Quick spot by my eyes, extracted the container. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO another good hide.
A fun loop around with deanside. Returning home from an appointment, nice to grab this quick one. No tool required to extract log but a very clever cacheThanks niktiav for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Found on a lovely chilly misty afternoon after a lovely turkish meal and a little tatl bir ey. After a bit of searching around, something caught my eye. After not too long, the treasure was in hand. TFTC
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #27 - a 29,000 step walk through Essendon, Niddrie, and Maribyrnong. Walking from Valley Lake down to Buckley Street on a path that I had not cached on before. This was a beauty. Thanks from D B-A
Quick find after going back with a tool from the geovehicle, we have done it up finger tight so the next person should not require a tool like some before us
Decided to take a Sunday drive to find somewhere new to walk the geopup and find some caches. Niddrie offered a nice walking track along the creek with a few caches on offer, so off we went. Parked just near this cache and Andy was the one to spot it. Nice hide, so weve awarded a favourite point. TFTC
This was a great little hide. I think the foliage set the GPS off by a few metres. My partner kept going back to something that stood out but I kept dismissing. Eventually I went back to it and had to retrieve a tool. Good to get this one off my to do list. TFTC W074
I needed to do a pickup in Tullamarine, so I went a little early to look for some caches along the way. I looked in various places where the GPS pointed, then expanded my search and saw the obvious hide. Many thanks to niktiav for the cache.
On our way through from airport to CBD, urgent stop for lunch in Keilor then this little sequence of caches looked interesting so we assembled a bike and had a combined roll/stroll up to the viewpoint and down to the lake. Mrs O made the find after swapping sides. Good camo! TFTC.
I'm 99% sure I found it but didn't have a tool to get it and hands alone weren't going to do it.
As my guests were weary after the marathon race in the city, I left them to nap and I hatched a quick plan with spiffy- to test out his new speedy scooter on this rare sunny winter's day.
We started out at the quarry and zipped along the trail. By this stage, I was getting the hang of the accelerator and proudly scooted right up to GZ.
There were a few muggles in the playground, however they were not interested in a couple of people prodding along the garden edge. The cache caught my attention even though it looked right at home.
Nicely hidden niktiav

I had already found a cache this morning to continue my streak but when the weather turned out pretty good and Kristysadventures strongly suggested I try out the new scooter this afternoon (just so she could use my other one I'm sure). So we took an afternoon trip out this way and they have done a really good job of using this old quarry for housing.
We cruised around getting the ad lab and then along the bike trail southwards until it started getting dark and we headed back a different way with the lights on and a very fun afternoon was had.
Kristysadventures was straight onto this one and I have to say this was one of my favourites today so it's getting a favourite point.
Thanks niktiav for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Great cache and great hint. There was a new playground being put in whilst I was here so there was no muggles around. TFTC.

*Cache find # 14741.*
After the nearby CITO event was finished, I headed over to Valley Lake area and after a bit of a stroll around the area with McLookers & micaparamedic, I then headed off on my own on my bike and stopped by this one.
As soon as I saw it, I knew I was looking at the cache, the log was then extracted and signed.
**Thanks to niktiav for placing this cache.**

Captain Terror and I were out and about finding caches and ticking off LGA’s and we visited this spot. A nice quick find.
Thanks niktiav for the cache.

I had made a bold (for me) decision to fly to Melbourne for a weekend and the [Whittlesea Mega-Event](https://coord.info/GC8EW40). I've never been to Victoria really before this year, and here I am, twice in a month (a few weeks ago for work)! This trip is all about geocaching and with the events for the weekend complete, I am touring about with [Big Matt](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?u=Big%20Matt%20and%20Shell) for the second day now, grabbing some favourable geocaches before I need to be at the airport.
We're hanging around the west of the CBD and Yarra River and I spot this geocache a short distance away on the map, highlighted by its handful of favourite points. We navigated to the spot and parked up in the cul-de-sac. Chatting about ourselves, we wandered down towards GZ and it was clear this might be sneakily hidden. I chose one side, Matt chose the other and sure enough, I was on the wrong side.
He made a quick find and yeah, clever hiding place. Enough that muggles won't notice it, but a geocacher will find it. And the playground was thankfully deserted of muggles for us too. Logbook signed around 18:20 and we're off to the next. Thanks for this geocache, niktiav

We were in the area on other business but couldn't resist the opportunity to find a few caches at the same time.
This was a ripper of a hide and worthy of a favourite point from us.
Thanks niktiav for placing this cache here for us to find.
Chiefton!!!

We thought that we had found the cache almost as soon as we arrived but thought again as we were unable to move anything. We looked around a bit and decided that we were right so we had to ask Sebastian for something to help us. He was able to provide something that did the trick. Not sure why it was done up that tight in the first place. Clever hide. Thanks for placing it for us to find.
Some after-work caching with Geoturtle37, exploring this side of town.
Spotted something unusual straight away. Getting to the logbook was another story. Needed to search the geovehicle for something to persuade the cache to open. Don’t do it up so tightly peeps!!
A fav point for the creativity.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, niktiav

Looked everywhere. The only one i couldn’t get today in the valley lake/niddrie series/area. May have been snatched.
Spotted this one straight away and thought it must be the cache. Spent a long time trying to get to the log tho……..doh, so simple really. Deserves a favourite point for being a bit different. TFTC

Day Five: Wangaratta to Drysdale
The missing Victorian LGAs
Another cache that I picked at random within a needed LGA that turned out to be well above average. FP from me.
Thanks for the hide niktiav/Greg, and for my first find in Moonee Valley.

With the promise of suitable weather, we made our way toward Niddrie where the Valley Lake series beckoned. We were completely blown away by the change in surroundings, since we completed the geology lesson of the then very isolated Niddrie Quarry Earthcache ten years ago.
This micro definitely earns a FP from us today.
Thanks niktiav for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Another day out with Omegaman 1971 to finish off the year, this is one of the caches we found on our travels of the area, the roads were very quiet for a midweek day, but that made it easier to get around and most parks we visited seemed deserted.
Thanks niktiav for the cache.

Last caching day of the year, and last chance to get out and about for a few laughs with my buddy Rebel Acts.
Certainly didn't feel like a weekday, absolutely love Christmas holidays.
Cheers for the cache and the opportunity to add a smiley to the map.

Thanks for this great run of caches along Steele Creek. Today has been by far the nicest day of July. I have been really impressed by the roads, paths. stairways and houses in the valley.
I was lucky to get this one. I nearly gave up. Give me strength!!

A day of caching with day1976 in the western suburbs, there were periods of OK weather but there were also heavy rain showers.
Nice cache hide, looked around the opposite wall before day1976 spotted this one too

Ilukaperi and I found this cache on a quick caching adventure to the western suburbs as neither of us had really cached in this area before. TFTC!

BH spotted this straight away. Really enjoying the walk along the well prepared track. Thanks niktiav

A trip into The Burbs was in order today for SorceySal, myself and Bree the geopuppy.
The plan was to do the Valley Lake series and the River Views series doing most of them on foot to give us all a good stretch of the legs on a beautiful Summer's day in the mid20s.
We were lucky to spot this straight away, very clever
Thanks niktiav

This one had us scratching our heads and searching for quite some time. Previous logs suggested we should be looking in a slightly different place to where we we started, but as it turned out, we were right the first time. Very tricky hide! TFTC!
I had spent most of the day at home so I decided to go out for a walk. Spotted Valley lake on the map decided to go and explore.
My gps initially had me searching on the wrong side. I’ve seen this type of hide before but not this type of cache container. Very cool.
Thanks niktiav for the cache.

Love this hide. Great camo....had me looking for a little while and then I noticed something NQR, or maybe different.
Quiet day on a colder summer's day meant I didnt have to contend with any muggles.

Out and about with echidna44 for a bit of escaping in covid on this hot Cup Day. Thought I had cleared this area out some time ago but here they are again. This was a pleasure to walk on the flat under trees to get here. Spotted what it was straight away but moved on as I could on access it. Resorted to a tool and soon in hand. This is a very well constructive well made cache. Thanks niktiav
Day trip to Niddrie with 2peasinapod2012. With no hint, the 4 of us looked everywhere. Even read some previous logs. Then my wife found it!! Wow! Very tricky. Took some photos to remember it by. Very creative hide. Gets a favourite point from me. TFTC niktiav.
Out with team OzArtek for a long awaited caching fix after lockdown.

TFTC! Can’t believe how many times we looked at it. Great camo! Unfortunately no log inside the cache.
It took longer than we'd like to admit! But worth the time and what a clever hide. Thank you!
Thanks for this fun find! Put a sticker sheet in for the next person to find!

Spent some time poking about in the complete wrong spot until I turned around and it stuck out immediately. Very clever hide TFTC!
Came back determined and nailed it!!!!! And the "no clue" infuriated us so much! What a find, so satisfying!
Well executed geocache. Coordinates bounced around a bit so worked a process of elimination. A favourite in though and design.TFTC
Out for a drive, we stopped to find this well hidden, beautifully crafted cache. A favourite point, thanks niktiav
This cache gets a favorite point from me. I like the effort that went into the hide.
After searching out a few false leads I was able to find the cache without too much of a problem, just had to wait out a few muggles.

A quick find today after the gnome CITO event close by. Nicely concealed cache. Thanks for taking us here niktiav
Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 2nd of 5 finds for the day, and the 226th of 242 finds for the trip.
Stopped off for a few caches after finishing the day's training, going via Keilor & Niddrie, for an EarthCache, a Letterbox, and some Traditionals.
This one was next, and took longer to find than expected. Checked in a few places then spotted something interesting which, on closer investigation, resulted with CIH. Signed the log and then replaced as found. TFTC niktiav, nicely done!

A neat little park, and a neat little cache. Fantastic design, and well executed. A great one fo finish off my night. Thanks niktiav!
Looking on the map I wasn't sure how to approach GZ.
But pulling up close by made a quick entry.
Glad the rains were keeping everyone away.
Made for an easy search.
MMM what is that.
FAve from me for the effort.

We were so close to this DNF and it was still daylight, although that was fading by the time we got here today. I couldn’t remember this cache until I stepped into the garden, when it all came flooding back to me. Oh yes! We spent ages here last time.
Today I took a deep breath, kept calm and thought. I followed the finding device till I’d got to GZ and looked around. Mmmmm. What is that doing there? I investigated and sure enough this surefoot had found the cache within a minute of arriving! One more blue spot smiling happily on my map. Thanks for the challenge and showing us this delightful little reserve.
