Mrs Woodyrothwell is a prep teacher and has to encounter young children that haven’t been diagnosed with problems. It’s only when they start attending school does someone realise that they might be on the spectrum. I thought a spectrum was something you played the guitar with.

Still I didn’t know what this mystical spectrum was so I set about educating myself. I found a show on ABC iView called “Love on the Spectrum” and fell in love with it. I’ll admit that I cried when watching it. The only other times I have cried in my life is watching The Shawshank Redemption and that one time I told my wife that plucking eyebrows could not possibly be painful and volunteered myself to test that theory.

From what I gather, the spectrum is rather diverse and covers a lot of diagnoses. I think as geocachers we must also be somewhere on the spectrum because who else gets excited by finding a piece of plastic in the bush. We were excited to find this one. tftc

There was a worker on the footpath near the access point. He was watering the lawn.

I parked around the corner and took a back door access route to the hiding spot and soon spotted the cache. I kept the tree between me and the workman as I could see him from the spot.

Signed the log and took the back door access back to the car.

Having communicated earlier with the CO that I had some trackables with me from NZ and where a good cache to drop them was I reckoned that a pre-dinner wander along to here which is fairly nearby, and not a bad size, would be just the thing. So we put the twins into their buggy and headed out in some nice pleasant temperatures along the path towards GZ. mrs capperz headed back before we got there as she reckoned dinner would be ready at 1730 (it was another hour and a half after) so I set off the last bit alone. All good at G Z and plenty of room inside for my eleven weary travel bug companions. Quite a stash for someone to grab - happy travels all, including a Greymouth school project one.

Having arrived from New Zealand later yesterday and with an unexpected downpour to greet us, I decided not to bother caching on arrival and save it up for the next day. Today was that day. Upon checking where our accommodation was located (my sons house) I saw an awesome and tempting looking walkway and grassy rea that looked to be a promising entry-level caching experience to the area. I typically cache out an area in ever increasing circles and on-foot was the best option for us.

29-Sep-17
Great cache No TB. Was going to leave a TB but lots of muggles.

This was my 2nd cache for our father's day outing. I had selected a couple of caches to do after reading the descriptions and it fitting what I was after for the day. We set up in this spot for our lunch. Kids had a playground to play in and we had a nice shady picnic table to cook our vego burgers. After eating we set off to find Fatso. Chikinlittler was the one who found him nice and safe in his hidey hole. A lovely sized cache container so dropped off a TB that I think we have had for way too long. A lovely park and a nice cache to find. Thanks for placing it for us!!
