After spending most of the day in the hot sun at a sporting event up north, I thought I should make use of the long evening to pick up a few caches in the Puketi area before heading home.
A nice quick find here and great to see a larger container. TFTC

NZ is back at level 2 so we can go geocaching again. Please wash your hands and stay safe. Happy caching!
The bucket also had a fresh lock of paint while it was out of action. All ready to be found again.

IMPORTANT: Due to New Zealand's recent State of Emergency declaration and a nationwide lockdown due to commence at 11.59pm Wednesday 25 March, this geocache is disabled until further notice. Logs from now until the lockdown is officially lifted will be deleted. While geocaching is a fantastic was to get physical exercise and support good mental health, there is risk of spreading the virus by many people handling a geocache. Not worth the risk. Stay home and solve a puzzle instead! Kia kaha. Be kind. Stay home. Wash your hands.
Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Out for a drive on a beautiful day in the "Winterless" North. Thought I would grab a few caches on the way.
Great to see some good information about Save the kiwi and kiwi related matters. Important for everyone to be educated about our national bird! TFTC

I was searching for quite a while - again, I made it more difficult than it was... Found the traps for the animals first and then realized, that I was too high... On my way back to the car, I spotted the cache Everything in fine condition!
Thanks for the kiwibird-information inside!

TFTC... My final find before heading home and getting closer to my 100 finds! Love finding caches of this size... you know you can fit some goodies in.
Thanks for the education on our beautiful kiwi! Cache was full of some great goodies... and I added some more kiwiana for future cachers. Loved the logbook too. You obviously put a lot of effort into this GC so thank you very much. Earns a fave from me
After retrieving was praying I'd find my way back to the main road after getting lost countless times today lol.
Signed log as being 9th August when was actually the 8th sorry.

Today was another nice day for our holiday trip in new zealand were we of course also found some caches along the way.
Today we took a trip from round kerikeri.
This is one of them. thank you for maintaining this cache.
took 3 trackable out to travel along with me and left one that wanted to stay in New Zealand.
It wants to go back to Napier the owner told me, so if someone can arrange that, it would be nice.

All good to go, happy caching! Returned cache by the light of the stars and the sliver of moon along with the dog (who has been to kiwi aversion training, for the record!).
New lick of paint and this time a lacquer coating to help it out in the elements. Ready for more finders this year Brochures added- help yourself but please note it in your log so we can keep it well stocked.
I love large caches and the extra information in there! Found it quickly before heading to the nearby Kauri Walk.

Out for a bit of a drive this morning to collect a few caches. Hard not to have an easy find of a cache this big. Thanks.
(1871) Up in the mid North on a caching raid today, Great to pick up some easier road side caches to help the count. TFTC
I was up in Whangarei for the long weekend and today joined up with tikitour and PageHeart for an all day road trip around Russell, Waitangi, Kerikeri and the outskirts of Puketi Forest. It was a great day out with great company, lots of caches found and pleasingly not a single DNF! We mostly signed the logs with some variation of TPV for our caching names.
Towards the end of the day we drove around the back roads by Puketi Forest, finding all the caches around here. All caches were nice quick park and grabs. TFTC!

Out for a days geocaching road trip with mr tikitour, Vistra and Pageheart. travelling around the mid north and into Puketi forest. What a great day, weather was good, great company , lunch on a deck overlooking the beautiful Tapeka point and not a DNF today.....we signed the log in variations of TPV to save space and time.
After visiting the forest we toured around to pick up all the new caches. Thanks for placing.

So today saw a geocaching adventure with Vistra, Tikitour and myself. Our adventurer started early in the morning and saw us heading for a bunch of caches both new and old in Russel and Puketi Forest and surrounding back-roads. In total we spent over 14 hours on the road and out caching visiting places that we would never have gone without caching,
Logs were signed with initials VTP or a variation of the letters to save time and space.
Great cache! Loved how well stocked it was. Took one of the kiwi pamphlets Also grabbed a badge and left a homemade swap behind!

of all the caches collected this evening this one was a stand out. Not just because of its size but the detail to the camo pattern and information inside. TFTC
Nice to see such a big cache with lots of nic nacks in it. Took nothing. Fantastic paint job on this one - love the ferns. Last first to find for the night. Time to head home and put the kids to bed. A wonderful way to end my birthday - 9 First to finds with my caching buddy. Thanks Skaga
