

Out doing a few km for the Great Cycle Challenge
Great Cycle Challenge takes place in October and participants will pedal as many kilometres as they can throughout the month.

Lovely and lively cool evening at the park with people out hanging fruit in the trees to supplement the bats’ diet during the current drought.
Cache was a straightforward find in the company of mosquitoes, bats, and a friend who has just rediscovered Geocaching.
Thanks for the cache.

I'm new to this.. is being at the bat area finding this one? If so, yay! If not, I've no idea what I'm looking for. Lol.
It was awesome reading about the flying foxes
This is my first offical box I’ve found
Thank you so much

Day one of Streak Week (hopefully). Attempted to find another that I have failed at before, this time bringing the kids and yet, still no luck. Geo- navigator directed us here instead. We have played here a few times before but I didn't realise this other path was here. With the kids circling in the dark, I used some intuition and found the cache pretty quickly. Kids wanted both the little treasures but we had nothing to swap for them, so they are still there.

We came here at night time when the bats were away, but the curlews didn't take too kindly to our presence. Took us a little while to find in the dark though, but we didn't give up
My gps sent me to a different location time after time.
Persisted and found it.
No swaps for me here
Thank you for hiding and maintaining this geocache Free4all!

Upon approach to GZ our eyes were focused on the playground. Not a kid in sight and that meant a couple of old wood-ducks could relive their youth. Off we went for a bit of a play and some photos before going on the hunt. I don't know why we still feel we need to give any playground we see a work out, but it makes us feel happy when your backsides still fit in a swing or slippery-slide.
Nearing GZ the first thing that you notice is the peppering of fertiliser that the locals above have deposited. It's an effluvious assault on your sense of smell. It's only when you and your partner look at each other to see if some skid marks were left do you look up to see the quiet herd above.
When it comes time to look for the cache, you don't want to dig into the leaves too deeply because you know what they have been coated with. All of the locals were hanging upside down and we wondered whether they can poo while upside down. It's a skill I've always wanted to learn because I know the day will come when I need to drop a nugget myself in the middle of a handstand. tftc

This was an anxious visit while collecting clues for the jewel heist. Was concerned about the toileting arrangements of the residents above, the bats seemed to be all tucked up adleep but the ibis were active.
Luckily it was a quick find and I scooted before recieving any unwonted "souvenirs"! I took the TB to pass on at an event on the weekend.

Great spot and cache! Took a trackable and left another in it’s place! TFTC! Cache find no. 119!
Out for a quick roll on Evie the geocycle this morning. An umberella would be good here.
A nice quick find. Left a TB.

Parked near here to get changed into some more appropriate clothing for my Sisters Graduation. Made the way over to quickly grab the cache. Thanks for placing
Thank you for bringing us to this wonderful batty spot. I personally love bats and can watch them for hours. They got pretty vocal about us traipsing about below them and took off in many directions. Cache was quickly found by M.
Hatzofff and I are with Deaf Phantom, E_Smiley and Snickersallan caching before an event at UQ.
Replaced the log book. All good now.

After walking through far too many spider webs, I gave up. Shame I wanted to get some more before going back home to NZ
This ist one of the most interesting locations I have found while caching.
Unfortunately I found myself on the table for myriards of mosquitos and thus decided just to take some pictures and move on.
I will be back for sure!

Circled & circled & circled.. there’s only one spot I haven’t checked yet. Yep, of course TFTC!
Always see these flying foxes take off every night and was wondering where they were roosting. Great tag.
I’m a big fan of bats. I think they have such cute faces. I disturbed the rest of more than a few of them today while scratching around in the undergrowth to find this cache. While there were plenty of the little critters in the trees overhead, I also saw quite a few of the poor little darlings that had died. I think the heat has been difficult for them to cope with it seems. TFTC
A quick find on the way over to do some pool maintenance on mother-in-law's house. Our find was accompanied by the squeaks of many bats although it was night time and most of them were probably out eating.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache!

A great place for kids to play nearby. Quite a few dead individuals under the trees.

RMJAH left me out of his account. I, too, was there in March, 2016, when Esken6 and RMJAH first found this cache, but I was not yet an official geocacher at the time. I was also present today (September 23, 2018), and I was happy when Esken6 again found the cache.
Esken6 and I found this cache in March, 2016. We decided to look for it again today (September 23, 2018). We found it to be properly hidden and in good shape, except for its pencil being broken.
A nice quick and easy cache, I was out here on a nightly walk and got the caching hunger. Decided to pick up this little one. A bunch of leaves covered the cache a bit making me miss it it the first time, but once I slowed down a bit it was pretty good!
There were some pretty cool things in here, but I took nothing.

First try no luck. Second try at non to many Pteropus that got upset by our present during their sleep so we had to retrack as they let brown stuff on us. The third time we tried an early evening which was better. Photolog due to the presence of various animals including spiders and brown stuff bombing from above!!!. Thank you for the cache, which caused some extra washing
Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Checked in on this cache today. All is ok with the cache. Exactly where it should be. Happy catching.
Was walking around in the bush for ages and gave up because I felt like I was disturbing the beautiful bats
After a kayak filled week-end in Brissy it is time to head back home.
I thought I would make the stop to check out this one.
I currently have 20 staples in my foot from surgery last week so walking any great distance is a little painful.
A nice short walk from where I parked the car.
And a quick find nicely tucked away. [^]
Unfortunately the bat colony overhead does not make this a nice search.
Thanks for the cache.

We were out in the car this afternoon, heading south and we thought we’d make a detour to come and see this area. We were glad to read the description first, so we could find out a little more about the beautiful creatures that live here. At GZ, we made a quick find, using our logic as to where the container might be placed.
Thanks

Found this late yesterday afternoon, last find for the day. This marks several bat related nesting sites i've been geo-magneted towards, yet the first that actually explained their presence!
Was a little nervous at first, as the park was filled with muggles, but thankfully gz is hidden away, so a stealthy hide was soon located.
Thanks for bringing me here

The bats are so cute!!! But I need to go home and wash my hands now... TFTC - nice place!
Didn't read the blurb for the cache so when we looked up to see one, then hundreds of bats it was an amazing surprise! I think they were all fanning themselves with their wings cos it is so hot and humid today. Thanks for showing us this area of Brisbane!
OCjr requested me to pick up some Lego from Auchenflower, so I decided to make the most of my time in the area and find some caches too. A short walk and an even shorter search. I was worried about getting rained on, so I scurried along. The trees were absolutely full of bats, but they were not at all worried by my presence.
Thanks for the hunt **Free4all!**, this find makes #4183. Discover our TB
