### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
I notice from recent log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of owner intervention
Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook. Unfortunately, there are one or more comments in regard to the state of the cache log for this cache, which leads one to the contention that the cache container is no longer weather proof.
A basic tenet of geocaching is that **the cache log needs to be signed to record a find,** see here: [Logging of All Physical Geocaches](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging). At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache. I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)
Please respond to this situation by **27th December** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

The clue gives it away. Super easy. My little brother found it. it's his first one. TFTC
Found pretty easily in the end, the clue helped as well as no muggles! Could not sign log as it's very soaked, TFTC!
After a long day at work it was off to find a cache... I've been parking near the start of a multi and decided today was the day to finally attempt it. So after working out the coordinates and heading off to the GZ, I had no luck in retrieving the cache. The wind is icy, so I decide to try again another day and spot a traditional in the same park.
After a chilly walk across the oval, I soon had this one in hand and the log signed!

Found in minutes then approached by a man with an axe asking if we were junkies. Funny adventure
A quick find on the way home from school pick up. Cache needs maintenance, the log is a wet clump at the bottom of the cache.

TFTC SL with DUSKgamer. Log was shoved down on the bottom - we stamped the business card instead. If we have time we will drop by and put a new log book in.
No-one around today as we stopped here for a quick find after seeing the new Lego Batman movie at Southland. Also spent some time playing on the playground. Thanks for bringing us here and placing the cache.
A nice easy find while taking the dog for his morning walk. Many dog walking muggles about but none too interested in what I was up to.. thanks..!!
Another quick find. Once at GZ checked a likely spot and had the cache. Signed a damp log and replaced. Fortunately all was quiet in this area even though there were some muggles and dogs around. TFTC
When I was younger I spent a lot of time scuba diving and the tenet we used was 'Plan the Dive; Dive the Plan'. I am now going to adapt this for geocaching...
It was a very humid 35°C+ day and the sun was on full beam. I decided that I would park the car at Karkarook Park and spend the afternoon grabbing 1 x Mystery cache, 1 x Multi cache and 15 x Traditional caches. I had an excellent time cycling and caching with 16 smileys and zero DNFs. To get the Multi, and the final smiley, I decided to load the bike up and use the car for a park and grab. It was a quick find. I had successfully completed my plan...and that is where this tale should end.
Now we get to the part that I am going to call 'Cache Greed'. I define this as that psychological phenomenon that occurs when you have completed all the caches planned for the day and you think...'Just one more won't hurt'. Let me tell you it can!
After completing the Multi I noticed that this cache was close by so I decided to walk to it (Sliding Door moment#1). When I got there it was a quick find. I then walked back to my car. The whole process took about 5-7 minutes. As I got into the car it started raining.
I turned the car around and headed for the nearby main road. As I turned onto this road the heavens opened. The rain was so hard that the windscreen wipers were useless. I had zero visibility so I pulled over into a vacant car park and waited for the rain to subside (Sliding Door moment #2). Whilst waiting I listened to the radio where there was talk about the heavy rain across Melbourne. After 5 minutes the rain had slowed enough that I had good visibility.
I set off again. I was soon at a junction where if I turned right I would be retracing my route to get me back home so I chose this option (Sliding Door moment #3). As I turned there was a bit of pooled water but only about 2-3 inches deep so I continued. I proceeded along the road when once again the rain started getting heavier. I slowed down and was looking for somewhere to pull over. Suddenly the water was deeper and getting deeper. The car behind me was too close for me just to slam the brakes on.
The engine stalled and there I was in a car watching the water rising and suddenly a stream of 4WD and a couple of trucks went past. Each one created a wake that washed over the bonnet and pushed the car deeper into the water. I opened the windows slightly (that's what they do in the movies!). Eventually I had to bail out through the passenger window. It was like the Dukes of Hazard although I looked more like Boss Hogg than Bo or Luke. I was the first to get stranded but not the last!
Some of the staff from a local shop called over and kindly offered to help push the car out of the water. We did this however by now the damage had been done. I was just glad that all were safe and that I got a chance to see the best of community spirit.
So what do I take from this experience...'Plan the Cache; Cache the Plan'; 'Cache Greed' is real and can have serious consequences; In Melbourne it might be advisable to carry the 'yak' every time you go caching.
Will this stop me succumbing to 'Cache Greed'?...I very much doubt it...I am an addict and proud of it.
TFTC!

Fast find using description and clue: co-ords seemed a bit out, but that could have been my phone.
Signed log, thanks for the cache.
Signed log, thanks for the cache.
Nice find in a park I've never been before. The logbook's a little wet but managed to sign. Thank you - Sashinka
Found it. Bit exposed but rehid as per clue. Maybe some fresh log paper would be good too.
Fourth one in this series for the day. Plenty of four legged friends out today. A nice stroll to GZ followed by a quick find. TFTC
This one was a few metres out, but with the clue I managed to find it within a few minutes,
Thanks pjpantelis [:x]

Wow! The things you find caching. A random fly fishing casting pool... We did a cache here years ago in the night.... I'm glad we didn't find the pool then! The archery club was having a bbq, what a great day for being out and about! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Came out today to do the caches in the William Fry Reserve but the market was on. So came to do this one instead. Good hide. TFTC
Found this nice n quickly the log book was pretty damp may need changimg. On to your next enjoying the walk

I was out caching with Burge this evening around Kingston attempting to get the increasing number of new caches in the area under control. We managed 8 finds all up, but it was slow progress with about 5 DNFs. This was our third stop in the series and after a cold stroll through the park to get to GZ, the cache was found quickly with the help of the hint - there's really only one place that matched the description. Thanks for the cache, pjpantelis!

Coordinates were a bit off but I found it almost by fluke. But of a scary trek around the reserve at night, but a good, sneaky hide. Tftc
Today was another P366 day, and it was finally time to finish off the PJ Highett series!
After using many of them as P366 finds due to their close proximity to my home, I finally completed the series today. Another nice easy find.
Thanks PJ!

Parked near the fly fishing pavilion but no fish biting today. Nice stroll across what is a huge park complex. Had to use the hint as the GPS had me wandering. TFTC
My car was in for tyre rotation, alignment and check nearby, so I went for a 4 km. walk to search for some caches. Mixed success today. This was my first and an easy find. My thanks to pjpantelis for the cache.
Haven't had a many opportunities to get out lately and the weather hasn't been helping but will add a new log as soon as possible! Thanks for all the nice feedback guys
Find #2175
Had some time to kill before heading to my monthly book club meeting in Hampton so I decided to tackle a few newish caches that weren't too far off my regular communing route. Like others I have found a few in this park previously so had a good idea where to head to. Got freaked out for a moment when my torch landed on a cat staring back at me from behind the fence. Moved to a likely spot and had the cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache pjpantelis.

On such a nice Anzac day, we thought we'd do some cache maintenance and also pick up 3 more to get our 300 finds. Upon approach to gz, geoson 2 noticed a likely hiding place for this one and further investigation revealed what we were after. That's another of this series done and dusted, one more nearby and we should be done. TFTC.

This one needs a new log sheet. We used up one of the last spots on the existing log.
Since I have already found 2 caches in this series while I am in an unfamiliar part of town, it seems only right that I try and make it a hat trick. It's only a short stroll from the dingy little alleyway I was just in, to a beautiful sunny day in a lush green park. As I make my way to gz I stop for a minute to look around, and I realise just how lucky we are in this lucky country of ours. He I am, standing in this huge, wide open, absolutely free green space, available for anyone who wants to use it. Apart from an old man sitting on a bench by himself, and a distant dog walker, I have the whole place to myself. Where else in the world could we have that. Now, where was I Oh yeah, the cache. It was a quick and easy walk by with not a soul in sight. There are others not far away, but I really should head back to the car, and the mundane world of the muggles. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the 3 caches today pjpantelis. I'll be back for the rest another day.
Easy find it today gps got us right to it we read the clue and found it right away
As I walked up I thought that I had been caching here before - and I had - Two_Drews GC4A9NF was about 40 metres away. The hint made for an easier find than it might have been as the GPS was saying 11m at GZ. Still, there are not so many places to hide a cache around here. Thanks to pipantelis for putting it out.
Thought I would take advantage of a long weekend in Melbourne and got out the bike, intending on collecting a couple and then going home. 8 hours later!. Liked this little hide and the park is excellent. TFTC
I bribed my geo hubby into coming out for a cache and a frozen coke on this warm Friday evening. We did cache #4 and then I decided that it was too easy for the bribe of a coke so we ended up coming to tackle #3. Lucky hubby is a country boy and can walk in the dark as we made our way to this cache. Found it easy enough, even in the dark. It was about then I heard some murmurings of "is it time for a frozen coke yet?" I knew I was not going to squeeze another cache out of him! But I did SL TFTC
Find #2463. Found @ 23:16
An outing tonight to grab some this series that had popped up recently in one of my previously cleared out areas. A quick find one I expanded my search region and cranked up my head torch to brighter. I had the coordinates about 5m away from the published ones.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache pjpantelis

This was our target where we were heading this evening as StephanieK had asked if she could visit the park here. We had been here many times in previous years, so it was great to be able to return here and enjoy the playground. After our visit to the park there was time for a brief grab of the cache, but with darkness descending this was to be our last cache for our short little outing tonight.
Thanks to pipantelis I look forward to coming back and trying a few more of the new caches that have popped up around here.

While on my way home from a day of awards events, I stopped off at a few others along the way.
From number 2, I walked around to this one. Once there I found my self looking at a fence but no cache, so with the help of the hint I moved along to I came to something that matched and the cache was found.
**Thanks to *pjpantelis* for placing this cache.**

Find 157 @ 24 February 2016 3:36 PM thanks for this newly place cache it was a easy find with one muggle in view tftc
I often come to this park to walk my dog so i have found caches here already. Today i checked the geo ap to see if any new caches because ive only just worked out how to do pocket queries for new caches (i think) and was surprised that i was walking right past a cache! So in reading the logs i did a lap of the park past the car to pick up a pen and headed to gz. Signed log waited for muggles and dogs to walk past and replaced. This park is also a special place for me as living around the corner as a troubled teen, i ran away from home to this very spot. After several hours of feeling unloved i went back home. Ah the memories!!! Thanks for placing this cache here
Perfect weather today so headed out for another bike ride down this way where quite a few new ones had popped up recently. Unfortunately the awesome weather brought out the muggles as well so 2 searches I had to abort. Oh well, that's ok, another excuse for a bike ride.
Only one dog muggle in the park who was leaving the area as I was arriving. Then I had the whole place to myself and made the find nice and easily.
Thanks pjpantelis for the cache, the hunt and the fun.
