Any update on this from the CO. It's been offline for a long time now and would be great to see back in the game.
looks like this has been muggled for the 5th time...taking it offline while I figure out what to do. Cheers.
In the city for a conference for a couple of days. I went for a walk at lunch time and ended up here. I was luckily approaching from a convenient angle to spot the cache. Improvised a tool from handy objects and with stealth set to maximum, managed to extract the cache, sign the log and replace it from whence it came, all without incident. TFTC, Biggles.
Found it when coming to pick up cloth. Very interesting hiding. But forgot to take a pen...
Nice cache, and hiding spot. Helped out by kathruuu, who found it earlier.
Scoped out yesterday but too many muggles. Easy grab this morning while out for coffee but proving harder to replace. TFTC
A quick find while on a lunchtime walk. Clever hiding spot. Used our own tool. TFTC
Have also adopted this cache and so went off to find it. BE CAREFUL of the cafe muggles please
Spending the night in Auckland for work so headed out after tea to grab a few caches when it's not so busy. Guessed where this was hidden but had to loiter waiting for a muggle to finish her Phonecall and leave. TFTC
Trying to get a few more of the AFWT series today. Got here early so not too many muggles around which made extraction so much easier. TFTC
St Patrick's Cathedral / AFWT Serie #6 was transferred from 2qt2bstr818 to user bawbaggio
After dropped guests back to their hotel, with a couple of colleagues decided to see if we could find this one. Took a stranger's eyes to spot and poke out with natural tools. Pretty good job for our first timer. TFTC.
Very cool cache, took way too long (looking in way too obscure places). Good times!
a weekend in Auckland and we had to get a few caches in
OMG - yup - right there !!!! - just took awhile to see it

A nice Place! And a nice idea! A lot muggles bitte as tourist with a cam nobody is looking!TFTC
Walking through the area today and checked to see the current status of this one. Noticed it had been replaced - Great. A lot of Muggles on a Saturday afternoon, so did a little Recon, located the cache, but not the tool - Too many Muggles to continue searching. Decided to head down to our destination on Queen St and swing by on the way back. Good Plan... Muggle free, and picked up a natural tool along the way. Cache soon in hand, logged and replaced. TFTC
After getting off bus in Albert street yesterday, I made a quick detour to case out this scene before next bus in Customs St, eyed cache so knew what I was in for, so today another quick detour,
casually walked up put backpack down ( had tool in pocket ready ) coast clear, made the grab, then fumbled around in bag doing deed, then slipped it back,
picked up bag and carried on, enroute to bus, a very quick, nicely executed plan, TFTC

Nice and quiet on ANZAC day morning to attempt a few inner city caches. Soon tracked this one down and only one passing family to worry about.

It was quite busy in the area as Mass had only just finished at the cathedral. Didn't use any tool other than human breath to extract the cache from its hiding place. Our first find in Auckland during a 6 week tour from the U.K. of New Zealand and Australia.
Cool spot around here and awesome view of sky tower. On our 3 day road trip from Hawkes bay to Auckland and back. Great few days to grab a number of caches. Tftc
Was working nearby for the day so decided to slip out, and managed a more straight forward extraction than what I was expecting. *TFTC 2qt2bstr818, #8708*
In Auckland today and tomorrow attending a conference. Popped out to stretch the legs at lunch time and came past gz. Far too many muggles to risk searching but I decided where I should look when I could return. Back just on dusk after the work day had finished and soon saw the cache. Hadn't thought about how to retrieve it though and had no idea where the "tool" was hidden. Improvised on the spot with the thrust technique and soon had cache in hand. Nice hide indeed. +1 from me for the fun and the lovely architecture nearby.
Thanks 2qt2bstr818 for the cache.

We spent some times searching, turning and finally we found this little one!
Thanks for the cache

We came here looking before but it had been muggled! Glad to have found it now!
Clearly a high muggle zone. While looking for the cache were asked by a couple if we were geocaching. We admitted we were and were then introduced to jonashleymcp and family. We managed to locate and extract the cache and log together with our newly introduced geocache friends before we stealthily returned it to its hide.
#111. #33 Auckland. 10 days ago this was the first Auckland cache I'd looked for and only found the tool!. I've not had a chance to properly look although from out of my office window I've been looking down on this one regularly while here. So this morning when noticing the CO log I dashed across the road from my hotel for my last cache in Auckland before heading home tonight. How appropriate! Found exactly where I thought it would be, thankfully I already knew where the tool was. Signed the new log and replaced as found. And, at 6:15am there was already some muggle traffic! 2qt2bstr818, absolute quality caches here in Auckland, some of the best I've seen, much appreciated. 33 cache in 10 days, good fun! TFTCs
Success this time and many thanks for the replacement.
Brought my own tool and the job was done in an flash.
I thought this would have completed the full set for me but another has appeared. Ah, no rest. Tftc.

I replaced the container once again.
It is the fourth time (that is why this time it is a simple one... Don't worth the extra effort), but if it gets muggled once more I will have to archive it...
Please be cautious... It is a high muggle area so stealth is super required!

Missed the first version so had high hopes today, but, found the tool and had a good look for the cache. After a good look, a kindly local came for a chat, indicating where he thought it was, but alas, no sign. Will keep an eye on the logs.
Stopped by for a look but too many muggles about to give this the attention it deserves so did not attempt. Back another time!
After DNFing this one when it had been muggled previously I got a message from the cache owner telling me it was up and running again. I made an effort to go and grab it today on my lunch break to see what the new one was like. Upon arriving at GZ I quickly spotted something unusual, and figured I could actually retrieve it using the tool I already in had in my hand, I was right. Cache retrieved and log signed. Another cool cache in the series. TFTC #534
I looked for the original cache without success, so when the new one came out it had to be top of my list. Arrived at GZ and found a woman standing close to the retrieval tool, so had to wait her out. Then the GPS signal went wonky and placed GZ 50m away in the next block, so had to use my geosnses. Once the tool was retrieved it took a while to figure out its purpose, but everything fell into place when the cache location was found. This gets another fav from me.
We were in town for the Easter Sunday Mass and saw there was a new cache in the area. From our experience caches around here don't seem too have a super long life (although this will hopefully be the exception!), so we made an effort to get it with h.i.pirate. We scoped out ground zero before the Mass but there were too many people around, afterwards was a different story and we easily found the cache. A tool was retrieved from a nearby skip (it was on top) and we soon had the cache in hand. A very nice hide for a city landscape! Thanks for the cache!
As inevitably happens whenever I go visit the beconzes, we had to go find a cache. After waiting for the workers working on the cafe to leave... Which wasn't happening, we used the tool to get the cache out and continue on with the walking trail
arrived at GZ and it wasn't long before the cache was in our hands (We had a bin load of tools to choose from

We loved this. Were hera at night during a beautiful service. The tool teaaly helped. TFTC
Completed the available AFWT Series on a fine Easter Saturday. We must say this cache series is the best we have seen in a long time and shows the considerable effort that has gone in but the CO. Most are very clever and they are definitely not the typical park and grabs we see a lot of these days.
A series of this quality in downtown area is certainly going to make a geo-tourist very pleased.
I see in some of the logs there have been a few problems with Muggles on some but this is probably a likely event is such a public area. We certainly tried to be careful with a lookout as much as we could(Mr and Mrs beconaze).
We are certainly going to dish out a pile of favorite points for you on the series so thanks again for the efforts.

Geocaching venture w/ dark angel after seeing a recent series pop up in the city!
#80 Final one for the day and we knew we had missed a couple, but we'll be back!
Located the tool pretty quick with help from the trusty map and hint, and it only seemed like logic with what to do with it, and it was I who spotted a possible GZ, and, minding the casual muggle skateboarder and family sitting on the steps, I retrieved the cache and signed it away! The CO has definitely done a good job on this series - this series is definitely going as my #1 series to date. TFTC!

Tried as many of these with mikefnz today, these series are definitely my favourite so far. This was a pretty easy cache to get, only problem was just a few muggles passing by but that was it tftc
Lots of muggles - of course - Easter - Catholic mass.... nevermind I don't think we looked too suspicious. GPS was jumping around a lot, but used some common sense to use the clue to find the tool. I was so proud to find that ha ha. THen again some more sense to find the cache. I was so stoked to find this one. It felt like it was going to be difficult, and it could have been. But we found it - yay!!! Thank you, and I lovely night to boot.
Yay !!!!! Love your new cache position ! So rainy that people didn't really notice what I was up to under my umbrella shield !
My phone gps a bit erratic in town by tall buildings...but I just used commensense and found tool and cache easily !
Thanks ! Favourite !

Yay! FTF the new cache (not many people as crazy as me to be out and about on a stormy day like today...
While at work today I noted that this cache had been reactivated. I was too busy to pop out for a look earlier in the day. However, with the work day drawn to a close and I finding myself, once again, in need of catching a bus I thought a detour on the way to Britomart was in order. Once at GZ I quickly spied the hide in the first place I checked. Made one quick attempt at retrieval before deciding to get the tool. Tool was quickly in hand and this yielded the cache in short order. Completed the formalities and put it all back in place. I think this is now the third cache I have found around this spot. Cheers for the cache placement!
Hooray!! Nisibruh and I work in the area and have often though of placing a cache in this spot.. So excited to find it, spent longer looking for the tool but in the end made our own. Thanks so much for the cache, will be a favourite for me personally. Thanks for the background on St Pat's too.
Again on the market!! A brand new cache ready in the area!!

We visited this cache during our trip through out New Zealand!
With our rental car, we explored the north island for 12 days.
NZ is a beautiful country and we really enjoyed our time here.
We hope to return one day and explore a little bit more!
Day 10 - Awanui to Auckland
Today we had a long drive back to Auckland, on the way we did a few stops, and visited some interesting locations.
In the afternoon we visited Auckland's downtown.
This one we didn't find.
Thanks for the cache.

No luck here today. I have been here twice. The GPSr took a while to settle down. I searched the area but came up empty handed. Could not understand the hint.
Cache is gone....
It was well comauflaged.
I doubt it was randomly muggled....
I getting tired of non mindfull geocachers raising curiosity among the muggles...
Will try to replace it soon...

Was here for nearly an hour last night ...and just came back again today as in area.....looked very closely at hint areas....maybe it has dropped off somehow ????
Shame.....don't like to give up..

I searched this morning before I had to head off work then came back on my lunch break. Searching then I ran into alpenmilch80, but between us we still had no luck. I do like this place though so still worth a visit.
Busy service going in today; they were outside the door. Had the iPad which has poor location so glad of the hint
A quick find; spotted this immediately. Not sure how well the rolling will work, the log is already getting a bit munged.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Yay my first ftf. Just pulled it out when teambmmr comes round the corner. A nice easy find, now it's home to finish breakfast and get dressed properly!
Junior cacher R & I had just scoffed down a bacon & egg bap at the Mt Albert farmers market when the cache notification came through. Jump in the car and headed straight here. As we rounded the corner EmCeeKiwi was just retrieving the cache! We signed the log, struggled a little with getting the cache container to stay together when replacing (CO may want to check it).
It wasn't until I got home that I realised we'd probably be back here again this afternoon for the Geocaching Walking Tour
TFTC!

Having attended the walking tour event, ugnz, bertie blowfish and I decided to stop and pick this cache up on our way home. Not too many people around today and another clever hide from the CO. TFTC
Picked up on the way home from the walking tour with bertie and merlot, another creative cache. FP from me.
Our last one for the day, on our way home after Oscar's fabulous Walking Tour Event. Another clever hide, but a quick find thanks to Merlot58's keen eye! Tftc
