Found on our way back to Hobart after camping out at Boltons Green Campground in Southwest NP at Cockle Creek for the night. Thanks for the cache dancesports!
Found with geoboy pearcy on our little holiday all the way from Cairns. Thanks for the cache.
hi dancesports - thanks for the cache.Spending time this week with geoFamily, Davinells from Qld.After a lovely walk into Duckhole Lake - even managing to avoid the rain - we're caching our way back thru Dover.I'd dropped LDavs off on the other side of the nearby footbridge, while JDavs and I drove round and parked by the public facilities. That meant we approached GZ from different directions eventually meeting, just as LDavs made the find of a nicely hidden cache.I stopped to search here some time ago but was thwarted by a large BBQ party - so I moved on.Glad to come back today and make amends.Cheers,EPs
After a great walk in to Duckhole Lake with EeePees we are caching our way back to Hobart. Utilising my the hint we spread out and soon found the prize, all good here. Thanks dancesportsFind #6292
Sorry dancesports, after a thorough search I did not come up with the goods today for your Traditional, Dover for sure! Exersurprise. It may be worth a sanity check to see that it is still here, I have been known to be cache blind at times.
I went back for another look! Bingo. Thanks dancesports for hiding this cache, I needed a find for today to update my calendar and find streak. Your Traditional cache, Dover for sure! Exersurprise, was just what I needed. This is my find #1608 at 11:22 on 2/6/2024. Out and about the caches trip to Geeveston, via a stop to get the cache, nice view with the breeze, sign the log with good dry. TFTC
Im having a couple of weeks off and Im spending the first few days down in the South of Tassie to find 8 different types, 25 of one type and also any LGAs that I come across to help fulfil a few of the challenges that Im working on.Also Im trying to keep my small streak going to beat my last streak of 67 days. After spending the night down south Im heading back towards Hobart to see where I end up for the night.I drove through Dover on the way down south and I planned to stop in here on the way back to explore this nice little town. There were muggles in the area as I went past and after finding a few further along Kent Beach I came back past here and the coast was clear. After widening my search area I soon added my name to the log. Thanks dancesports TFTC.
Was an easy find once we read past logs and extended the search area. We ended up 13m away from posted coordinates was where we found the cache. TFTC
Thanks to this cache, I visited some very nice spots and beautiful places in Tassie and I enjoyed another perfect day on my holidays in Australia. Found it after kayaking tour.
We’ve been out since before 8 am it is now 3.07. We are cold and wet. We also needed a toilet stop. One last cache as we’ve finished the lab. Then we will find a toilet.
Cache found quickly and toilet found too. Win win

First Dover cache found, hoping to collect all of them in the next few days TFTC ️
What should have been a quick cache took so long because of a local walking his dogs. In hindsight perhaps walking is a term suggesting too fast movement to explain his actions.
A nice and easy find and spotted a pair of black swans in the nearby creek. TFTC

Today is the first full day of two weeks holiday on this great Island State. Yesterday, I joined my crew on "Boxer", a 23 foot long gaff rigged replica Moreton Bay net fishing boat, which is participating in the Tawa Nunnugah Raid. The raid is a cruise in company over two weeks, starting at Recherche Bay finishing at the Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart on Friday. The raid participants camped in the foreshore park overnight. After helping to pack up the camp, I slipped away here and soon enough, after referencing the hint, made the find. Everything was in good order here. Many thanks, dancesportsPete#6,748
After lunch headed along and stopped here as was sure there would be one nearby, yup. Found as per the new updated hint.
Day 3 in Hobart area and a trip to the South East of the coast nearby was the plan. We covered a few more kms, saw some more cool stuff including a platypus in it's natural environment and a few more caches were found.
We had a weeks holiday booked in Tasmania as a way of celebrating mrs capperz's 60th birthday. What can I say but WOW. What an awesome state and was everything we'd seen and heard about this gem of a place. My main PQ had only Earthcaches and Virtuals and aside from an old cache for my missing month stats I only turned the GPS on when we were stopping somewhere anyway, what a great way to tour a place. Managed one complete set of Ad Labs at the airport, and started another 6 adventures with no intention to complete. Over 50 'real' caches were completed and left behind a couple of trackables to continue their journeys.
I will upload the associated pictures and answers over the next few days or so, need to start to make a dent in my finds backlog.
Oh, and thanks to all COs for their hides, much appreciated for this New Zealander.

Cache was still there, But not quite in position. I have moved back to the right spot, happy hunting.
Again unfortunate no cache there, took me 30mins searched, but terrible long grass on the fence line… DNF for me today..
Our original plan for the day was to head up to Orford to try and find some more of the tiger snake series but when I got a notification about a new ad lab and bonus at Dover, we couldn’t resist trying to get a first to find. We took the Huon highway on the way in with plans to take the longer way through police point on the way back. A great day out with a total of nineteen finds.
We had to wait for a muggle to move but after that it was a quick find.
Thanks for the cache dancesports!

Quick find and lovely spot! Will have to come back here for a picnic and strength work!! TFTC
Exercise! No way! I’m on holidays!! Few muggles out today made this a lot easier than it could have been. Going back home to sit by the fire and wait for the tide to go
Out. ️

Second find of the morning while running along the foreshore, a few more people about so timing needed to be spot on.
Thanks

Tgis was next on the list after finding "once was a pub". There were a few muggles around but luckily I had my dog with me so while I was reaching down to "untangle his lead" the cache was grabbed. Them quickly signed and put back into its hiding spot. Thanks.
Luckily it was a quiet day as it looks like this place would get busy over summer. TFTC .
A nice quick find here was welcomed as the weather looked like it was about to pour down!
SL at 12:11 on Sat 21/8/21.
Replaced the dry log and i was onto my next hoping i wouldn't need to build an ark. There was static on the AM band radio indicating lightning was about, just not here thankfully.
Now it's onto the next then the IGA park hide then..... lunch [^]

For quite some time now we've been planning a trip to Duckhole Lake, but been stymied on each occasion we've gone to do so. Today we were blessed with a combination of lovely weather and a day free of other commitments, so we decided it was definitely the right time to go for it (especially with winter just around the corner).
Following our lovely walk to the lake (what a wonderful spot), we headed back to Dover for a spot of playtime at the various parks, and to pick up a few caches along the way.
This was our first find in Dover, picked up as Little Miss Nataliec1234 was busy playing around on the exercise equipment. There were a few muggles going back and forth along the path as we went searching, but fortunately the GPSr was pretty spot on and we soon had a good idea where to be looking. It did take a moment or two for us to find out exactly where it was, but we soon had the cache safely in hand.
Thanks for showing us to this spot!

Tricky to get the log sheet out of this one, but luckily the earlier finders today left a perfectly shaped stick on the railing for me. Cheers!
Just chanced to be in this location today and, after a stroll along the beach, thought I should see if there are any caches in the vicinity. Yes there was, and before long I'd spotted it, gone to the car to get a pen, and returned to sign the log. At the moment the cache is a bit full with the new piece of paper in addition to the original roll, but there is still room on the new piece for signatures (it's just a bit difficult to retrieve and replace the logs in the cache). Thanks for the cache, dancesports. Hopefully when I'm down this way again I may find some more.
Found on a nice drive with Puglumps, after an unfortunate whale adventure last week. Cache is in great condition. TFTC Dancesports
I was down Dover way today and replaced two missing caches, howeverI forgot to check this one. I think it’s ok because arfoggo added extra paper. I will check next time I’m down that way. If it does need a new log, can the next finder please message me.
out and about caching with one Lil Rafa today, in the game for the wonders of the world GC of cause. Its the first time I have stayed in Dover and the forecast is for rain and overcast conditions, still a nice place to visit, still we are geocaching and that is good. TFTC TNLN log dry. an easy find with the clues TFTC TNLN log dry log full but another piece of paper was in the bison but hard to retrieve.
Thanks for the cache dancesports. RLD4963 and I have talked about a weekend away to Dover for a while now. We originally planned to visit in mid-April but it was postponed until this weekend. Thanks for this series of caches, the weather had been threatening all day, but we mostly managed to avoid the rain, so a nice day out and about. A nice quick find at GZ.
