Today I went for a drive past Ashburton and into the nearby countryside. I started my searches by looking for caches around Lake Hood. This was the first one I found. Took a little while to interpret the hint correctly but then it was all good. TFTC, Biggles.

I always wondet what .uggles must think when they see people fossicking in strange places.TFTC

Unexpected cancellation of a work appointment gave me some spare time to find some caches around the area. This was an easy find for me without the help of the hint. Cache is all good here. TFTC.

Found with dakotacats - some confusion over what the hint was telling us, I thought it was elsewhere but dakotacats suddenly had it in her hand so yay! TFTC

We had visited Lake Hood a couple of years ago in October and had always said we would return in summer and today was the day. A lovely new sign in place and a bonus that it had a cache there. The hint was somewhat confusing and 4Clubs and I didn't agree on what the hint was telling us. With so much growth it is hard to see the hidden objects and there was much debate about counting from the left or right. BUT in the end I found the cache safely tucked away. We thought we had been sprung by a couple of muggles but it turned out that they were geocachers, so happy to help them out. TFTC

Found but no pencil with me to sign. Replaced correctly as slightly off.

Flash entryway. I first visited Lake Hood when Mum and I came for lunch and a bit of an explore around when it was quite new. That must've been a while ago and before I started caching. Turns out I can't count. Either that or the cache has moved a bit. TFTC # 16,270

After going to Lake Hood Too (actually the second one) we went to this one.
Just one of our team had a hunt around the area and could not seem to locate anything. But once we were all onto it, the cache was shortly in hand. Thanks for adding to our adventure today.

Quick find after attending the CITO and before I drive back to Chch. Always seem to be in a hurry and I've never been to Lake Hood so today is the day. Thanks for the cache. Dropped off a TB.

On holiday in ChCh (Ashburton) for the weekend with darkangel so we decided to join the local Ashburton ianfr on what turned out to be an 11 hour adventure through Thompson's Track and around town, in an attempt to collect 100 caches in a day. We'd all always wanted to do it, and we saw a perfect opportunity to try. What we got to around 80 before we hit a brick wall and soon could only log DNF's, but thankfully and eventually, we hit the milestone in the end (104 in the end!). Signed all logs today as Team DIM.

Found ... we were down visiting family at Lake Hood for 7 or 8 days ... like most days we decided to go for a walk & noticed that there were a few new caches around the lake since our last visit ... decided to give a few of them a go ... easy find with no traffic to cause any problems, log completed & cache returned ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,564 for us.

15 July 2017 16:16. Was on the 'hood so thought it would be rude to go past and not drop in. Nice little apartment for ghetto cache. TFTC Kiwi Nomad and Kiwi Nomad v2.0

JDScout and I spent the night in the campervan at Coronation park campground. Our minds was biking by Lake Hood.

This was our first find today.

The Seagnoid, Zara & I are off to Ashburton to pick up Toby. His nose job and body work are now complete so time to bring him home with extra time to explore Banks Peninsular again. Parked Zara up in town and Toby is parked up at Lake hood and we off walking the Lake Hood Trail.
Finally on our way back to Zara and Toby. Snagged this one on the way past. Cheers
