Tftc. Another change in the forest type along this trail. Found with red_ear_slider
What an opportunity, to go for a walk in the National Park on a beautiful morning and log some caches. Perfect timing to tag along with the CO for any maintenance requirements. Talk about a guaranteed find. Woohoo!!!
Took a little bit to find however once found log was damp, CO replaced log, hopefully it will stay dry now. Not seen another on the trail yet so glad there were 2 of us here. TFTC

With out my missus knowing what the cache was called or any details, she went in looking and got a little scare, I cracked up at this one, tftc
Found our friend here and replaced log with a dry one. Otherwise it’s all good here. TFTC
We were wandering along the track talking about terrain 5 caches (as you do). Log was too wet to sign here, almost too wet to roll up and get back into the container. Love the local grass trees standing sentinel here. Are they a different species or just really old ones to have such long trunks. Tftc
Cute cache container, but the log was wet and started falling apart when I was rolling it back up. If the CO wants to see a photo, I have one.

I took one look at the hill from the carpark, and let MrT head off on the walk to Green Island Lookout on his own! He did a short detour to find this cache. Cute container. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Found it, log very wet, so geo hubby is replacing it with a dry one. TFTC can see the se from here
Found this cache looks like The Guardian of the cash may have wet himself? log was a little bit damp. so we helped him empty his bladder! Left him a bit of fresh paper, signed it now headingfor the last in the trail
Thanks for maintaining the cache

On my way to meet up with geoBuddies to spend the long weekend in SWR. After 5 hours in the car, I was keen to grab some fresh air and a cache or two. After checking out the light house, took the opportunity to do the Smoky Cape Nature Trail thinking I could finish it in an hour. Absolutely loved the walk, but some of the finds were tricky and took a while to find.
My phone wanted me 5-10m down the hill where there were plenty of objects to match the hint. In the end, turns out that I never needed to leave the trail. Log was extremely soggy but managed to add my name with felt tip pen. Sun starting to get low. Will I have enough light to finish the trail???

The log here was way to wet to sign.
Fortunately I had a piece of paper in my pocket to write my log.

Log book totally saturated but love the camp. Haven’t signed... hoping when the logbook dries out it’ll be semi intact.
Found with nissan 65.walking from the gaol to the lighthouse today. Thankyou for the cache .Cache in great condition . Love the guardian
Found with cullum68 while walking from gaol to the lighthouse thank you for the cache like the guardian
We found that the scenery was very pleasant between #2 and #4. Another nicely hidden caches with accurate coords. TFTC
Haven't forgotten, still waiting for a replacement camo. However, due to the fire situation on the north coast all NSW NP's are temporarily closed so am unable to access this cache for the time being. Will attend to it as soon as I can
Gotcha !!! Logging with CO's OK. Soon to be checked by CO.A Fav. Pt. from me today. I enjoy the walk , even though I was on my own. Visited TBs and GCs.. TFTC
Found at 11.45am. This walk winds around the ridges and gullies which are very pleasant to view. Found in the first place we looked. Logbook is soaked and almost unusable. A great walk. Thanks K&M
Couldn’t find it for a good reason. There has been a bit of a problem with some trees. I think one has recently fallen over in the area of the cache. Could the owner of Lizards Gizard please come and check the cache is still where it should be.
Found after some searching
Recent downed trees have been cut up and it's a bit of a mess but cache is still accessible

A day of caching around South West Rocks, targeting caches with a T rating of 2.0 or higher.
This trail was the main attraction for today, a very enjoyable walk which we completed in a tad over 2 hours.
This one was nice and straightforward, another great camo, coords spot on.
Thanks for the cache

The whole geo-family did the Smoky Cape walk today in beautiful conditions, the kids enjoyed this one more than the beach walk yesterday, probably on account of the lack of soft sand and more shade.... Six caches and back to the car in 3 hours, not bad with our 5yo in tow. We only needed two band-aids, so we'll call it a success! Thanks very much bobbiesgirl - we had a great morning.
We arrived at a lovely spot among the grass trees, with the GPS indicating 15m down the hill..... While it rebooted, I fired up Cachly, and with the help off its offline database quickly navigated back to the cache - another find for Samuel.

Once again the co-ordinates were spot on which made for a quick find. Woah! that is an accurate cache name! TFTC bobbiesgirl.
Out with the garbageman and his family walking from gap breach car park to smokey cape lighthouse finding all these caches along the way. Found quickly. TFTC
Out on an afternoon walk with my family and Orrsome’s. we parked on gap beach road at the top of the hill and walked across to the lighthouse and car shuffled to get back. A very easy walk along the ridge line doing it this way great for the kids - and they liked the containers. Some nice views too.
This one was a great little container. Kids loved it. Even took a photo with it on their heads. TNLN TFTC

Don't you just love it when a cache is where it's supposed to be. Makes finding the little blighters so much easier.thanks again bobbiesgirl for another cache and smiley. tnln sl
We dropped Bill & Gloria off to walk the trail, they took the wrong track initially & had to make their way up a steep bush bash to get back on track. Mike & I only had to make sure that we were at the designated pick up spot on time.
Bill enjoyed the walk & the different hides & to give each one a favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache bobbiesgirl

After this morning's debacle with malfunctioning GPSrs and poor phone reception we returned to the opposite end of this series by car this afternoon after completing the Borefield.
The initial part to reach the trail from the parking point was a bit of a steep climb that had us puffing but then the trail proper from then on was a really pleasurable walk largely following the hill contours.
GZ was not far from the joining point but on arrival the GPSr was all over the place. By chance I looked in a likely place while it was still telling us we were 25 metres away and came up with the cache. A clever and quite audacious hide! Well done.

A beautiful day for a great walk, even if it is a little rough for little (4 year old) legs, who was being carried most of the way now. One more piece of rubbish picked up on this section.

Parked at the gap beach 2wd car park and nearly baulked at the hill in front of us but after a short but quite steep climb the rest of the track to smokey cape light house was pretty easy.
Accurate co - ords made for a quick find, chuckled at the camo.

The GPS was all over the place and was still 19m to go when I found this one.
It had settled to 3m by the time I signed and replaced it.

We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Found by Pat & Cheryl at 12:32 pm. Thanks for bringing us to this great location and helping us to increase our tally. Really enjoyed this cache bobbiesgirl and this is #939 so far for us.
Found at 5:25 PM GAFF1 in the company of Team Nurse Hayley.
We were going to leave these two caches for another time because we were quite tired and we were nearly out of water - it was very hot and humid today. However after just a few minutes in a cool air conditioned car we came good again and so we drove to the other end of the trail and off we went. A bit of a steep climb which was expected as that is the route I took to go to the Green Island View cache a couple of years ago. Got to GZ in no time and then started to look for the camo. Found a very likely spot, but it was so fragile that we were hesitant in moving any of the vegetation. Eventually we tried the most simple of spots and there it was - just sitting there staring at us. Fantastic - just one to go and it is on the way back!
Thanks bobbiesgirl.

parked the car at the bottom of the hill and we just looked at the steepness of what we had to walk... well out we got and away we went. at GZ, i was quite out of breath by this point ( thanks to my dodgy lung) but soon recovered. haha this one was right under our noses, very cool cache and hide, certainty the right place for it.
yay one more to go TFTC bobbiesgirl
