Day trip to Maryborough with the family and planned on finding a few of the local geos. TFTC
No luck here although we didn't look too hard cos it hasn't been found since the floods.
We checked all the caches including this one after the floods early 2022. They have been found by others since
Day 4 & 5 in Maryborough. We thought we would continue to look around town and spend our time caching here. It didn't quite work out as we thought as there were a number of caches in parks and reserves and we ventured wider as well. A good variety of caches and hides all in generally good condition. We had mixed results on a number of tree fishing attempts. Some we just couldn't spot, others we couldn't reach with our fishing pole. Will have to look at some further modifications when we get home! We did manage to get a couple though!

This cache has disappeared in the February 2022 floods. We will try to replace soon when the Council has finished clearing up the mess.
We went out today to check/replace our 3 caches on the Mary River and Tinana Creek after the major floods earlier this month.
We were absolutely amazed to find all 3 caches still attached to their trees when they had been at least 3 - 4 metres under a raging torrent.
One even had a dry log - try and figure that out! 2 needed replacement logs.
The photo here shows the incredible Mighty Mary raging and the Lamington Bridge completely invisible under the water.

A big morning out on the bike doing most of the Geocaching 101 series. A rest for a few hours and now another quick pedal around.
Took the scenic route to this one, but a quick find once I got there.

TFTC. It has been some time science we originally failed to find this one. Today I (Hans) was returning home from a trip to the big green shed. Decided to pull over and have another go. Walked in from the parking spot and before too long had the cache in hand and log signed. Nice to rectify a blue face
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.

Headed to Hervey bay for my annual pilgrimage to see my daughters on their first day of school for the year. Lucky there's a couple of hundred of caches between Hervey Bay and home.
This was cache **48** of **70** All caches were found with ease and in good condition unless otherwise said, and I thank each of the Cache Owners for placing and maintaing these caches. I apologise for the generic logs, it doen't mean the effort has not gone unnoticed.
Had a 50/50 picking the right tree, picked the wrong one. few thorns but the cache was retrieved

Doing a loop of MB aiming to log the quick one's today, saving the longer ones for another time.
Time for a short walk, almost alone in this park
Thank you for hiding this cache

Found by Mary and David at 12:45. Not much further to walk from our previous find. Two caches for one parking spot is always good value. Enjoyed the walk and River views. So different from Victoria. Our thanks to Stopalot.
We checked the cache today and it is still there, visible if you stand in the right place. The GPS may be a bit wobbly due to the trees.
It's School holidays, so we are on a Caravan trip with our grandaughter. Today we stay in Maryborough for the Mary Poppins Festival.
Later we walked the dolls and grabbed some caches. Thanks to the COs.

Cache wet and mushy. Almost impossible to log. Needs maintenance. Second attempt at this. Need to trust GPS. TFTC
Terrain is now heavily overgrown and log is wet. Will relocate it nearby to a more suitable site as soon as we are able.
First up we found a homemade bong with a pair of stainless steel scissors in a tub nearby, but after a closer look at them, then at the GPS moved away and eventually found the cache. Took a bit of time and we weren't too happy to find the bong

Found with a fair bit of hunched over trudging through spiked vines. Log is damp and needs a replacement
Found at 1:20 PM GAFF2 at a distance of 9 metres into the bush with vines that wanted to strangle us!
Oh my - we struggled big time on this cache [B)] Whenever we see a D/T of 1.0/1.5 we say to ourselves - "We are going to be in a lot of trouble here aren't we" and it is usually because the D/T rating has been under rated. Well it was no different here today. We arrived at the spot just past the bridge and looked at where the GPSr was pointing and then thought - there is no way that this is a T of 1.5. A Terrain rating of 1.5 is typically just off the side of a track, or a bit of a walk across some grassy flat area. Well after finding over 24k caches that is one thing that we have learned.
So after a few minutes with this cache, p-pprass actually pulled the pin and went off looking at interesting car wrecks over the fence, but c-pprass was determined to find the cache and after a bit of rummaging around and going up a steep incline yells out - "Found it!" Well you could have blown be down with a feather (never understood that saying), but anyway I was impressed. We then discussed the actual hide and thought that even the Difficulty rating is not a 1.0 - a tough hide which deserves at least a 2.0.
Thanks Stopalot.
Feedback: We consider that this cache deserves a D/T rating of 2.0/2.0.

Hi there Stopalot.
We cached around Maryborough today before catching up with friends that are house sitting nearby. Our total today was 13 caches & we DNF'd 1. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels as we continue our nomadic wanderings around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 9m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

All caches today were in good order except one which didn't have a container, only a wet log in a plastic bag. SLTFTC
