Found with Portstevo quickly, this guy's a little worse for wear but still friendly and didn't bite! What a lovely hike it's been, now for another attempt at #3
What an opportunity, to go for a walk in the National Park on a beautiful morning and log some caches. Perfect timing to tag along with the CO for any maintenance requirements. Talk about a guaranteed find. Woohoo!!!.
I really had to overcome my phobia on this one which I located once I was prompted to remember the hint - I am such a woos!!
TFTC bobbiesgirl. Fav
And after seeing no one on the walk in we lost count of hikers we passed on the way out. Great spot.

After picking a few leeches off us just before this cache. Geo son was reluctant to place his hand in here to retrieve container. So a bit of manoeuvring with a stick and he had the container with no extra critters attached. TFTC. Lovely up on the ridge. Just a pity it was raining today-got a good view of the clouds though.
Lucky last and there were hordes of people streaming past while we were signing the log. Great trail Bobbie's girl hope you place more along the way. Tftc
Thanks for placing this series. We continued along doing the loop to get back to the car. I’m glad there were other groups of people as they had taken a wrong turn and had to come back. I was the decoy whilst signing duties were being done

Another critter has disappeared. Replaced and relocated slightly with a new hint and updated coords.
Signal bouncing around a bit to much for this one and the leeches and ticks wanted to play with us so we scadaddled pretty quickly!!
Looking everywhere possible, in blackstumps, undergrowth, under rocks etc. couldn’t find the spider
While I looked at the hill from the carpark, MrT walked to Green Island Lookout on his own! Found this cache along the way. Glad it wasn't real! Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Last of of the trail and yuck lol!’not a fan of hairy legs thank you for the trail caches, a fav for the nature trail. Now we are going for your beach cache TFTC
So that's the last in this nature trail, and we've had a real nature day: Started off almost stepping on a massive red belly black, then we saw a big pod of dolphins and finishing it off with something hairy with long legs, that I'd rather not meet.
Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot, we enjoyed your trial. Great views from this spot.
Fav for the trail

On my way to meet up with geoBuddies to spend the long weekend in SWR. After 5 hours in the car, I was keen to grab some fresh air and a cache or two. After checking out the light house, took the opportunity to do the Smoky Cape Nature Trail thinking I could finish it in an hour. Absolutely loved the walk, but some of the finds were tricky and took a while to find.
Thankfully this was one of the quicker finds. Sun getting lower...

I started this trail by doing the two at this end.
When I first uncovered the cache, I thought the guardian might be alive!
The cache and log are in perfect condition.

We approached the dark place and Sue looked but couldn't reach the camo. Dan got his arm in the back window and was directed as to where and what to grab. What a team. "Now you have it in your hand." Then Dan pulled his arm out the window and looked. Nerves of ...... He survived the heart attack. Lol. TFTC bobbiesgirl

A day of caching around South West Rocks, targeting caches with a T rating of 2.0 or higher.
This trail was the main attraction for today, a very enjoyable walk which we completed in a tad over 2 hours.
Coords led us straight to a very likely hiding spot, a sift through some of the natural camo revealed the cache.
Thanks for the cache

Find #1775
The whole geo-family did the Smoky Cape walk today in beautiful conditions, the kids enjoyed this one more than the beach walk yesterday, probably on account of the lack of soft sand and more shade.... Six caches and back to the car in 3 hours, not bad with our 5yo in tow. We only needed two band-aids, so we'll call it a success! Thanks very much bobbiesgirl - we had a great morning.
We found the hairy little fellow pretty quickly, the GPS was sharp as a tack here....

Irrespective of hints or how sure you are of what it's going to be, MrsG just can't retrieve a hairy legs cache with gay abandon. Glad to get our name in the log and get it back! As we'd already found the Green Island cache we retraced our steps back to the Lighthouse car park. An enjoyable series of fun containers and lovely bush trail. TFTC and the series bobbiesgirl.
Out on an afternoon walk with my family and Orrsome’s. A fun walk for a quick find. TNLN TFTC
Out with the garbageman and his family walking from gap breach car park to smokey cape lighthouse finding all these caches along the way. Found quickly. TFTC
Fittingly another heart starter for my 1000th cache!
I'll ponder a bit now on the way back after celebrating with my last half mouthful of water!
FP of course for this and the series.

All done and dusted. Mrs oz appears on the horizon. she is a strange red colour. Don't know why, it's not like she did much. I had all the pressure of being in the correct spot to pick them up, then wondering if i had it correct. Just another stressful day in SWR. Thanks for all the hides you have placed in this area, awesome job young lady. sl tnln, fav for trail
We dropped Bill & Gloria off to walk the trail, they took the wrong track initially & had to make their way up a steep bush bash to get back on track. Mike & I only had to make sure that we were at the designated pick up spot on time.
Bill enjoyed the walk & the different hides & to give each one a favourite point.
We were on time & chatted while we waited. Eventually we heard a whistle from the direction of the track to see our intrepid hikers comming towards us. Well done Gloria & Bill

We backtracked from #3 after doing the first two this morning from the lighthouse end and headed towards this one.
This is a well formed trail through some interesting bushland with occasional glimpses of the coast. Most enjoyable!
Armed with the hint we made a quick find on approaching this one. Very similar to a hide we have at home on one of our caches.
Thank you for a great series on a really interesting walk. We strongly recommend it.
No time to continue on to Green Island. It will have to wait for another time.

There are few caches out there that try to make you jump and this is the first one where I actually pulled my hand back.
Knew it was coming but in the surroundings it is just perfect.

Coming to the end of CITO Event, and all of three pieces of rubbish picked up along this track. I had picked up a lot more at the car park - and heaps 'in town', so the trip was certainly NOT wasted!
When I go geocaching and place (often manually) the geocache on the Rino650 I have the Name, Size, Type, and Ratings and obviously the coordinates, so it was no great surprise that we were laughing when the cache was found @ 1115, GAFF1 yet again, as the coordinates were good. Dry and intact. Will add a photo of the cache to one of the Trackables that I brought along - but which one of the x 30 !?!
I will be able (again) to bookmark this for the Challenging Cache elective #4, with this being #395, of the x 400 required, subsequently (to logging this LATE - 27/7) I have found at least another one.
Through for mileage: 12-12-12 Multi Event - Auckland, New Zealand; 15 Years of Geocaching 2000-2015 Geocoin; 2014 Geocaching NSW geocoin; 3.1415 Pi & Ice Cream Slice; 3Brothers-NSW; Auckland NZ '13; Bridge2Bridge Travel Ingot; Cache Critters - Baa, Neigh, & Oink Geocoins; CII-35Z; CITO - Upper Swan, and Beyond; Discover Me & Animals: GCookie; Flash Mob XII GCookie Geocoin; G Cookie Earth Cache 10 Year Celebration Coin; Geo-NSW 2015 Waymarks coin; GCookie FIZZY coin; GeoNSW 2016 Geocoin; Hello Cocky TB; IconicBridges2012; Kengu; NZ Mega 13; NZ Mega 2013 Spare Key; NZ Mega Auckland 2013 Signature Trackable; Oz Mega 2014 GCookie; Qld Mega 2015 GCookie coin; Spindoc Bob & Friends Coin; Suzie@2431; and Transaustralia.

The final to a great series and enjoyable walk. Yet again... eeewww!!! We didnt find too much trash on our cito adventure which was a nice change. A very looked after trail. Thank you for these caches and the adventure. TFTC.
Cache has been replaced and is good to go again. Please ensure you replace the camouflage as you find it .
After not finding this the first time, I logged a message with the CO to confirm I was in the correct spot. After the CO visited the cache and confirmed that 'Hairy Legs' had been eaten and I was at the correct GZ. Although I didnt sign the log, the CO confirmed my find after confirmation that the container had been muggled by some natives A great series and one I would recommend to anyone visiting SWR and Hat Head national park. Thanks to the NPWS for allowing this series in the national park. Didnt SL, TNLN and Thanks for the Cache!
The rest while signing the log of this one was welcome after the steep hill I just came up.
Cute little fellow.
