Found a likely bison tube hiding spot but no cache today. What an interesting spot!
A hide with a difference, but Mrs SKI was on song so after a lot of wandering round by both of us she found it.Our focus today was on a number of Ad Labs and associated bonuses in East Maitland and Morpeth as well as some high D and T caches where we could work our TOTTs. Of course there is always a few other caches to distract us along the way.An overcast, but reasonable day where the rain stayed away.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kingfisher_au.**SKI Pair****
Looked a fair while found where I think it should be but full of water so no luck
Find # 10013Nice quick find.Great hide and well worthy of a favourite point. TFTC kingfisher_au 23 December 2023 08:47
We found the old hostel first. Nice old building. A quick find at GZ because we knew this would be something different. Found both containers. Probably need to drop another fave here for clever reuse of the infrastructure. Thanks kingfisher_au.
After spending way too long turning around on the same spot it wasn't until my youngest started doing their own hunting that I thought to check an area I'd dismissed. Found the original, and soaking, cache in the same spot. Signed the new one and put both back.
We’re impressed. We took a bunch of selfies in relief and celebration but Ben only airdropped me the one where I look bad. Kept following our caches and follow the story of our divorce.
Found it after a quick search. 2 actual caches in this one. One was super wet, need a small hand to reach it. The other dry and tagged! TFTC
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12427.
I’ve been meaning to do this one for a while so it was good to finally tick it off today. I took a while to click to the possible hide and eventually picked the rights spot.
Thanks kingfisher_au for the cache.

I cannot remember if i have been here before. Anyway, it is an important historical place in East Maitland history. GZ was good for me today, and a quick devilish find was made. Sneaky. TFTC. Fav fro the hisorical aspect.
cache was ok log was good but replaced it with a new cache and new log, the paper is waterproof paper if it gets damp you can still write on it
Found by Isobel and Nathan

Old cache still in hiding spot with wet log

Found whilst trying to avoid the gaze of onlookers. Very sneaky. Signed the log but it seemed there was a second log that had fallen down? Wasn't able to reach it.
Stopped here after completing the nearby AL ... luckily, the area was muggle free because I'd certainly have attracted attention while I wandered around and around and around. Eventually, though, just as I was about to give up, I spotted something worth checking out ... and while there was nothing there, it put me on track to grab a smiley.
A very tricky I must say ... I don't often see a hiding spot that I haven't seen before these days but this is one. I'll be storing it the back of my brain for future reference, and that being the case, it's got to get a fave point from me, with much thanks.

Think the geo is missing?????
If it’s where I think it should be it’s not there

Finally found after 3 attempts, mainly due to our beginners lack of thinking outside the square.
#7886 (23 of 23 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)
Picked up The Hademobile this morning after a big service. So of course I need to test it to make sure everything is back to working in tip top condition...
So decided on a 100min+ drive to Maitland - as you do.
I'd noticed the caches placed at the Walka Waterworks. Looks like a nice few hours out. Pity a few of them are Missing in Action - someone needs to give a hurry up to that slow boat from China... One was muggle central and one I just didn't try as I felt too conspicuous.
Got twenty three including a Multi and a Virtual. And then there's the long drive home in the dark... why does that truck matching my speed on the motorway have one headlight and no tail lights?
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Final find. Parked a short distance way. Unfortunately I arrived just as workers were clearing out a=of a nearby car park. But that gave me time to wander, look and think. So by the time the coast was clear I was pretty sure I knew where the cache was hiding.
And I was right.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Time to head home after significantly upping my finds this month.

Out caching today along with ilook4geo and looked for this cache. The co-ords were spot on and good use has been made of a simple hiding place. Log was signed and all was replaced as it had been found. Thank you to kingfisher_au for placing this cache.
Came along here with goingplaces2 for a cache hunt. This was a more tricky find, log was soon signed and all was replaced as found. TFTC.
Thanks Kingfisher this one was a real doozy I was ecstatic when I found it such a good use of the area. after completing a lot of yours on the Trail today I grabbed a few in town before dinner TFTC and a favourite point from me because this is a type that I have never seen before
A great urban hide, making good use of the features.
