On an early morning cache run in the Shire as we work towards our Sutherland Shire Cachers Challenge. Parked at the rear of the near establishment and walked towards GZ. Being pre-opening hours and raining there was no one around which made for a quick search and find. With the cache in hand, we signed the log a replaced as found. Both the container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache Pipes_down_under.

After a great day in the Royal National Park I decided to try and avenge my dnf on this cache from four years ago on the way home.
I don't know, getting around The Shire with No Right Turns, one ways is difficult when you don't know the area so it wasn't the straightforward drive to the cache I had expected.
Finally found a little town area with parking that looked vaguely familiar so I took the first spot for the geomobile that I could see. Turned out to be right beside the station and about 100m from GZ. A short walk and I was in a park that was deserted although there was a long queue in the establishment next door. I assumed they were engrossed in buying goodies for watching all the sport on TV this arvo and began looking for the cache.
Easy.....this time. It definitely wasn't on view last time like it was when I was here before. SL and rehid so it couldn't be seen from the park or next door, I hope.

Always feel weird looking for an urban cache. But this was a cute park to visit and a quick find. TFTC
Finally found this one after several previous tries in its defence of a small park. The trusty steed awaits the find. Tftc establishment, hide and maitenance.
Too many muggles, and the navigation was sending me all over the park. I’ll try again another day!
Spent longer then I would have liked in this one got it in the end. Tftc tnln
I found this one at 18:30 while on a pre-dinner walk around the area. A nice quick find thanks to spot-on coordinates which had me wondering why it has been virtually six months since its last visit. I even thought for a moment that it was actually the nearby GCA cache.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Pipes_down_under.

#2858 this proved to be a very quick find no one at BWS no one in the park so just a very quick grab
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Pipes_down_under.
Just because it was a quick grab it certainly wasn't a quick return. Just as I got back to GZ after taking it away to sign 2 cars drove into the driveway and parked in front of the entrance. The drivers got out of the cars and went into the store. So I walked back to GZ but then 2 more vehicles came into the driveway with one stopping right next to where I was standing forcing the second car to hi wide just missing me. So I walked out into the park. Watched the first two cars drive off only for someone to come along with a towel only to seet it up beside the fence and here I thought I may be able to return it from that side of the fence. She only sat there till she had finished her food. The guy in the third car came back and drove off. So I went back to the BWS side (by the way my car is parked out the back) only for two cars to do U turns right where I was standing. I'm now thinking I'll put new coords and say I found it 20 metres away maybe there was some cache creep. But then there was nobody around. Returned as found

Clever hide, had us fooled for a while. In closer inspection of what looked to be out of the ordinary I had the cache in hand. Thank you
Good, quick find especially considering the number of niggles, including gardeners and BWS employees. The difficulty could be increased considering the passing population (just a suggestion). Tftc
Even with 6 sets of eyes, we came up with nothing. Very frustrating not being able to spy a D1 especially when 2 cachers were previous finders... But they couldn't remember the hide.
I've lost my caching mojo.

6 pair of eyes again resulted in a DNF. Even tried a PAF, but that only give more reason to think it is gone again?

So pleased to find this one as too many muggles to get a look a few days ago.. nice hide..thanks for having us here from WA...
Found with geo 4 yr old after a trip to the near by travel agent to grab our cruise documents! TFTC.
A day out with oldmorty seeking the final few caches to complete his Sutherland Shire Cachers' Challenge.
After finding A Big Box of Cool Stuff, oldmorty and I needed a cool drink after the hike back to the car. He suggested we have lunch in the Gymea Village. He was there last week with his children and thought it might be nice to return. He mentioned that there was a cache nearby that he'd been unable to find last time he was here. So after lunch we headed to GZ. A thorough search was made of the area, but time was passing, and we still had 2 more caches to find before the end of the day. Just as we were leaving oldmorty spotted something in the corner of his eye. "Not a normal Pipes cache", he said. All signed and replaced as found. It's always nice to see a smile on oldmorty's face. Thanks Pipes_down_under

OCW frazeydaze. After completing a couple of caches for a challenge cache in the morning it was decided to have lunch in Gymea. After parking in the pub carpark and while walking to the cafe I mentioned this cache to frazeydaze. No response, she must be hungry, so we proceeded to lunch. After lunch while walking back to the car she suggested we should make a search for this cache since we were in the vicinity. After a search at the wrong level the cache was spotted while approaching the car. Bonus. TFTC Sir Pipes.
After having found Lechiffre2013, we continued on to Gymea village. Parked the car in a back street and walked down to the nice little park. Some muggle kids were playing in the park, and their mothers were having a chat, but nobody looked at us when we tried to locate the cache. Eventually we made a slight change to our search area, and then it was easy to see where the cache was hidden.

Came on a cold rainy night hoping to avoid muggles. Struggles in the dark trying to not draw attention to myself and finally got the find on what was one minute away from being called another DNF
Soo after work I noticed that I had emails with new caches. But all seamed too far away and one stood out near by so off I went. After spending way too much time hunting for the FTF (bragging right's) , I had to give it a DNF. That's when I came here. Vert quick find just intime to keep my log-find streak going. TFTC
Pipes_down_under I found your cache The Village on 21/1/18, 1:22 pm. This is my find 1891 and find # 5 today. Been here before unsuccessfully, but today I can cross this one off. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
#4740 (1 of 3 today)
Such a busy day today. And so even after dinner with friends in The Shire I still was without a find. And I NEED a find (or two, or three, or...) today to bolster my calendar day finds.
So basically I headed east after dinner and managed three finds - and all before 11:30! HUZZAH!
And that included a previous DNF I couldn't find in daylight! DOUBLE HUZZAH!!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Arrived at this previous DNF - what am I thinking?
Muggles are few and far between at 10:30pm - oh, except for the police who have turned up next door. But they're not interested in me, so started the search.
Took a few minutes and... I'm sure that wasn't there last time. Hmmm.
Made the grab and completed signing duties. Then (after the return of the police - still ignoring me) replaced as found - seems a little too obvious to me, maybe the CO can check.
Good to have checked this one off.

After a short delay waiting for the NRMA to change a flat tyre, had enough daylight and energy to make a quick detour here on my way home. Took a few minutes to wait out muggle and spot cache at the right angle but soon back on my way.
A quick easy find. While in the area for a event. Used to be my old watering hole nearby tftc
On my way to the GIFF event when I stopped for this quick grab. What I didn't count on were all the muggles. Spotted something out of the ordinary and used a small break in muggle traffic to make a quick swoop. CIH! After the event, came back with Coastblue and Alephroom while they made the find. Cache# 506 TFTC
OCW Alephroom and Rodney1210 after the nearby GIFF event. This was quick find in a muggle free park by Alephroom. I think all the muggles were in the club around the corner so we had the park to ourselves. We casually completed our signing duties and replaced the cache. We walked away with the guys quoting lines and laughing at movies I’ve never seen or even heard of. I laughed along at their animated over exaggerated interpretations. Such is life. TFTC!
Located at 10:38pm. OCW Coastblue and Rodney1210. Rodney had logged this before the GIFF event. He watched as Coastblue and I made the find. Nice and easy. Спасибо! תודה! TFTC!

Nice hide spot. Must be my luck found it signed the log with ozuk. Thanks for the cache and hunt
Was in the area for an errand and ziggiau said the nearest cache was only 120m away so we couldn't pass it up. Took a few circles of the area to come up with the goods.
Even a tiny cache in suburbia is a find that helps to avoid increasing my slump days record. Had to avoid some children sized muggles, and allow the arrow to settle on one spot, but we had the CIH in a few minutes and didn't have to trash the gardens to achieve it. After nearly two weeks without a find, I sometimes wonder if the geo sense loose some of their accuracy and need to get back to match fitness. I'll make up for it once September is over. Thanks PDU.
No wonder I had difficulty with this one the last two visits. I was on the wrong side of the fence. Thanx Pipes for the Gymea part of The Shire Challenges...and for your piping at the Newnes event last weekend.
Found it searched for it a long time 'bout ten mins didn't have pen so didn't log it but we found it

This was today's cache to keep the streak alive. Today was a very long day with most of SWAG Gang out of action due to illness. I had to step up and find the cache and after a short search, this was the cache of the Day.
After originally heading to higher ground due to what the location looked to be on the map, a quick previous log check had me heading for the low stuff and there it was right away.
Very easy hide in the end.
Thanks for the cache.

This is my first visit to Gymea and I lane on exploring all the caches in the local area today.
First stop, The Village.
For a D1.5 this took me a lot longer than it should !
But I did found it, before visiting the local shops for snacks and drinks

3rd of 4 finds (& 2 DNFs) today - Bankstown, Barden Ridge , Sutherland, Gymea, Croydon Park
Decided to head south today - tried to get 5, but a couple of tricky DNFs spoiled the party.
"Muso" was the last of these DNFs and took a long time. So afterwards, I decided to try another area. This cache, now back in place, was worth coming back to, to get redemption from a DNF here in October last year.
Once again I tried all the same areas and still couldn't find anything. I can't believe I resorted to a PAF for a D1! Oh, I hadn't even thought about that level? That would put the coords maybe another .001 south, but close enough. Off to that area and made the find. Glad to have a smiley here.
Time to head home - but I dropped in on "Punchbowl Road Troll" on the way home. TFTC.

As Toriaz has stated in her log, this cache helped us qualify for a challenge cache in the Sutherland Shire while we waited for Canary to arrive. We parked in the lower car park opposite the station and walked up. There was a gathering of young people in formal dress just outside the liquor store, and as we walked toward it some were already breaking from the group to begin going wherever it was they were going. They walked towards us. There were some fine young ladies in that group. The distraction must have addled my brain momentarily because I ended up on the wrong side of the fence without a cache. It took a moment to regroup, then we entered the park, where I managed to make an easy find. Thanks
Does "TB drop" mean that the replacement has been redeployed and this cache should be enabled again???

1 DNF after 3 finds today - Bellevue Hill, Coogee, Miranda, Gymea.
After finding "Lest We Forget", I thought I'd see how I go at getting a few caches around Gymea. I had about 45 minutes of caching time left before I'd need to head back. I thought I'd start off easy with this 1-star difficulty cache. Hah!
Groundspeak rate 1-star difficulty as "Easy to find or solve within a few minutes". Laughable. Even two-star is "Relatively easy to find or solve within 30 minutes". Surely the muggle factor alone would make this one at least **.
I was here for about 30 minutes but 'relatively easy'? Try empty-handed. To quote Blackadder, "Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more."
Possibly time for one or two more, but instead I grabbed a coffee and headed home with my tail between my legs.
