TFTC! very cute! was hoping there would be some running water at the weir but there was none still a lovely secluded place to have lunch regardless!
Nice easy find and a great container. Not a very interesting walk really but simple to get around. Looking to get the next one. TFTC and SL at 10:35am.
Not an interesting walk?? Obviously not a fan of some really cool and rare history relating to the early days of European settlement dating back well over 100 years ago.
A nice place for a baaath. Great history. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
This one deserves a little favourite didn’t really manage to find the old sheep dip hole but we did manage to find a couple of others on the way up to the waterfalls
Came on a mission thinking I’d be going cross country and then realised that a track would link this clutch of caches! Significantly this loop did not show up on the APP so you could say I was saved. A bonus is some exercise in splendid country and it was a nice wander to here. Enroute to home base from marvellous Melbs so thought a detour to the Warbys’ in order. TFTC AND THE FUN.
Found with dalerious. What a wonderful day chosen to hike through this gorgeous place, which never fails to provide interesting things to see and wonder at. So much history tucked away which caused such a surprise when we came upon them. It was truly magical walking this trail and exploring it's delights. The creeks were flowing enough to set the scene, and we came upon a spot that we couldn't resist but have a dip and cool off. So many photos, so many vista's, so many wonderful memories. Thank you Team BGF and JA for placing your caches in an area that more people should visit. All caches were found in good condition . I am going to leave the rest of my story with my photos . Favourite given to all!
I have had my eye in this little series of caches for a jolly long time now and today was the day I finally got to come and grab them while there was still a bit of water flowing. Best of all I got to share the experience with catnap777 who was also keen to visit them.
Although the track itself got a bit "spartan" at times, it was clear to see the effort that had gone into creating this History Trail with the excellent signage and the nearby bridge construction. [^]
TFTC Team BGF. We both loved the well themed cache container and I even scored a kiss when I presented the find to cat'. [:X]

Where can we walk in the Warbies today? Let's do the WFHT walks and series. We hoped the rain would stay away and it did. Lovely walk around the tracks, reading the information signs and cache hunting. We made some of our own tracks too, like the kangaroos do! Thanks for the series and caches Team BGF
What a great cache, very creative! I was feeling slightly more unfit then I should have been considering this was only cache number 2 for the day but on we went.... up and up and up... only to discover our next cache was down, oh well! Onwards and upwards
The decision was made to head to the Warbys after the rain and catch some waterfalls and add some smilies. It was a late start due to a desire to sleep off a few beverages from the night before so after lunch SomethingDifferent and I headed off to attack the Warby Falls Heritage Trail and finish off at the brewery just down the hill. It ended up being a long day with luckily only a sprinkling of rain and a surprising lack of water after the rain we have had.
Only the second cache and after seeing the well made bridge and celebrating the fact that this walk is put together and set out nicely after nearly losing our way a couple of times we were happy to find this very cute container. Happy to give this a favourite point

Day one of my holidays, heading to Wangaratta for a couple of nights. Nice area for a cache, and a quick find for me.
My thanks to Team BGF for placing and maintaining the cache.

Just realised I had no smileys for these few caches... and no online logs! Must have saved as drafts by mistake!!
Found on 9th August 2018. Was cool to see the old sheep wash, and all the effort that had gone into the weirs and races for it.
Found cache easily. Loved the container! TFTC!!

After grabbing the Exploring The Warbys cache I headed back down the mountain in the opposite direction to the one I came up to try and grab a few caches along the Warby Falls Heritage Trail.
I was thinking it was going to be another trek thru the bush but there was a pleasant surprise at the bottom of the hill, a nice path leading straight to GZ. A quick search and I had the cache in hand, log signed and off to grab the next one along the WFHT.
Thanks Team BGF for the cache.

The Geobairns and I completed the upper half of this series nearly two and a half years ago. With a lazy Saturday afternoon in front of us, we decided a family hike was in order, so we set off from the lower car park this time to knock off the couple of remaining caches in the original series of caches along this trail.
I was hoping for a couple of years of unlove seeing as these haven’t been logged in over a year, but there’s a name in the logbook from Aug 2018 that hasn’t yet logged online. Oh well.
TFTC and the lovely springtime walk.

Love the container! Phone GPS had us walking in circles for a while but we got there in the end! TFTC
A short walk in the Warbys with Howjen567. (BB did the drop off!)
We passed a local walking group a couple of times on the trail (going in the other direction).
The cache had gone walkabout (probably sampling the lush green grass around here.
Rounded up and returned to its pen.
Very cute.
Thanks, Robmc.

Know of a few similar spots one of which is in the farm behind us. Nevertheless interesting to see parts of the warbies otherwise unknown. The cache had been evicted from its hiding spot, I think the resident from the hide might have said ewe can just begone. Or perhaps something a little more aussie!
Anyway many thanks for the series and hope to complete them soon

All the bananas found here was one lost sheep.
Which was a little surprising because on the way here we had sighted all sorts of Australian Native wildlife.
But here was one sheep.
And hence we think it might have been lost.

Out for another walk today and this time with Emma. We stopped in at the brewery before heading up to the track.
Second for the walk we read a bit about the history of the site before making another quick find at GZ. Plenty of water in the creek gave us great hope for what lays ahead.

Cache missing! Despite not being affected by planned burn or fallen branches nearby. Replacement out shortly.
Might need a checkup- tree has fallen and a small cleanup has occurred at indicated GZ.. Then again I might have been in the wrong spot

Starting out just as the sun is rising this morning to beat the heat and enjoy an early morning walk! By the time we SL at 7.36am the sun was up and the temperature was 21degrees with a nice breeze to keep us cool. Left: PT and took a couple of photos of the nearby creek bed - very dry today, so no hope of washing the sheep! #3436 TFTC Team BGF - now to see if we can locate #3!
FTF We headed out early this morning to do some birding and pick up a cache or two. Nice to find a blank log sheet and also get in a good walk. Beautiful out here in the bush. TFTC
