5 of us here today unable to find anything other than Percy or hitchhiking leeches sadly.
This afternoon, I found myself post-lunch lazing around with KbreeAhh, Ponchomon11, Fangsoki and 1MinnieMoo and after much chatter about geocaching and favourite hiders, I offered an option to head to Southport for both the drive and some geocaches. Soon after, we were in the car.
And as often tends to happen, I am standing on the Southport Spit, thinking of Springbrook. I decided we'd detour before heading home, knowing full well one of my geocaches may need love (it did not) and we'd have to take the long way due to the closed Murwillumbah Road.
Up there, I noted this icon on my map, unfound and unfound by the others in the car. Let's go then. It sure is down a back road that I've not traversed before, and as we carefully drove, loads of pademelons scattered.
Parking up, I was surprised there's a little park here. Complete with more pademelons! The five of us converged on GZ and began poking about. Percy was very quickly found, but no geocache. More fossicking and checking of logs. A photo was found but no geocache.
With this many eyes, we couldn't see it and have severe doubts about it's existence at GZ. Then I noted I had two leeches on my person, which resulted in a mass exodus and leech-check by all. Nearby I saw some pretty flowers. No geocache today, but glad I visited Springbrook again.

As per my DNF below, five of us looked for a good while but no geocache to be found. Seems it's been a while without love (wet logbook etc.) for some time.
Maybe suggest the owner head out to check on this and replace if required

DNF, but I did find the toy truck! Hopefully the next person has better luck!
Out for a morning of caching with Giraffe18 and with a target cache in Springbrook here we are… It’s quite wet today, so we’re limiting our caching to the easy ones… to give you an idea, all that could be seen from Canyon Lookout was white…
This was a relatively quick find once we got past the other living dead feature…
Not the best container for the environment, and the log was “damp”… so we double bagged it with silica, although I would question the restorative properties of silica here…

We were up in the clouds for this one. Driving slowly along single lane and had a little furry fella hop in front of us.
Found Geo quickly but container is rusted and was full of water. Peppa saved the day with new bags, actually double bagged and log signed and off we went.

Found today with goldielover and colinyou1. Have just done the waterfalls walk. Heaps of water going over.
All good here with your cache

Found, hiking with stairman1 and Goldielover, awesome area well worth the outing and certainly can make a full day, TFTC
I was searching at the wrong “living dead”. Krcamber the called found it. Not far away. Tftc
Out with Reezielou this morning for a quick caching adventure. We started off in the wrong area here but after widening our search we soon found whet we were looking for. TFTC!
Taking the L-plater for a long drive.
Managed to pick up a few finds today.
The tree is now a living and a stump
Cache in good condition, thank you

Someone chopped down most of the dead tree and used it for a fire! A friendly neighbour pointed us into the right direction
Nice quick one was just sitting out in the open covered with a bit of natural camo TFTC LOKKY1
A nice quick find on a lovely morning in a beautiful area. Wish I could live here!
Couldn’t find it went to what I suspect was the right tree but didn’t have any luck. Nice park anyway though!
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
Today I did a caching expedition to Springwood, Natural Bridge and then over the border to Murwillumbah with geo-daughter. There was a wallaby acting as the cache guardian as we approached the cache. TFTC

Took a trip up to Springbrook to celebrate the road being open again and there just happened to be a few uncollected smileys on the way. We have been to Springbrook many times but never really ventured off the tourist routes. The park here is a bit of a mystery but all the amazing little roadways and the number of hidden houses was a real surprise. TFTC King Po
After attending the Event a few of went to find this cache in this very quiet park in the middle of nowhere. That saying, I would not have come here, if it wasn't for geocaching, is so true in this case. TFTC King Po
A few of us ventured down to this quiet park following the nearby event. A fairly quick find. Thanks King Po.
Found with a few others after the nearby event! Tftc. Log was ripped etc. So replaced!
This was a little bonus after completing the long walk on the Warringa multi and whilst driving around looking for a coffee stopover. The park is well hidden and you wouldn't know it was there if it were not for coming to search for this cache which was nicely hidden and easy enough to find in a secluded location away from muggles.

After our group assault on Waringa, What a Purla and the Nyah nyah earth cache at Purling Brook Falls, Griffo mentioned this cache. So we set off, but were a little slow at leaving the parking area at the fudge shop, so when we arrived, Mrs SP already spotted the cache and brought it our for the name ceremony
Log signed and cache replaced at 2:50 PM on December 1, 2018. TFTC, King Po.

After completing our hike to find the multi cache Waringa this morning, we continued along the road to see the view from the nearby Lookout. Took a detour to grab this cache.
Who would have thought that this little park was here without geocaching bringing us to this place. Found the cache, signed the log then returned as found.

Was with the group which when walking for 4 hours to find a multi nearby.
We thought we drove past the cache but we continued further and managed to get to the tricky gz.
TFTC King Po. Slow Puncture and griffo had the cache already when we arrived so it was an easy task to put our signature in.

Sunday. We were in the area and so couldn’t let this cache get past us! Coming up to GZ, I found the cache on the ground about a metre away. Log was signed by us all and cache replaced.
This was the 4th of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***King Po***, for showing us this place.

Found while doing a walk at Springbrook in the company of Slow puncture, RoddyC and Snickersallan.
Very nice park.

A good find and camouflaged well, however the paper is wet. We didn’t have something to replace the log paper. TFTC
Out caching today with 4 other Kiwi's, 4 of us (Rebel98, rustynz and Batgirl5 and myself) flew here to the Gold Coast from New Zealand a few days ago and we met up with our caching buddy lokky1 who is now a resident of these parts. We're here for 4 days and 4 nights and are tourists as much as we are cachers! We sign the logs either individually or to save space as ANZ (Alliance New Zealand).
But now it's just me and rusty, her hubby has jumped waka's so to speak and chose to head back to the hotel with Batgirl and lokky in lokky's raptor wagon.... what a traitor!! rusty is going to have words with him alright... heh heh heh!
So now I'm driving the hired vehicle while rusty attends to navigation. We were unable to do the nearby earth cache due to maintenance going on, so we continued driving and I managed to drive right on the grass and park right next to GZ. We had a small search and I found the cache, carefully checking for spiders before touching it.
Thanks for the cache King Po.

We were hoping to walk to the waterfall, but with the sign saying a 2 hour walk, we just don't have the time. So its a detour to this cache, before we drive back to the Gold Coast.
Gorby makes the find, and the cache is retrieved from its hiding place. We have been told its 6-8 weeks since it last rained, so all the logs have been lovely and dry.
Thanks King Po for the hide, and bringing us here

Just a warning regarding this cache, Do not approach it from the road on the way up as it is private property, continue further up road and follow side streets to reach the park.
GPS had me bouncing around in the trees for some time before I eventually located it, log is certainly damp as it was a poor choice of container, relying on a zip bag to keep log dry, managed to sign it though.
Thanks guys for the cache.

This was our first Geocache ever! We moved to Springbrook a few months ago and live very close to this park, but never knew about it. Now we have a new place to take the doggo!
#1528 Greetings from England
Mr. Maths is Australian but we haven't been back here for 7 years, and we took up geocaching shortly after that last trip. So whilst visiting his parents at Springbrook, we had to make sure to find the nearest cache to their place Having failed to walk the circuit at Purling Brook Falls as part of it is closed, we got back to the house with some time on our hands, so Mr. Maths and I headed out together. When we reached the park, my instinct was to walk in among the trees, while Mr. Maths studied the GPS in the more open park and walked parallel to me until he was perpendicular to the cache. At that point we realised the cache was between us, and there in fact was the right combination of trees. The lid was a little rusted on, but we got it off eventually and signed the log. TFTC

We found it but there was nothing but a note, I'll be sure to put something in with alot of life this time t'was fun
Found it!! The creek has dried up so it was a little difficult to find, but nevertheless fun
We looked for 2 days but did not find TFTC anyway I would like there to be a more useful clue because there were many dead trees close to alive ones that all fitted the clue
I'm just on a quick visit to Springbrook between a split shift at work. Not enough time to do the twin falls circuit nearby but enough time to pop here and have a picnic away from the Eastef crowds!
Thanks for bringing us to a quiet spot. Found the cache without any difficulty and signed the log. All good albeit a little soggy.
TFTC!

I found this last year but had forgotten to log it. I'm not really sure of the date but next time I am up there I shall check. A tiny park near the much much bigger national Park. Definitely signed just not sure when! Thanks King Po.
GPS was going around and around but the clue led us to where we needed to be! TFTC and for bringing us out here
Thanks for this cache awesome little park close to home!
Log was quite soggy - difficult to write on. Will bring a resealable plastic bag to try to keep it dry for future finders.

Tftc. Found it in our Easter break. No idea this park was here until today.
We were up at Springbrook doing some cache maintenance and were excited to see a new cache here. Although we'd explored these little side roads in the past we've never come across this little park before. As we walked towards GZ red browed finches flew around us twittering and a little pademelon hopped away into the bush. Although the Gpsr jumped about a little we thought about the name and soon all was revealed. TFTC King Po.
Well hidden, there are many dead and alive trees, so another hint: these trees are close to the entrance of the path!
Now this is the definition of 'random park'! I was in the area re-looking for a recent DNF and to check out Canyon Lookout. I also remembered this recently published cache. Success all around with two finds and clear weather for some great photos from the lookout. Thanks for the cache. All in good order.
Cheers

**FTF** Joint First to find with Nature0Nut. What an awesome little park. Was a bit sketchy driving up here tonight through the thick cloud cover but made it to the spot and a nice quick find made. Couple of leeches removed and it was off back down the mountain. Thank you for bringing us here. A great little spot. Tftc
Joint **FTF** with Cantcacheus2014. First of all, I absolutely adore this little park! I can only imagine what it would look like during the day time. CCU14 quickly made the find and signed our names and it was a bit after then that we noticed some little hitchhikers! Ahh! Luckily there weren't too many to remove and we got back to driving through the thick cloud cover.. spooky!
Thank you for bringing us out on an adventure. TFTC!
