What a great spot to walk into. I’m nice here I read logs and found what was the old cache hide but no cache.

13-Nov-19
I forgot to log when I last visited. I was showing Sharongilmore and DevastatorM this awesome place. I have found this before, so knew where to look. Sadly the container mechanism is rusted and broken and no container inside. Over a month ago.

Definitely a fantastic spot!! The spot itself is really well hidden. We would have missed it, if we wouldn’t have been looking for this cache.
So, although we didn’t find it (due to lack of time ) it was absolutely worth coming here .

Thank you so much for showing us this really magical spot.

To tell you the truth I was a little sceptical that there would be anywhere around that lived up to that title but once at GZ I certainly changed my opinion. A well spotted hideaway. The hide was as nice as the place too so definitely gets a favourite Big Grin!

Managed to convince the boy to come with me to this one while girl was at a friends and Mum was in the hills. So glad I did. It's a Nature Playground. Searched the playground for a while until realising it might be further away.

Not only a magical place but a magical cache too. Bonus points for creativity. Loved it. One of the best things about this for me is visiting local places that I never knew about. Thanks.

We headrd out after tea to explore the Taylor River bike track. Mr D considers one bike ride: one cache is the golden ratio, so planned one cache at our turnaround. Got to the sign pointing to the dam, so looked and saw this cache as a point to aim for. A bit of route guesswork but looks like going through the vineyard was okay and hooray, a track to an arboretum. GZ is a bit that way but check this first- found only a painted rock in a nest. So went to GZ and logged a find. Of course tried out the swing too. Great fun

It certainly lives up to its name. I am a kindy teacher so I can just imagine the wee faces of the children as they discover this area and I can imagine the stories and wonder that they children experience here. It surely is a magical spot. Great cache too. Thank you, a fav from me

We are keen geocachers from Tauranga staying with friends and gathering a few smileys as we go. Out on our bikes today, exploring this great area. This one was indeed a nice find, who would guess the outdoor classroom was even there. Dodged a few thistles by coming down a different path. Cache log slightly damp, but OK for signing. Great camo earns a fav from us. TFTC

The name truly says it all and the hide is awesome. Definitely earned it's favorite point. Tftc

Mrs SoBad and her sister were over the hill for shopping - after caching of course. A likely way in was found and Mrs S followed the GPS while her sister read a bit of her book in the car. Lovely spot and not wet enough underfoot for her to even get damp. The places it wouldn't be were quickly eliminated and the cache then quickly found. A few photos taken to show her sister what the spot was like - we would both have gone back if we weren't ready for lunch. An enchantingly magical place as a title has a lot to live up to - and it does.
Last cache for the day and well worth a favourite. Thanks.

Wow! This location was enchantingly magical! It was like straight out of a movie! Very cool to see. On top of that the cache was really awesome too. Took crman1, eltee291 and myself a few minutes to track down the cache but that's good because it gave us more time in this sweet spot! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Canada! Thanks for the amazing cache! A big favorite! Smile

Bit of a tricky find tonight with hingis20 and crman1 but it was well worth it. This place is so awesome, I can see why it is considered magical. Definitely a favourite for me. We decided to head out after dinner and get a few more caches before sunset. Visiting Blenheim, NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC

Had some time available on the way north to Picton today so decided to go via Taylor's Pass and score the new caches published since I was last along this way. Found fairly quickly and no problems avoiding getting damp feet. Nicely made and concealed container! Signed log, TFTC

Out with TaybeeDragon just before the nearby event started. I am working on my two-days, getting them up to three, except there are loads of caches about, so I am doing two a day. Today's are this and the event. Yup, this is a pretty amazing place. I noticed the loop track is not marked on the map, so I plotted it out on the GPS and will add it later today.
Got to the hide from the wrong direction - managed to cross the boggy bits without getting my feet went. The Dragon decided to be all practical and sensible, and walk all the way around the boggy bit. And still beat me to the other side!

20-Aug-16
Grabbed this while attending a geo-event...we like this sort of cache...a bit extra thought and skill added to the hide, well done team Walker, thanks.

Here with the Seagnoid for Capperz event today but arrived early to find a few of the nearby caches. This place is enchanting. I love the tree. A bit boggy in places so I took the long way round. Love the swings. The Seagnoids find in a cute hidey hole. Cheers

We needed a cache that received in excess of 10 fav points and with Blenheim the most favorable destination weather-wise we made the most of it. We had the misconception that there was a loop track but that didn't make a difference. GZ and its immediate surrounds sure is a children's paradise. With all the rain it was a bit soggy underfoot but we were not going to be denied. A magnificent feature got our undivided attention but only for a moment. The GPS suggested otherwise. While I looked at the wrong place as per usual Holymu came up with the prize. Sorry, but I can only give one fav. Thank you Team Walker NZ

With a souvenir on offer this weekend we had limited choices of which caches to target. There were several solved puzzles as well as two caches offering the 10+ favourite points and this coupled with the best weather forecast made us choose Marlborough in the end.
And this was our first choice for a cache to earn the souvenir. As we wandered toward the cache area we were surprised to see the large open space which was for some reason quite unexpected, but then we've never been here before either. Soon enough we found the enchanted magical place and the hunt was on. Before we made things too difficult for ourselves we thought maybe we should believe the GPS and search that area before we did anything else. The cache was found in a flash, and the reason for all the favourite points was obvious. Here's another one.
Thank you Team Walker NZ.

Really a magical place Smile

A day off work with perfect weather meant a day trip to Blenheim to go and find some caches. After a walkabout in the hills there was time for a few more caches before I had to head for home. Wow about 5.5 years since I found the other cache in the domain. Circled round GZ and found a good way into it. Aaah now that's a clever cache. TFTC, Biggles.

Enjoyed the short walk. Nice hide.
Less magical in winter than in summer I imagine.

Our third attempt/visit at this beautiful location and we found it (ably assisted by Maikenkids!). Very clever cache and a truly awesome spot, thank you!

Being familiar with this enchantingly magical place already, I was pretty excited when TeamWalkerNZ announced a new cache here. Then I didn't have time to get it... for aaaages.... but finally, a free Saturday. We headed up with Annacon whose previous attempts to find it had been thwarted by the lack of phone reception. I cruised around for a bit waiting for the GPS to settle... then saw something that did not belong (besides the rubbish we picked up). Another great TeamWalkerNZ classic which even got the kids away from the other child attraction in the place. Tftc!

Over in Blenheim for a couple of nights to see the new niece. Snuck off this morning for a few caches while the women of my family clucked. A quick find once I got close. A really nice area.
Thanks Team Walker NZ for the cache.

Difficult to find. Not quite what I was expecting to find.
Don't need to walk through blackberry vines.

Out and about with Kiwimykl attempting to clear as many of the local caches that I can. KM has most of these already which gives me an advantage but that was no help here as it was a new one for him. After chasing a wandering needle around the compass c:geo finally settled on an area and after a short search KM found what he was looking for.

I must say, what an extremely well executed cache container in an enchantingly magical place, worthy of a FP

I noticed a run of new e-mails on my phone as I was finishing up work for the day, and there was a new cache notification amongst them, a quick glance at the distance indicated it was a likely *FTF* candidate, so I checked it out and sure enough no logs yet and relatively close. The other geocachers were all out of the building attending to other matters, so I flicked out a quick text to see if they had headed off to look for it. The reply was no, not yet. I headed to the nearby carpark and noticed a vehicle I suspected belonged to another of the regular Blenheim local cachers, and awaited the arrival of Capperz. Once he was on location we were looking at a likely 2TF, as Dieseldebbie had beaten us to the area. We called out and got a reply from her and the kids, and soon established that they were still hunting for it. with more sets of eyes on the job, and a good solid GPS signal to GZ on my phone I tracked down the elusive cache. What a great hide, nice to see a well designed and hidden cache. This one definately gets a Favourite point from me. Great to share the find with Dieseldebbie, Capperz, 1Cat lover.nz and Cool ball, sorry Raisinpig, you were just a little too late.
This really is a nice sheltered magical area, thanks Team Walker NZ for bringing us here. This keeps my First to find streak going for another month. (FTF) {FTF}

Was a bit slow off the mark as I was waiting on a delivery at home so couldn't leave as soon as the notification beeped at me.
GH6710 did give me some warning he was heading in that direction - but I went late anyway.
Parked at the wrong spot and quickly saw my error.... Reparked and ran into another of the FTFers
So a 2TF not too bad - only a few minutes behind... Cool cache and a big FP from me. Just beware of the raspberry vines - I came at the cache from the wrong direction - there is a much better way.

[Purple] The kids didn't want to geocache, they did get out of the car and we're throwing stones into the slimey water. When I discovered the enchantingly magical place, I called them over to check it out. They were equally impressed! As we searched, I heard my name being called, it was GH6710 and Capperz, they joined in the search, it took a bit of a look around, and I had come in passed this way- getting prickles in my feet, GH6710 soon had it in hand. Cool container too! I like it when thought goes into the container too. Worthy of a fp from me! Joint ftf with GH6710, Capperz, cool ball and 1cat lover.nz. Tftc.

The beep on a new notification eluded me as I had an important appointment with someone and didn't check my phone. A follow up text from G H 6 7 1 0 did get my attention and as I was already at home, next to the car and with a little time on my hands I was up for a joint F T F chase. Arriving at the Taylor dam area I espied G H waiting and we headed o the little parking place together. Also spotted the car of dieseldebbienz so prepared to come in in second place, silver medal position.
We headed along the path using G H's phone as my own refused to get signal and play the game. Getting closer to G Z we heard sounds of others and called out to the treasure seekers and soon spotted ddnz, coolball and 1catlover searching the large feature. Knowing these hiders are known for clever hides and manufacture. . . . . . . . . didn't help at all and we set to search. Eventually we widened the search and G H came up trumps. A cleverly constructed cache, worthy of a special F P to recognize the craftsmanship, long may it continue.
