After a bit of scouting around on this surprisingly busy corner geokid 8 snatched this one. TFTC .
It took a while for the hint to make sense this morning. Should have had more coffee before heading out. Found in good condition. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. Plenty of hint items around!
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we toured around north of Waiuku up to the southern heads of the Manukau harbour. It is a hot summer so far!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Spent an excellent day with Keylev. Super wet day, soggy hiking boots but a boat load of caches to show for it!
Found this with Keylev as she's done this before. She made me work for it, though! TFTC

Nice quick find - all good here.
Thanks for the cache.

Grabbed this cache as we were leaving the park area and I'd spotted a possible site on the way in so left the phone in the car. Alas it was across the road so headed there for an easy find. I like these double bottle top/outer container combinations.
Well, Easter is here and a Good Friday trip out proved to be a good Friday for a trip out. We headed up to Manakau Heads lighthouse then looped back via Awhitu Regional Park and then snaffled up the two Crayolas that I never found when I last headed out to this area 6 months ago. Not a huge number of finds, but some new scenery was found and enjoyed and some usual suspect COs caches too. Thanks to all COs and to the region for turning on a warm day, again!

Today was the day Team G0LD (Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ) finally got to collect the crayola puzzles. As Pete said we'd planned this trip ages ago but covid-19 got in the way. It was a long day but I really enjoyed it. We found all the crayola series, a few trads near them, a few other solved puzzles. In the middle of the series we headed up to Awhitu Regional park to get the Kauritutahi Island cache that required low tide. Along the way we even managed two FTF's giving us a total of just over 100 for the day.
We'd just walked around Awhitu Regional park and done the CO's cache series. Onto the hanging around series now which are all park and grabs. Added this quick trad as we passed. A quick find here too but the log was mush. Thanks for the caches around this area

Off on a mission today with Team G0LD ( Geocachers 0B8, Lis & Daffy ) to finally do the Crayola 64 series. The puzzles had been solved ages ago, but due to two Covid forced delays, it was only now we could coordinate schedules and head south from Whangarei to make the finds.
Part way through the 64 series, we decided to make a dash for Awhitu, to collect as many of the trads and bonus puzzles up here as possible. The tide was also supposed to be low around 2:30 and we should also be able to walk out to the island too. However, when we arrived there was still 100 metres of water surrounding the island, so we decided on doing the park walk first.
Once our walk was completed, we carried on by cache mobile to do the hanging around series. Stopped off here for this extra one, but the log was too wet to sign unfortunately. TFTC

Out with Team Gold (Liz Crew and 0B80B8) picking up as many caches as possible in the South Auckland area. After picking up a bunch of Crayola puzzle caches we decided to head up South Head and collect the series at Awhiti.
Log very wet so unable to sign. TFTC

We tried looking for this one a couple of years ago in the pouring rain while multiple cars were driving past and quickly abandoned the effort with the intention of returning soon.
Today wasn't quite as soon as expected but better late than never and we were very pleased that this time we found the cache immediately.
The log was quite wet but we managed to sign.
Thanks Stik-a-crane. We are very pleased to finally turn this into a smiley.

I spent the morning driving around the peninsular picking up a few caches along the way. This was a nice quick park and grab, TFTC!
Doing my bit to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Keep well, Keep safe.
See you on the other side.

The two youngest davidsonclan children and dad have come camping for the night at Awhitu what a lovely spot quiet exploring the tracks now.Tftc quick find this morning
I have packed up my car, have had an excellent breakfast with some cachers in the campground. Now we’re heading to other caches up north of the peninsula. But for me, this is the first leaving the campground.
Our merry group are Rustynz, Rebel98 in their car, Helephant is with me, Tramyard in his car, alunb in his car, Cyclicalcaching and PJRBO in their van. Later we will rendezvous with rosmar, FMZ, boney-bruce at the phone cache multi.
Cyclicalcaching signed me in on this one, now we're off to Treasure Island.

Grabbed this with the leap day event leftovers as we departed the park!
Thank you!
Thank you!
We are staying, but on our way in we make the detour to find the cache. With rustynz for an overnight stay at the Awhitu Leap Year Campout event
On our way to the Leap Year Campout Event at Awhitu, luckily saved some caches to the phone, as reception is so patchy/slow.
Quick stop off, thanks Stik-a-crane for the hide
For some reason we kept wanting to miss this turn off to the Regional Park, it seems to come up quickly, and I suspect we were not the only ones to have this fun

To Stay ... for the Leap Day camp/bbq event. Also all the other caches in the park. TFTC
I am heading out to Awhitu for the leap year campout, and stopped here briefly along the way. I'm staying two nights, so looking forward to it, cheers
Located this one on the way to the Leap Year Campout at Awhitu, no problem with the find TFTC.
Day one of a weekend in Auckland with my wife. She loves to geocache, I keep her company.
I left a travel bug here.
JDScout had a conference in Auckland for part of the week so I met up with hem on Friday night. Hopefully we will find a few geocaches on this trip as I haven't got many left to find in Christchurch.
Thanks Stik-a-crane for placing this geocache 7644 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Found after starting at Hamilton gap last night. Not staying at the ARC park tonight but might in a day or 2. Tftc
Nice easy find! Having a great time picking up all the caches up the peninsula! TFTC
While staying with some friends in Pukekohe I figured I'd go on a small excursion up to the Manukau Heads. I had a little laugh here as the cache wasn't where it should be but was (only just) within reach further into the paddock. Good spotting on my behalf and now this one is signed off it's time to move on. Cheers Stik-a-crane, TFTC
A day of caching on the Awhitu Peninsula with KirsTim, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83, this was a quick drive by en route. Thanks for the hide!
Spent today exploring and caching around the Awhitu Peninsula, together with Vamber, KirsTim and Yorkshirekiwi83, signing the logs as KKKTTS.) This was a quick find on our way to the Regional Park for a walk. TFTC!
Out caching with KrisTim, Vamber and vistra (signed logs as KKKTTS or a variety thereof) around the Awhitu Regional Park and this was a nice quick find as a drive by, TFTC
Initiating a friend to the caching world so we headed this way into my favourite part of the world. Quick find here. TFTC
After a trip to the lighthouse decided to get a few grand on the way back. No problems here. Tftc
Picked this one up on the way back from the regional park. Nice quick PnG and back on the road so we could make the monthly Hamilton event. TFTC
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
After a good breakfast I decided to drive to Awhitu park to make a nice hiking tour. The weather was nice and I could find a lot of Caches - and no DNF's [^] , so I enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and the view at the sea.
This one was on my way back. Quick find here!

On a bit of a morning mission with C&D to the South Head of the Manukau Harbour. This is a trip I have been wanting to do for a while so glad to finally visit. This trip also ticked off my 9000th cache find milestone. It was a great trip with the usual laughs, though a slight tide issue made it truly memorable. Thanks to the CO's for all the hides.
Find number 3711. I have never been this far north on the peninsula so I am spending the day with my muggle daughter seeing the sights and of course doing some caching. We pulled up across the road and I walked over to GZ. The cache was not where I thought it would be but soon I had my hands on it. I stepped back so the flax shielded me from the car parked down the side road. Once the cache was back in place. It was on to the next. Thank you for the placement.
Plan for this weekend to visit Awhitu Peninsula Never been in this area before except Waiuku.
Met up with fellow cachers from Huntly on Friday night and travelled up on Saturday morning. Plan to start at bottom and work up.+ Cachers were signed with the team name HRT being first letter of our home towns (Huntly, Rotorua, Tauranga)
Generally caches were good but some a little damp, others requiring reading descriptions, hints and other cachers comments to make finds.
As the day went on we realised we would have to return the next day to complete, so this made it a Saturday & Sunday mission.
Weather was great and some amazing sites visited.
Wish to thank all CO's for caches placed. Great trip. SLTFTC

We've been planning a raid on the Awhitu Peninsula for some time, with a view to clearing the area of caches... It's time to execute this mission.
This was a quick find while on the road to Awhitu Regional Park. TFTC.

I'd suggested to Mr and Mrs Beconaze we head out to Awhitu Regional Park, as I had fond memories of it from when I was a kid. After picking me up in Waiuku, we headed out, with me suggesting we pick up a few of the road side caches on the way
Found easily. Cache all dry and in good condition. I was hoping to spend half a day at Awhitu Regional Park finding more caches, but my leg had got infected and swollen and I had instructions to elevate it. Thanks for the cache Stik-a-crane.
2nd cache for the day and the year as we travel to Awhitu Regional Park for the day with RWIMF
