Found that Mill "Molen van Sloten" 22-9-2002 in Nederland.
The Sloten Windmill is a tower mill, with an octagon from 1847. It is the only mill in Amsterdam that is accessible to the public. The mill lies on the outskirts of Amsterdam, at the ring canal and sees to it that the water level in the lower lying surroundings remains below a specific level. Throughout the year this polder draining mill, which is still functioning, can be visited daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. ( with the exception of 1st January, 30th April (Queens' Day) and 25/26th December). The Sloten Mill has a lift, so that also elderly people and physically handicapped will be able to visit the gallery (balcony). With pleasure a number of voluntary co-workers explain everything during the guided tour through the mill. And if it is at all possible, the miller shows how he turns the mill cap so that the vanes face the wind, how he let the vanes rotate or on the contrary stops them, or how he puts the sails in the vanes. In short, it is worthwhile to pay a visit.
Greetings Jever/Germany

Windmill at Aptucxet Trading Post
Bourne, Massachusetts, USA
The windmill located at the entrance to the grounds of the Aptucxet Trading Post was originally located on the grounds of "Crow's Nest," the summer home of actor Joseph Jefferson, a good friend and fishing companion of president Grover Cleveland. This Dutch-style windmill is reminiscent of the days when windmills were an integral part of Cape Cod life in the grinding of grains as well as pumping salt water for the salt works so prevalent on Cape Cod in the 1800's.
Looking through these log entries reminds Mr. Seeker of visits to Holland when he was in high school. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, and the cache!

Hunting a windmill in our neighbourhood is easy, because there are many working windmills in this area; province Groningen, North-Netherlands.
This one is called "Molen Dijkstra" and it' s located in Winschoten, that has a nickname "Molenstad" (Millcity), because 7 mills are located there. Molen Dijkstra is still working, grinding seed. Also a mill where new millers get their education. More information about this mill:http://www.groningermolens.nl/Molen%20Dijkstra%20gegevens.htm

Boyd’s Eight-vane Wind Grist Mill is one of the last two survivors of more than twenty known wind mills which once worked to supply the daily needs of Aquidneck Island. It is the only eight-vane smock mill ever built and operated in New England and one of the very few survivors in the United States.
In 1810, John Peterson built this mill and a house on fifty-six acres of land near the intersection of Mill Lane and West Main Road in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and where the mill remained for 185 years. William Boyd first leased the mill then bought it in 1815. It has been known as Boyd’s Wind Grist Mill ever since. Peterson and two millwrights constructed the mill in an octagonal "smock" style, so-called because of an alleged resemblance to a man in a smock – the loose garment our forefathers wore during weekdays.
The mill fell into disrepair and was almost lost until saved by the Middletown Historical Society and moved to the Paradise Valley Park. The mill is open to the public on Sunday afternoons from May through September and guided tours are provided.

We were at Arneys Mount in Burlington County New Jersey today to get a locationless cache. The highest elevation in the county. As we pulled over to the side of the road to look for the mount my wife noticed this unique windmill. As I was taking the picture the owner came out and inquired what we doing. We explained to him the Hiking with a purpose hobby (geocaching) we started doing for exercise. He explained to us that his windmill(although not active at the time of the pictures) use need to draw water from the spring underground. Located behind the windmill is a building that ois on the national historic list. Its the Arneys Mount friend meeting house from the 1700's. A unique and clever wind mill.

This is a typical Portuguese windmill and can be fond in Alcabideche, Portugal. In this place you can also find several others like this but in worse conditions . There’s also one recently recovered for educational purpose. Schools can visit it and produce their one bread. Unfortunately it isn’t a 4 wings windmill, but rather one with an American design (metal tower with several wings). You may be confused by the number of poles but I assure you that each pole only receives one big triangular wing.

This beautifull windmill is located in Warnsveld near Zutphen in the east of Holland. The mill is named Nooitgedacht.Build in 1905. Restaurated in 1956, 1968, and 1981. Type, Stellingkorenmolen.
Le Moulin de Moidrey - can be found just south of Le Mont Saint Michel on the north French coast. The mill is still in working order and can be used for milling grain. The mill dates from 1806.
In the Netherlands it is not a challange to find a windmill, I can find a dozen or so within a hour on the bikecycle. Because 95% of the mills are built for pumping water I needed some searching for one what grinds seeds.

Despite the claims of an earlier log windmills such as this can be found in Australia. This particular windmill can be found just outside Diamond Creek in Victoria, Australia. I have no idea of its name, but its been there for quite a while, it used to be the only building in that spot, now its surrounded by a suburban street. I'm not sure how real it is though, it seems more of a fanciful house than a functional windmill.
I spotted this windmill in suburban Amsterdam, Netherlands. I can't tell you much about it, except that its name is Molen Van Sloten, it was built in 1847, it celebrated its 150th anniversary on 19 June 1997, and that it has a business ensconced on the ground floor. TFTC.
There is only one sort of windmill to be found in Australia and it pumps water for stock. There is only one true blue brand and that is Southern Cross.
