Logs
Celebrating Redcliffe's first Parkrun and went for a short walk with Parkrun/geo-grandson. Log is very damp. TFTC
Took a pleasant stroll along the esplanade to collect this cache. Never seem to find the area quiet, no matter what the time. Approaching from the covered side, found the cache. Cache and log have seen better days. Thanks for placing this cache 4ando.
#4449. I flew over to Brisbane from New Zealand on Friday and spent two nights in Caloundra. Todays mission was to find a few caches in the Caloundra area before driving south to Brisbane. After lunch I decided to have a look for a few caches in the Redcliffe area. Parked nearby and went for a wander over to the GZ. Missed it on the first sweep so took a lot longer than it should have to locate the container. Unfortunately in the process of getting the log from the cache I broke the cable tie. Oophs. Sorry but didn't have a replacement tie with me in the reduced caching toolkit. Signed the log and left the cache sticking up in the soil. Thanks for the cache 4ando. So sorry about mucking up your cache.
Note Wellington NZ is hosting the "Wellington Geocaching Event 2018" on 21-22 October 2018. Hope to see some Australian cachers over there and give it a chance to become a Mega.

Found the right side and was difficult to get lid off and part of log wet mush- tftc
On a beautiful afternoon at Redcliffe, fulldeck was out there and onto it. The log was a bit squashed in, not easy to get the lid off but done. Tftc
aaaargh! what a great day for a pirate adventure! Blue sky, warm sun, balmy briny, n plenty o treasure to find. Perfect! Oh, and plenty of muggles to make scrub the deck n walk the plank for a little diversion, even better! TFTC
TFTC. Walked around from Redcliffe jetty. Beautiful weather today. Hope this will go towards the pirate challenge.
Tftc. All smiles for this one with my original partner back could feel better about it
After a long search soon found when we were on the right side of the fence TFTC
This was our third attempt at this one. It was a bit quieter here today. We were unsure which side of the fence we should be searching, so we stopped and read a number of the previous logs which gave us a hint and then we found the hide about 2m away from where we had been standing! TNLNSL TFTC
Found it easily despite muffles everywhere on the other side of the fence! Cache needs some maintenance. Log too wet to sign.
Lots of rubbish on the road side where I tried looking, could not get to the other side of the fence as it is full of rubbish bins and portable toilets. Must be events on over Easter.
My 50th find! TFTC! It was good fun, not too hard after we got past a few gps difficulties.
We were out in Redcliffe today and thought of adding a few smiley's on the map . We parked within 25 meters of GZ. Once we arrived at GZ the hunt commenced. After a bit of poking around in and around the bushes we decided to read some previous logs, At the same time we discovered something out of place and investigated soon discovering the cache . Thanks for the cache 4ando . TFTC!!!
2nd time lucky. no muggles. and a keener sense of direction. it was like where are you. oh there you are, TFTC thanks for bringing back to this nice area
Found after searching the middle and wrong side...log slightly damp, but still good. TFTC
Out with the hubby today and pulled into this carpark to get further directions on where to go I looked on the maps and thought what caches are around here and needing one for my daily streak we had a look at what was close by. Thats when we saw we had parked less than 30m from this one so this was it After waiting for some muggles to move away then after a few mins of searching I saw a tether and thought ohh maybe ahhh YES!!! Wow that was neatly tucked away. TFTC
My GPS sent me to the middle of the road, but I searched and eventually found it. TFTC
Dropped Muggle son off to do a spot of fishing and set off to have another look for this cache, been before. Didn't take long before I found something a little out of place and further inspection proved I was right. Signed the log and replaced cache as found. TFTC
Not found at 09:30 on our 19th day on holiday in Australia.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
A quick find while working in the area. Went straight to it! Signed log, nice and dry. TFTC
Took the kids out to the lagoon for a swim this morning.
Stopped to grab a few smiles on the way home.
This was the first stop.
was somewhat daunted by the type of plants at GZ but the cache was located in one of the first places I looked. Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache 4ando. We spent a lot of time at Suttons as a kid.
Find number 286 for me!

Find number 286 for me!
The GPS didn't want to give us clear orders on which side we should look. We followed our geo senses and added our name. TFTC, 4ando
When this series first published I found all but this one and possibly one other. For some reason the gps I used to have took me in an entirely different spot. This time with different equipment I was taken to a more appropriate location where, walking around the mulberry bush a few times, I finally made the find. Container contents showed and smelled signs of recent hydration. Thanks for a great hide 4ando.
We started the year with a big family holiday at Margate - it was pretty cool to rent a whole house for week and spend time with my brother and sister and their respective families, and my mum - all under the same roof. We had a fabulous time and created some really special memories.
This was our last day, and we still had 2 geocaches outstanding along the shore, so we had to find them today and sign our names. the kids didn't mind at all because it meant they got to play in the playground and walk along the beach collecting shells again!
Thanks for the cache - well placed and secured!

Put our noses to the ground and came up with the goods pretty quickly. I did like the way the container was secured and easily accessed, but still hidden
Having a lovely meander along the waterfront with family and ducked off to re-attempt this cache. Had the same issues as my last visit until I read a previous log that indicated I was on the wrong side of the fence. Not long after, I had the cache.
Log is dry but the bag is a tad damp.

Doing the September challenge and as I found myself near here with NyssaFlutterby and was needing one more E for the challenge, we ducked in here and parked right at GZ, which was lucky considering the crowds out here on this gorgeous day. Cache spotted nice and quickly, I then spent more time flicking ants off me than signing the log while Nyssa laughed and looked on.
Thanks for the cache 4ando.

After a couple of min hunting my 4 year old found a used syringe.... decided to give this one a miss today.
glad we found this one.i have spent many weekends sailing just off shore from here even if it was 30+ years ago. thank you for placing this cache . tnln sl
Stortigirls was determined to continue to clear the little green boxes in this area, so we parked as close as possible. We jumped out of the car and began searching. While stortigirls searched one side, I wandered around the other. By the time I got there, she had found the cache. We added our names to the log, returned the cache to its spot and continued on our way. TFTC
Pulled up near gz and after a short bout of cache blindness (again-not my finest caching day today) found the hide staring right at me. Tftc 4ando
Tricky little hide but got it .
Beaut park and views .
Thanks for the cache invite .

Found with3LG and The X-Trailers after returning from a cruise of Sth Pacific Islands. TFTC
Out and about on the dark side on the geocycle. This was my launch point for the day. It seemed to be fairly central for my targets.
The play area was quite busy with a group of mums doing an exercise class beside it. I was worried that I would have to leave this one, but GZ is in a pretty good spot.
A nice quick find thanks.

We’re up this way today to do the nearby Earthcache. With that done we stopped by here and quickly grabbed this one. It was early in the morning so we were lucky enough to be able to park right in front of this one and use the car as cover to easily make the find.

Out for our regular Thursday caching day with Lenore1972 & Nikid1. We spent a long time searching for this one. We weren't sure which side of the fence it would be on (although we thought the car park side was more likely) & there was lots of rubbish around & syringe packets so we were quite wary about where we were putting our hands. We had a read of past logs to try & glean some hints & had a pretty wide search area as the co-ords had been a bit out on previous caches.
I had another idea of what we should maybe be looking for & Nikid1 finally came up with the cache. Log signed & cache replaced as found.

Was out here today with KerriMG and Lenore1972and boy we made hard work of this.
I love this park as years ago I lived nearby I would come here a lot. The rain was coming and we weren't all that happy with where we were due to all the rubbish (concerned about sharps). Well we all poked this, tried that, this side, that side. Then Kerri in reading through some old logs made a suggestion and then it wasn't long till I had the cache in hand. Moral of story there is no need to go clawing through all the rubbish as where it is is quite ok.

Slowly knocking off the Friends series put out by our geroes. Whilst looking for the pot I found this big bug crawling on the wall. TNLSSL TFTC
On our trip around Australia we stoped here to grab the Cache.
Thank's to show us this beautiful place.

Had looked for this one some months ago but it wasn't where we thought it would be. Local workers thought we'd lost something and offered to help in their break time! Only thing lost was our caching eyes. Had a re-think and returned today when in the area. Spied it straight away! So near and yet so far... TFTC 4ando. Must complete the series.
1968 - After a meeting on the bayside I headed north to grab a cache in the Friends series. This wasn't my first one I attempted to grab though. But after a decent search I headed up to this one, I parked nearby and walked over to where I needed to search. I had a look in a couple of places and found it in good condition at 7:49pm. Thanks for another cache in this good and different series 4ando.
#PrimeFit - still on this kick - so far not dead![xx(] Today, a bike ride around the Redcliffe peninsula coastline. Caching of course, that makes sense. 32kms, 3:30 hours, 10 finds and 3 DNFs - got home before the curfew was set. All good.
Quick find in the first spot I checked - I got the approach exactly right this time.
Thanks for placing this cache, 4ando. Found in good condition.

Geowife and I are out on our Sunday forage for Friends finds.
No luck today, and the GPS wasn't much assistance jumping back and forth across the road. Perhaps have to wait the the repeat season...
