Staying at Ingenia on back beach made it convenient to go for a wander and collect this little series. The track from the bridge was covered in water at high tide, so I decided to walk along the beach and go in that way. After lots of bush bashing I stupidly increased the terrain rating for myself but eventually made it to the cache. Tricky little one to find unless you approach from the right angle! TFTC
We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort at Gold Coast and then at the Big4 NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort at Arrawarra (Coffs Harbour), with some other as yet undetermined overnight stops along the M1 route there & back. Will be attempting to log a broad selection of cache types whilst in Queensland (at least one each of Trad, Multi, Mystery, Letterbox, Earth, Wherigo, Virtual, & AdLab), including a visit to Queenslands oldest geocache GC8E - Queens land. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.Today (day 7) we cached around the South West Rocks area. Started off with a morning cache collecting circuit walk (12 caches found) commencing from our accommodation at the Big4 Ingenia Holidays caravan park, across the pedestrian footbridge over South West Rocks Creek to Back Beach, following the sandy bush track out to the breakwall and then around to New Entrance Road, and then through the backstreets & pathways to return to the caravan park. After lunch we headed out to Arakoon to visit the Trial Bay Gaol ruins, and then collected a couple of MultiCaches, a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache, and a Traditional cache on our way back to camp. The rest of the late afternoon was spent lazing around in the swimming pool. This was the 2nd of 16 finds for the day (day 7), and 94th find of the holiday. This was the next cache we came to on our circuit walk, and it was another nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Nice themed camo on this one. TFTC bobbiesgirl.Find #6729
Found in the same week as Valentine's Day in another leap year ! No snakes today so far, just a multitude of mozzies that I'm kind of prepared for. Tftc
Tftc love the Camo. Saw the first snake of the season just before getting to the cache as well! Found with red_ear_slider
Nice Camo! Found with Portstevo after he spotted a little yellow belly black snack on the path. Tftc, on to the next adventure!!
I headed out in the geo-car for a few more caches today as I head further south.Ive finally made it to South West Rocks where I had booked a nights accommodation.Once I had checked into my room, I thought Id head out for at least a couple nearby caches.I found your cache, Empty Head. This is worth of a FPHi Bobbiesgirl, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Ah valentines day.Every day should already be considered valentines day i reckon.Perhaps the fourteenth is the single day of the year where indifference can reign instead. I found this one surprisingly quickly. Something a little bit different, that's for sure. Thanks bobbiesgirl for creating a cache here that's not just another systema/mint tin in the bush. Find number 3990 without adlabs and 4338 with.
Went on the wrong path and we now feel a little disoriented but found our way eventually TFTC!
Empty head indeed!! Lovely walk this morning with caches dotted along the track to find. Thanks for your time and assistance bobbiesgirl. I had a lovely time finding these. TFTC
Day 5 and our final day for SWR. Mrs Snakepitter thought that we would start with the few caches still to go along this track between town and the breakwall. Well.... a big fail. On our bikes, crossed the bridge (town end) and started off for this one. The track narrowed to a goat track and the terrain started getting softer so not soo good for bikes, had to get off and push. We managed to get nearly to this one before Mr Snakepitter came off the bike as the front wheel dug into the soft sand while the rear wheel snaked. Not to be upstaged, at the same time Mrs Snakepitters managed to become entangled in some brambles, While I righted my bike, I went back to see what scratches Mrs Snakepitters had done to her bike. (She was not impressed), Her bike now in a safe spot, it was time to disentangle her from the brambles and pull the barbs out of her. (it was so much fun)
We continued to this cache, log signed and back on the bikes. We decided to call it on this trail, as it was just too narrow and even more narrower when we were pushing our bikes back through the soft sand.
Still a great series we will be back, but will go from the other end and probably walk it.
A fav point for getting Mrs Snakepitters all entangled, it was amusing.
Thanks bobbiesgirl for the caches.

Total Cache Finds 14506,
Headed off on this track today while in SWR. Only got to this location before I decided the rest of the track was for another day. This one was a quick find. TFTC
Im up the coast for a few days to meet up with family and i thought id use the trip as an excuse to grab a few caches.
It was raining as i drove into town. However it was a nice temperature so the sprinkling cooled me off as i headed down the trail.
This was the first cache i checked. I made a quick find and after signing, headed on to the next one.
Thanks.

Found with nissan 65. We decided to walk into town this morning to get coffee. We left accommodation in ocean st and headed down the hill to the breakwall. Few people out and about. We found all caches except the first one. We will head back tomorrow as we have to pick up mangrove jack as well. Thankyou so much for your efforts in placing all your caches
Found with cullum68 we decided to walk into town to get coffee this morning, and collect this trail on our way. All were found but one but will be back tomorrow for another try at it thank you for the cache
We didn't make a quick find here, as the etrex pointed us up the wrong geotrail. After nearly giving up, we noticed a better geotrail, within a few metres and soon had CIH. Our etrex was probably getting tired like us. TFTC
Next one on the trail and the last for my South West Rocks pause. Followed the geotrail until I hit the Smilax and then backtracked to where I had stepped over the hide. Log signed and replaced as found.

Our youngest was the first to find and got the shock of his life- the rest of the family had a great laugh
Spending a few days around the SWR and Kempsey area and we had some incredible weather for our caching adventures. Busy area with campers and holiday makers returning to the area. Thanks to the COs, especially bobbiesgirl, for the assortment of cache types in and around town.
Out and about caching early in the morning while going for a walk. Found and log signed. TFTC Bobbies Girl

The GPS took me on a roundabout way to reach GZ and I had no idea what I was looking for. However, great coordinates helped me when the GPS was right on zero again and I spotted what had to be the camo holding the cache, and very strange camo it was too. The log was very slightly damp so I returned the container so it was not on the ground as it had been. Thanks for a great hide with camo I have not seen before.
Bit of a bash of the track. Circling to narrow in on GZ. Something tucked away? Great hide

#15034. Day 5 of a short holiday and today Robmc and I are caching around the SW Rocks area. Early on we rolled over 2 big milestones - Rob - 24 000 and me 15 000. We finished off the Tamban Series and completed the BH Fruit & Nut Trail, gathering a few others along the way for a total of 45 for the day. It was a lovely day out in the bush.
I am sure Rob and his GPSr are being difficult this afternoon. A bit of bush-bashing instead of an easy walk in. A nice hide here - we have stumbled across a few like this but none quite as small. Once again first on the new log sheet.
Thanks bobbiesgirl

Day five of out quick trip north. BettyBoo3747 and I spent today around South West Rocks. We finished off the Tamban Trail and the Fruit an Nut trail caches, then came back into town and walked the back beach..
After a very wet night and morning, it turned into a very nice day.
Not completely empty! It had a full set of teeth.
Thanks, Robmc.
