Found on dusk with the help of a torch and a million moths. Signed and returned. Tftc!
We have travelled from Sydneys Northern Beaches to Lithgow for a short (four day) caching holiday, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Lithgow Tourist & Van Park. Planning on exploring areas around Hartley, Bowenfels, Marrangaroo, Lithgow, Clarence, Newnes Junction, and Dargan, with a pre-booked visit to the Zig Zag Railway on Saturday morning, and a visit to the Glow Worm Tunnel at Newnes on Sunday.Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, a SideTracked MultiCache, and some of the many Traditional & Multi caches that have appeared since our last visit to the area in 2015. Will be stopping at Mount Victoria and Blackheath, on Mondays return journey to Sydney, for some more previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches and a five stage Adventure Lab, and maybe an EarthCache. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today (day 1) we travelled from Sydney to Lithgow via the Great Western Highway and Victoria Pass, stopping briefly for some caches along the way, with a longer stop at historic Hartley Village for some caches and a visit to Corneys Garage antique shop. This was the 13th of 14 finds for the day (day 1), and 13th find of the holiday. This one was next, parking the geomobile right alongside the cache, then heading over to GZ for a nice quick find. Signed the log, swapped some trinkets, then replaced as found. We remember finding a "Historic Woolen Mills" cache here way back in 2015, so guess this must be a re-listing. TFTC Joshwa27.Find #7090
I brought some muggle friends here and I think they were expecting to see a structure! But the cache was found quickly and we enjoyed imagining the history of the mill.
Find# 11569Nice quick find.Travelling for work affords us the opportunity to find the occasional cache along the way. TFTC *JOSHWA27* 22 July 2024
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Wet logbook so we photo it.
02/03/2024Jai,Sam,Addy,Kyle,Dad Found quick by Jai who seems to have the eye for it !!
Easy find. Thought we were in the wrong place what a fantastic bit of history. TFTC. We put our purple spider in it as it matches the container!
Find#5712Nice hiding place What a nice road trip to Sydney and surrounds on the way to Bathurst Thanks for the cache
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there. Thanks Joshwa27 for the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Found the container open and no log so replaced and signed found with team lewin

Headed to the Blue Mountains this evening, so took the opportunity to stop and search for a cache along the way. I was initially a little concerned with all the houses here and no real reason to be parked at GZ, but fortunately the cache was quickly found.

Noticed this cache on the map and was more intrigued with the historic mill, so ventured down Tweed Road for a look. Whilst here grabbed the cache. With the cache in hand, we signed the log before replacing as found. Thanks for the cache *JOSHWA27*.

Accidentally arrived to a wedding in Lithgow a day early, so I decided to collect some geocaches around. After a series of DNF it's nice to finally find some. Anyway, don't bother going to the mills. It's only the chimney
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW and grab some old caches. TFTC.
Nice quick find.

Yes! After so much bad luck over last several days we have success
Cache in excellent condition

First to sign the new logbook.
Picked up a squashed, broken sistema…assume it’s the old one.
And we saw the tall chimney through the trees. Assume it’s a woollen mill relic?

We've come out to Bathurst for the weekend for a mini geo-holiday, with the focus mainly on collecting a bunch of pre-solved puzzle caches. Thankfully day 2 of our expedition is a little warmer. After a delicious and hearty breakfast with Team Canary, Its_Dozzie and GGCoconut, we set about collecting the remaining caches on our target list around Bathurst before caching our way back home. All in all, it has been a successful and enjoyable weekend with great company. Stopping in Lithgow to refuel before the final drive home, I figured why not try and find a cache while we are here. Perhaps a bit of tiredness and cache blindness but didn't manage to spot this one. Thanks anyway!

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Bathurst for a 9 day holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback Camper Trailer at the Bathurst NRMA Big4 Caravan Park, and plan to collect some caches & Adventure Labs in the Bathurst and surrounding areas. Stopped off in Lithgow, on our way to Bathurst, to collect a few caches and to have a go at the new Adventure Lab at Blast Furnace Park.
This was our first cache stop since leaving home, but sadly it wasn't to be our first cache find. Arrived at the cache location and was blocked from reaching GZ by a fence & construction site. GZ was 40 metres away on the other side of the fence, and there appeared to be no way around the fence without doing something illegal, so we had to give it up and move on. Cache should really be disabled if GZ is not "legally" accessible.

Second find out of 2, having not done caching for quite a while. Still got it.
We moved back to our van full time just few days ago and decided to head back to Blue mountains first thing. Easy find, thank you for the cache!

A quick find with Rama497 as we made our way out west to tackle more of The Road Less Travelled Series. Thanks.

Needs a little maintenance because paper is rotting but a cute cache! The smell of the sewer is quite something though.
It's there and log in very bad state... And near full
Just on holidays grabbing a few... Tftc

This one eluded us, given the history of it I feel it may have been lost to time.
Found this one on our second attempt... phew, so glad to finally tick this one off.
Day 13. Trip from Bright in Victoria to Brisbane, Queensland can be rather boring, so we cache as we go. We are still in Lithgow, have been for a few days. We had a visit from muggle family from Sydney, so have kept our caching to a bare minimum, but caching to keep our current streak alive.
Today we visited the Historic Woollen Mills. Interesting story. Quick find. Cache log I wet, but we were able to leave our mark. Thanks Joshwa27

Arrive at GZ and commence my search and JBT nonchalantly wanders up and says got it. Beaten that time.

I abandoned my last attempt at this cache as there was a work crew pumping out the adjoining sewage facility. No problems today and I signed the damp and full log after a short search.
Oldmorty and I had a couple of hours to fill in before the Lithgow Halloween. Thanks for your history puzzles and TFTC. Thanks also to blissbaby for your attention to detail.
After finding a couple of the CO's history puzzle caches, frazeydaze and I had to fill in some time before grandchildren arrived from Bathurst for the Halloween festivities at Ligthow. Here we searched high and low and were about to give up when frazeydaze read the log of Blissbaby and after a fair bit of gardening we had CIH. TFTC Joshwa27.
