Thursday evening saw me having a quick trip to Dunedin and then reversing the trip to go back home. This is one of the stops made homeward. Have been meaning to go for this one for some time. After a good search with torchlight on a freezing night had to move on to hopefully greener pastures.
Quick find after getting beaten by waitaki boys high school. I struggled to get the logbook out as I don't usually need tweezers. Today it would have been helpful.

.Thanks for bringing us to this plaque. But this place is now a rubbish tip. No time for a CITO today. This one is now tagged. Lets roll out of here. Cheers
Its Wednesday 24 April and we are off exploring Milburn, Lawrence and Lake Mahinarangi today. Awesome!!
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Started off, like many others, on the wrong side of the fence, but soon worked out where we went wrong. Nice plaque, fitting topic for a geocache, but the place is a rubbish dump. Perhaps most of it is just wind blown, but it did make this a fairly unpleasant experience.
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

Always good to celebrate these sorts of anniversaries but boy does the area need to be cleaned up - lots of broken glass around. As for the cache - what a tricky one that was to find.
Started looking on wrong side of fence. Also needed to wait until the council rubbish collector muggle had departed. Even then took a little searching. TFTC
Last weekend before high school goes back... so any excuse is a good one, to head off the main road into the wilderness to find us some caches.
Early start to head home to carry on with jobs that need done.

After a long hot week and the last weekend of the school holidays we decided a road trip was in order so where to go.?????
After a early morning start to pick up a cache or two as we head for home.
A quick park and grab as we head for home no muggles around first thing on a Sunday morning quickly spotted and log signed.

We are on our summer holiday driving around the South Island with no real idea of where we will end up each day. We are often drawn to an area that has the potential to give us a few geocaching smilies and somewhere we have not spent time exploring before. In some cases we are revisiting placed that we have been before but liked so much we are going there again.
What a funny place to have put the plaque. The cache was not in the first or the second place I looked but I did find it higher than I originally was searching, the log signed and we returned it as we found it.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Parked near the swimming pool then realised I was on the wrong side of the stream. Got there in the end . Tftc
Easy find. Weird place for a plaque.. and maybe there was room for a bigger cache nearby too, but hey =)

Today we made a trip from Dunedin via Milton, Balclutha, and the Catlins to finally Invercargill, visiting some new sightseeing locations and looking for old caches. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was warm in the morning and in the afternoon, but no rain at all.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to cat_e_bear for showing us this location and for the fun we had at 150 Years.. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

last time I was here the was a full blown rugby game going on and it was impossible to search properly today I didn't have that problem so it was a quick grab TFTC
Scribbled my name on a full log book. I didn't completely unroll the log, but both sides of it are written on.
An icecream and toilet stop 150 metres away, so of course we strolled over the bridge and looked at this rather uninspiringly-placed monument. The cache hide area was similarly uninspiring... after finishing the icecream, looked in the two possible sports and extricated one of those jolly nanos... hate rolling up the logsheets again...
Our second attempt at finding this s one and this time success!! Apparently leaving Dad behind is what helps . TFTC!
These little blitters are very testing at times, a bit lucky today and a quick find and sign thanks cat_e_bear
I didn't take the correct entry point to start with but once there the tiny beast was discovered. Thanks for the cache cat_e_bear.
Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots. many thanks the cache - Bitsprayer
A walk and then the realisation of where we needed to be, a quick retrace of our steps and Bitsprayer diplayed his prowess.
Thanks

Took 45min and we’d all but given up. Stopped and read the comments again and gave it one last go before we went home. Did a dance in the rain because we FOUND IT. Kids think I’m nuts
Was right on top of it but couldn't find. Found the plaque and looked on all corners and surrounds.
Once I was on the correct side of the fence, a fairly quick find. Log is wet. I wrote GW, but because of the wet log, my writing was mostly illegible. TFTC cat_e_bear.
Out and about enjoyed trips down memory lane from our times living in the south.
Quick find but log is mush TFTC.

#14657. Troodles didn't like where we had parked, and then didn't like being on the wrong side of the fence, and would have been happy to leave this one. However, I strode out purposefully to get to GZ second time round, and we managed to track it down. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on day 5 of our road trip to the Oamaru Geofest, taking the scenic route, of course. Today we are travelling from Invercargill to Dunedin, via the Catlins.
We first found ourselves on the wrong side of the fence, once that was sorted, the cache was a quick find. Unable to sign log book as sodden, took photo instead. TFTC.

A very wet day - - - water everywhere, but a brief break in the weather saw us dashing across from the road, chasing a smilie. It took a little while to track down the cache even though we had a good idea what we were looking for. Unfortunately the log was too fragile to handle so we couldn't sign it. Thanks for the hide though .
Having seen a few containers like this in the past it was a quick find. New logsheet but it is already a bit damp.
A quick find but we're unable to log as it wouldn't come out! Convoy teammate will post photo as proof. Tft
A quick find on road trip north to Canada day event. Couldnt extract log so took photo.
Found on a drizzly morning traveling up in a convoy on the way to Dunedin for an event. We tried to extract the log, but it's damp and threatened to fall to pieces, not sure we would have got it back in even if it did come out ok. We have taken a picture of it instead, hopefully this is ok. TFTC
Found on a miserable morning on our way to Dunedin for a meet. Couldn't get log out to sign. Team mates took photo for us. TFTC
Felt so silly that it took me three goes to find this cache. But glad to be able to tick it off. Paper a bit wet but signable.
A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches around Milton. Was a neat wee hide this one and an easy find. TFTC

Cache soon found without a problem, thought we ought to find this one as yesterday we were at a nearby cache when a local cacher drive up and said hello, and also recommended this cache - so here we are!! Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer to help her celebrate taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

out with Red Roaming on our journey around New Zealand. Log signed with our initials or full caching names.
We had been told about this cache by a cacher who we briefly met yesterday, so as we were passing we stopped to find it.

I'm on a south island tour on my recumbent bike and stayed at the Gore Motor Camp last night. Staying at the nearby motor camp today. TFTC.
Good place to stretch the legs. Found the nano and SL our initials. The log is chocker-full. TFTC
Hurray! It's a wily fisherman's not-a-nano! These are cute and catch out many peeps in the right hide. This one was an easy find with the hint. We used a TOTT and procured the full log and squeezed our initials somewhere. LVLWM_ TFTC A little something to remind us of OF even if his Terminus cache has been buried.
Park and grab, sat for a while watching the traffic go past. Used to play rugby here growing up, and attended a lot of the show days. TFTC
Day # 2 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today the journey took me southward from Dunedin to Invercargill and Bluff . Took a detour to cover more caches on the route
Mission accomplished!
At the end of the busy day I arrived in Bluff after driving approximately 300 km with my cute little green car and had happily collected 28 caches on the route and in Buff [^].
What a nice coincidence .
As I was looking for the hidden treasure, a sympathetic lady approached me - the owner of the cache.
So with her individual help it was not a big deal to find the tricky and nicely hidden container close to the memorial plaque. [^]
Hey - New Zealand, you have awesome caches [^] [:X]! Almost all in great shape. [^]
So special thanks to the Owner [:X] [:X] for hiding, maintaining and guiding. [^]
Cheers from Germany

Once we got the right side of the fence this was an easy find. Then I lost my small blue geocaching backpack with all my swaps and gear in. We retraced all our steps around town but no luck. My only hope is that another cacher has found it. Tftc
Quick find once we got to the right side of the fence. Here with HennyGeo on holidays from Vancouver Island Canada in scenic New Zealand . TFTC
Somehow we made this one harder than it should have been. Ended up using the PAF option and were given a nudge in the right direction. Cache was then quickly found and signed. No issues with the container not opening or issues getting the logbook out.
A real good one but we couldn't open it although we spent quiet of time. I took a picture if needed I can send it. TFTC it was fun zey & Lana
Mr b made a very quick find. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc cat_e_bear. Find # 3794
In Dunedin for a short work visit and had some time today to find a few caches. Decided to head south to claim our southern most cache and then work my way back towards the airport. Weather was a bit patchy but found some fine spells between showers to gab a few caches. Nice hide here, enjoyed exploring Milton, thanks for hiding these caches cat e bear!
Out today to get a few caches around the taieri plains. Views are amazing. Thank you to all for the caches
I really couldn't get a good fix that married with the hint. and i ran out of time.
Second time looking for this one and with a lot more experience it was a quick find. TFTC
Nice work community on the building, well done to them. We started on the wrong side having approached from the south so spent a few minutes fossicking around before realising our mistake. Cheers
Doh, wrong side of the fence. 5 minutes later, success. Thanks for the stop.
Found with Kiwi Moose as we headed back to the airport and points North.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Would've been a lot quicker if I'd come in from the right side but made it a long walk instead. All good in the end. TFTC #8895
