I've set out to find 40 caches today so that I hit a milestone during the event this afternoon. The rain did not let up, so I am grateful for the moral support of DARKSIDEDAN for the whole walk along Majura Parkway! We are drenched through to the skin. Thanks for the cache, AngelG!
*Copy and Paste Log!*On a trip down from the Illawarra for International Geocaching Day and in hopes of snagging my #1000th Find! I saw this trail a while back and new it would be a great day out but wasn't too sure when I could get down here to do it!Finally, today was the day and I set out with a buddy! We rented E-Bikes and set off! We started from the Ikea carpark and ventured North collecting every cache along this trail! We got stuck in a bit of rain and had to take cover under one of the bridges along the way but still the mission was there. Get me to my 1000th find! It was a great day out overall! Finished the day at Ikea for some meatballs and a hotdog! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this trail! It was a whole lot of fun and I can't wait to return to Canberra to continue finding a lot more caches!
It was time to get the bikes out again today so onto the back of the car they went as we headed off to the Majura Cycleway. We found a place to park then headed off in the reverse direction. We didn't realize that it was slightly uphill a lot of the way until we turned for the return journey home. Still a good decision as the ride back was easy and even allowed us to divert for a few other caches. There was a variety of hides to keep us guessing, and a couple of quite challenging ones. We awarded a few well deserved favourites. That finished it was off to the CBR Geoart series. These were a bit easier going as there was good space to pull well off the road.Another big day!Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache AngelG.**SKI Pair****
Its been a while since I had a mega day of geocaching, and I was due for my yearly attempt to set a new PB for caches found per day. I awoke at 5am this morning and headed out into the freezing cold on a cache grabbing extravaganza. I started the day focusing on some AL stages in and around North Canberra (freezing my fingers off), before going out to the Hughie Edwards VC Rest Area. I did the power trail along Majura Parkway getting all the way to IKEA! and then returned via a slog up Mt Majura. Highlights of the day were almost hitting a kangaroo 5mins after I left home, getting my shoes wet multiple times, climbing Mt Majura for the first time, and the delicious salted caramel biscuits I brought along. TFTC!
A buddy of mine was after EUC ride so I took him on his first ever cashing adventure.TFTC,Slarti & Jadon.
Another great find on our geocaching journey in Canberra. My fiance and I had a wonderful time exploring and finding caches during the Mega event. Thanks to the owner for placing them cache!
Up at the Easter Canberra geobash Mega with the family and the kids wanted a scooter ride so this trail was perfect. It was pretty warm so glad I wasnt walking plus we had limited time here so had to make the most of it. We DNFed the 2 two D4 caches because the kids were getting bored waiting for me to look and we had to get to the end of the trail before dinner for the pick up point. Thanks AngelG for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Riding the cycleway with The Morris on a great Canberra day. Three sets of eyes.... quick find! TFTC AngelG.
Finally we are in Canberra for the GeoBash.Today Mr Morris headed off with Pprass et al to walk Isaac Ridge and Lady Morris joined Geono for a bike ride along the Majura Cycleway. Different day, different experiences but all good fun. Thanks for contributing to our holiday AngelG
Find No: 9229. Down from Newcastle NSW, in Canberra for the Geobash MEGA, thanks for the cache AngelG!!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Headed out for a big day in Canberra! Thought we would slip into town along the Majura cycleway then hit up some labs and trails in town. Well that plan was foiled by a late start and then the terrain and difficulty of finding the caches in long grass. took the best part of 4 hours for us to complete the cycleway trail, replacing logs as best we could. Wet feet and shoes, did not make this a comfortable journey.Once completed we tackled a couple of caches near the airport shops before heading to catch the light rail back towards Canberra Park in time to jump into the geocruiser for the Snapper Feast event.TFTC AngelG27
Another awesome trip across the Nullarbor and we have finally made it!!Our trek to the Capital Geobash in Canberra, from our home town of Busselton, WA, via a few minor deTours. Now the fun begins!!Out on the Majura Cycleway today, an early start after parking the car and scooting down the track.A few easy caches, a few tricky caches, some dreaded ones over in the long grass, watching out for those slithery creatures but luckily we didnt see any of those!!The spiders, never seen so many in one spot We came up trumps, with logs signed and caches returned as found, a couple with photos to show the condition of the cache container.Where we wander, the places we go, the people we meet, always make for an amazing adventure while we geocache.A big thanks to the COs for making our journey all the more interesting:-)TFTC
In Canberra for the mega. Out for a bike ride today. The weather is brilliant and we are having a great time. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
We found your cache today 25 March 2024 11:44am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC AngelG27
Cache #22 of Majura Cycleway Found quickly once we looked in the right placeTFTC!
TFTC! Continuing to conquer these Majura caches with eriicamurphy. Quickly logging 22-27 as we sit in the shade. Its so hot today, but its worth it.
Day #1 of 2 [7/5/23]
With four geo-events in Canberra, I decided on heading over to join with some of the fun. Unfortunately, I couldn’t join in with the Saturday events. However, that didn’t stop me with the fun and very wet Sunday events. On my way over to Canberra, I found two caches along the way. Next was breakfast at Macca’s before heading off to the CITO. A different type of CITO to attend. Next, I did some caching around Aranda Bushland to find some of the caches around the area. Morning Tea went down a treat and before the lunch time event a group of us went and found a couple of caches. Then the rain and hail came down which made getting to the lunchtime event interesting. A nice fun and wet Star Wars day event before heading off to the next set of caches with another small group of us. Toy Hunters, Sebass19 and myself then headed off to lunch and afterwards parted ways. Due to the amount of rain over the afternoon, I decided not to head out again for more caching.
Day #2 of 2 [8/5/23]
After a great night sleep, it was time to head off for today’s adventures. After the crazy weather Canberra had yesterday, it was nice to clear blue sky. I started the day with breakfast at Hungry Jacks and I headed over to the Queanbeyan Cemetery for the new AL’s. Then I headed over to the Majura Cycleway to find the south end of the trail. I started at #14 and finished up at #44, only skipping four of them for the return trip. Only one DNF and that was on #29. About half of the trail needs some TLC and because of this, **a few of them were signed as JM**. It was a great couple of hours riding my bike up and back and now time for lunch but not before finding a couple more caches just up the road. KFC for lunch and then I headed off home only finding one more cache about half way home. It was a great couple of days away.
P.S. I’ll be back soon, to find the rest of the trail.
TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring enjoyment to the Geocaching community. TFTE’s and TFTC’s!

Signed as PP to save space, rather than writing our full moniker. Second AngelG27 find of the day.
I wonder just how many planes flew overhead as we worked our way down the cycleway, but best guess somewhere between 10 and 20 (it felt like a lot though).
All ok with the cache. Thanks AngelG27

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Today, as it was a dry day, we decided to attack the Majura Cycleway cache series, using our E-Scooters. Because of the overall downwards incline, we started near the top, and ended up at Fairbairn Avenue (Car provided).
Along the way, because of dying phones, we missed several caches. We couldn't find eight caches and found a further 29. We still have to present at a few more maybe next week.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on Thursday 8th April 2023. TFTC, AngelG27.

#3282 Having started this series from #1-7 in May, it was time to come back and continue.
Loaded up the bikes with DeadThief this morning and continued through to #27. A successful overall run with only one DNF.
A nice quick find here a little closer to the trail than some others. Thanks AngelG27 for the cache.

Big day today! Was chatting with FejerFam about caching last night and he suggested that we could do Majura Cycleway. Great idea! I have been eyeing them off ever since I only did 8 previously. So started at 11am where I met up with FejerFam in Dickson. Then ride up the CCT Trail to get to Majura Cycleway and then we profit. The sky was quite cloudy and we did end up getting rained on quite a bit. Took shelter at 27 Majura Cycleway where we fuelled up too. Then kept going until we reached the end. Then took a ride down to a nice burger place where we ate up at 4pm. Then FejerFam had to go and gave me the option to come in the car with him which I declined. I have a lot more caches to do! Then spent another 3 hours going around Canberra picking up more caches as I go. Good day!
All logs signed as EE + FF except for the ones I found by myself
Thanks to all the COs for placing and thanks to FejerFam for accompanying me!

This morning EthisEthat asked if I would like to come and attempt to grab some caches along here. So we set out at 11 am on our bikes for Dickson, hoping to be at Brod Burger 2 to 3-ish. After finishing the track, we headed for brod burger, picking up caches along the way. We got there by 4:30.

#2569 Twentieth of 24 unique finds on the first day of brief vacation in Canberra. Easy find after a short search. TFTC
I searched for a while before finding this one, if your initial search turns up empty try moving left ... I found it 5m in that direction ... TFTC
Cold start to the day but decided to ride south to north - allowing a downhill run back to the car, and early so as not to be disturbed by the commuters. TFTC
As a reluctant bikalist... cyclist.... I attacked these caches and knew I wanted to get them all but probably wouldn’t manage before my bum felt like it was going to cave in. Made it half way up the trail and that was enough up hill for me. I turned back towards ilea where I had stashed my car for the day and made an effort to get the caches I could without going into extensive long grass (hot day/summer/snakes). Sorry for the generic log but it’s hard to log power trails any other way TFTC
I'd long been meaning to tackle this lovely, long string of caches along the cycleway. When Contesta mentioned she had yet to do them as well we hatched a plan to collect them all on this beautiful late summer's day.
We left a car at Molonglo Reach and brought bikes and another car (a perk of team caching!) up to park near #1.5, then started the mostly downhill ride down to #44.
This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious location at GZ. Thanks Contesta for a great day out, and thanks AngelG27 for this cache.

Out on a lovely ride up and down the Majura parkway to do this trail. It was a beautiful day, but got a bit windy towards the end. Thank goodness we rode downhill and did the caches uphill - it made it a lot easier!! Thanks for this one!
After finding my 1000th geocache earlier today, my kids and I came along here to hide a cache. After hiding the new cache, I continued on to find this one while I was here. A nice easy find. TFTC
Seventeenth cache of the day! We are riding the majura parkway getting all the caches. It’s a beautiful day and we hope to get the rest! Thanks!
Sunny day. Around the lake cycling we turned to this direction. Found the cache - quick no problem.
Added a slip of paper as the original log is only half there and there is nowhere to sign. Rolled the old into the new - hope this helps! TFTC
Felt a little nervous having to walk through the long grass on such a warm day. Silvereyes put a new log in as we couldn’t sign the one in there. TFTC
Today is about "the steps". I'm expecting to have trouble getting my daily 10000 at the start of the week, so collecting extras this weekend. TFTC.
Out for a Saturday walk of Majura Cycleway in search of 44 caches. Easy find today TFTC log is nearly full
Found quite easily in the morning sunshine. The log sheet was nearly full, only one slot left so just about due for replacement.

Today Geowife had a Baby Shower to attend in Canberra, I thought this would be a good opportunity to get to Canberra for some powercaching in the 4 hours I had spare. She dropped me and Geobike off at the Ikea near #44 and the clock was started. Mission to complete the set before she was done. Long story short, I made it! Just, I had gotten all the way to #1 by the time she called asking where I was
Thank you for all that participated to put the Majura Cycleway Trail together, the caches were varied and interesting, which is rare for a power trail! All logs signed "11/5/19 SH"
This Cache: All good here

Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
A few days stopping at the EPIC.
Today was the day we decided to do the Majura bike trail, a few spits of rain in the early session but this did not stop a most enjoyable bike ride. Our companians for today was the Snakepiters.
Quite a number of the log books need maintenance before the influx of cachers who will be attending the Mega event.
Thanks for placing this cache AngelG27

I left from the coast early as I had this series and anything in-between it within my sights, starting at no.one and worked my way through in order.
It was quite and eventful day that involved Roos , Brumbies,Magpies...yep magpies and all up close too!,a flat tyre near no 10 ,and a random nose bleed??
It took my a while to get started but I slowly worked my way through the series finding all the hides, some alot trickier then others but a good variety of hides.

The sixteenth find of the day. After the event, I decided to head out and pick up a few micro caches towards my Badgegen badge. After a quick couple of micros around Franklin, I headed out to clean up the remaining caches I had along the Majura Cycleway. A visit to the new suburbs of Throsby and Taylor to clean up one or two before making a quick stop to get Loci612's newest tree climb cache (love your work, keep it up!). I had my bike in the car which proved handy for finding the caches along the cycleway, although it meant a lot of people stopped to ask if I needed help. The weather was really nice for most of the time, except the last cache or two where it got quite rainy. Thanks to all the COs who placed caches.
There are so many different styles of hide in this series, and here is yet another!

Found with AlphaDeltaIndigo, Brewmaker and The Bebes.
I have been working towards a self imposed target, with the goal of the upcoming Giga Event in Cincinnati OH to be my 4,000th milestone. Needing in excess of 200 caches before I fly out to the United States of America in just over a week’s time, I hatched a plan to spend a weekend in our Nation’s Capital to help me reach the required number. I floated the idea out to a few geo-buddies and there was immediate interest, so we made the necessary arrangements and were eager to get going.
It was an early morning start on the Friday. I picked up The Bebes on the way through and we swung by the newly published ‘Whites Creek Wetlands’ Earth Cache (GC7MW51) in Annandale for a quick First To Find to start the trip on a positive note. Continuing on to Brewmaker’s, we hopped in the Brew-mobile, with the bikes on the back, and hit the road towards Canberra. The main target for the first day was to complete the section of the Canberra Centenary Trail (CCT) from Hall to Bonner. It was cold, windy and a little wet, but the mountain bikes ate up the trail and the riders conquered the mountain. In the evening, AlphaDeltaIndigo bussed in from Sydney and we relaxed in the warmth of a pub to watch a thrilling Swans victory on the big screen.
The Saturday was almost as full on but the riding was a little easier than the first day. We cycled the length of the Majura Cycleway series and back again, in similar weather conditions, picking up as many caches as we could along the way. After a surprisingly good dinner at a veggo restaurant in Dickson, we continued driving around town to finish up a long day with some more finds.
We woke on our final day of the trip to sunshine and slightly warmer weather. The main objective for the Sunday was to complete as many caches of the University of Geocaching Canberra (UGC) series as we could, as well as others in that area. We struggled on a few (and had to log a Did Not Find on some) but otherwise did well in making a dent in the series. On the way back to Sydney in the evening, we made pit stops in Penrose and Pheasants Nest.
A fun and successful weekend caching with great company. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.

After a road trip down from Sydney with Brewmaker and JordsAU this was the second day of caching on bikes, we were joined by AlphaDeltaIndigo who we collected from the bus depot last night.
After a challenging ride yesterday we focused on the much flatter Majura Cycleway series and other nearby hides.
It's great to see such amazing facilities for cyclists, enabling them to commute and cache in safety!
