We are now in Dunedin on our trip. It is very beautiful here with many great buildings. We enjoy the surroundings and the great views.Of course, the Labcaches Tradis Virtuals and Earthcaches are also searched for and logged. So we walk through the very stormy streets today. The logsheet was wet so we can only log short with MH.Many thanks to all owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany
Searched for about 20 minutes with Gazania Rigens, chasing the GPS round and round, looking in every likely nook and cranny (except the one in which the cache had been placed, evidently) several times and within a 20 metre radius. Dommage!Finalement il a fallu abandonner in favour of enjoying more caches on this beautiful day
I'm ditching dad again and heading down south for the Mega in Dunedin. During this trip I managed to do many things and meet many people over the 2 weeks I was away. Thanks to all the cache owners and other cachers for making this trip enjoyable.Day 5 of the trip. I am now in dunedin and the first thing to do is to get the taybeemobile fixed. After getting 2 punctures fixed and getting a drink the day started off with darting across town for a FTF and then meeting Flaker2Rule in the botanical gardens. After that we went and did some really cool caches up on signal hill. After that I pottered around town and managed to get a 2nd FTF and then went to the early meetup event. After meeting Flaker2Rule in the botanical gardens we decided to quickly do this cache before heading up to signal hill. TFTCAll logs on this trip were signed by any of the following:Taybee NZ,TBNZ,TNZ,TB/D (When I was out with mother)
Spent far too long here searching for a micro in a jungle. Decided the weather was too nice to be looking any longer. The difficulty rating is definitely justified. My phone was sending me in circles and there were sooo many trees. Couldn't work our why the hint was in French either.
Thanks! Paper wet but still writable just about, also cache is not black as claimed
Tricky to get access to. We'll camouflaged. A tweezer may help to retrieve the log. Thanks for the cache!
A bit of a mish to get into this one on my wandering, but the GPS was playing nicely this time and led me right to it. Cheers
Container lid quite rusty and hard to open, or maybe it was my cold hands, TFTC.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we had until late afternoon to go geocaching in Dunedin. We then took the bus to Cromewell. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Seventh day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.**We still had enough time for a few caches before we left Dunedin this afternoon. The main target were the old ones from 2000, but of course there was plenty of by-catch. GCB2 led us here. Our path through the botanical garden also led us to this tradi. The search turned out to be easier than expected, as we quickly found what we were looking for as a team. Now our names are also in this logbook.**Thanks for laying & taking care .Siebter Tag in Neuseeland ??.

A total of 38 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland went on a long journey. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand.I've been to New York and Hawaii, but this was going to be my furthest trip yet.The big goal was to get to know the continents with their natural characteristics and cultures. But we also wanted to find historical caches. Our first stop was Doha, Qatar. In Australia we visited Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns.Auckland, Rotuara, Wellington, Picton, Blenheim, Christchurch and Comwell were our stops in New Zealand. We ended our trip in beautiful Queenstown. To protect the logbooks, we logged with the team name Downunder 2024.It was a very special trip in a large team. Thanks for laying and maintaining the cache. Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia and New Zealand for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar .We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien und Neuseeland .

We arrived in New Zealand. And we are sooooo happy about it. ?? We (Team Downunder24) discovered the island by looking for some caches. We could see many nice places, landscapes, sheeps and beautiful buildings. We enjoyed our stay very much. ?? Amazing. ??"Lovelock Bush (Otago)" was one of the caches we could find during our bus tour from the north to the south. Thanks Cache is life for showing that place??
Very snuggly hid, almost didnt see it. first time ive encountered water proof paper!. Thank you!
GPS gave me a run around and then I realised Id left my pen in the car. Left a little gold kangaroo pin as swag instead.
# #7,076 #----------Half expected to struggle a lot here. Off beaten track. I spotted a yellow ceramic mug on a tree. Note to self, it wasnt the mug but I did meet a very friendly spider which made me scream like a little girl. Thankfully no one was there to witness that! One of several caches located in Dunedin today when I was visiting a few points of interest. After picking up the nearby renowned “Botanical Gardens” cache, I realised this one wasn’t too far away as well. A certain amount of minor “bush bashing” was required to get to it, but at least it was a reasonably quick find once there! #6223. TFTC.
Trying for high dt and old dnfs so a second go for this one. A long search with no luck. Gps kept bringing me back to same place. Third time lucky I spotted it exactly as hint suggested. Why didn't I see it before?
A good little explore through the bush to find this one! We used the hint but the cache wasn’t quite where the clue suggested. Found eventually with HoppyHunting. TFTC!
Today we visit the Dunedin Botanical Garden. In addition to many beautiful flowers and plants, we will also look for the good old cache! An oldie from 2000! And it is found in good condition. Because we are in the area, we also look for this very well hidden traditional.
This one is also found to be in good order.

In Dunedin for a few days for U13 football tournament. Even though Mr12 has a broken arm we still made the trip to support the team...and Mr12, with a bubble wrapped arm, even managed to play a couple of the games....
A gap between games down in Logan park so MrsTG, Mr15 and I walked up here to kill some time...a nice wee loop through the bush reserve. No bowls on and an expanding search soon netted the cache....now to get back down to Logan Park for the next game! Thanks.

Phew that took a while. Great hide not sure what the man in the bowling green was thinking TFTC
Took me a while to find this cache. Eventually got to within 3m with my GPSr then searched likely trees and voila.
Noice little walk in a corner of Lovelock Bush. Wandered off track to the GZ and panned the device around. Hmm time for a reset; stepped out on to the green since the last row of trees has been felled and no fence to hinder the exit. Needle moved in to a final zero and Hooah one peek in a dry place with the hint and mint tin in hand. The putty remains of a visitors logbook and sundry paper scraps were removed to make room for the RITR log page currently being signed. Popped the goods in a new mini and returned cache to hide. Six years current Diff3.5/Terr 2.5 Three images, three fav's . . . three watchers. Time to spare exploring the little trails and returned another pillcan close by back to the Ent's toe that keeps drifting around the bush by noobs. *RTP 425pt* TFTC
#10,406. I have a big day planned picking out geotour caches on the north side of the harbour, up to Karitane and Moeraki and back to my accommodation in Dunedin. Plus grabbing a lot of adventure labs. The sun has come out and after some rather chilly December weather on this trip its forecast to reach 27 degrees today and I think they got that right. It was very hot by mid-morning.
After stopping to do some adventure labs in town and at the Botanic gardens I parked nearby to this cache and wandered into the bush reserve. Lots of birdlife in here. Well I reached GZ and wandered around in circles for some time staring at every large tree and a lot of smaller ones. I think I checked out the actual hiding spot at least three times before "seeing" the cache. Talk about can't see the wood for the trees. Don't know what it is about my vision but it can be described in one word - crap. Signed the logbook and replaced the container where found. Thanks Cache is life for hiding it here.

Spending a few days in Dunedin visiting the children. Mrs Rubbishparty was flying out this afternoon and on the way to the airport dropped me in town. Su day afternoon seemed a good time to tackle some urban caches with fewer muggles about. Enjoyed the rhododendrons getting here. Lots of arbres here but fortunately spotted it early fairly quickly. Cache was all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Decided to stop for this one, after taking the scenic route past the Gardens. Thought about cutting through the bowls club but there was a man working on the grounds, so decided it was safer to take a stealthier way in. Bush was less dense than I expected it to be, and the GPS worked pretty well. However, as I neared GZ I could hear the gentleman at the club and hoped he couldn't hear me searching about closeby. Hunted in a few locations of interest (luckily I understood the hint without any problem) and then found it tucked away, nicely camoflaged. SL and replaced as found. TFTC.
Never thought we would find this in the short time we had allotted ourselves. Translated the hint from french, neck height helped, got to within 3.5 metres and looked hard, hey presto, tftc.
No 9563. I came up here for the 'oldie' cache nearby, and then noticed this was here and helped towards the DGSc Challenge (oh so near now...) , so continued on up the hill.
Now I suck at night caching at the best of times, but pressed on anyway, very glad of a good torch and 2 phones with me, which even sometimes agreed on the direction! Eventually found the sensible way in and gradually narrowed down the distance to the approx. GZ. Looked around, nothing. Widened the search, and engaged 'now where would I have hidden it?' sense. Still nothing.
Decided to give up, and return in daylight, swung the torch around to find the best way back out and discovered I was standing right by it! Oh well, sometimes luck works better than any alleged skill.
Now for the long walk back to the motel... somewhat shortened by a fortuitously passing no 8 bus. TFTC

Beautiful morning walk to Dunedin Botanic Garden, small short rain, but waterproof jacket is enough. Going around couple of minutes finally found only few steps away from "civilisation".
I remember visiting near here for a cache previously so thought maybe I was going to be looking for a previous DNF. But I ended up in quite a different spot and walked straight up to the cache - can't get better than that! TFTC # 16,297
Slightly misty evening, but luckily found much quicker than we had thought it would be. Kia ora for the cache.
Greetings from Scotland. We travelled from Lake Tekapo today. It was such a lovely day we decided to have a wander around the Botanic Gardens before heading to our accommodation. We did have an ulterior motive of finding a cache for our Jasmer too. After a wander around the beautiful gardens, and finding the golden oldie, we headed towards this one. We followed the path and then saw a wee track which we followed. We were lucky with the coords as they directed us straight to somewhere which fitted the hint. As we approached MrsF spotted the cache lying on the ground. We signed the log and returned the container to where we reckon it should have been hiding.

We enjoyed most of the walk up to GZ but after a lengthy search in a not so scenic area, we failed to find the cache. Sorry, too devious for us. ️️

DIN were about to have their triathlon I believe, so hurried out of there before the bikes started coming. Cache container blended in well but it was hard to write on the paper. Tftc
