In its current hiding spot, the cache keeps getting waterlogged, and it's not feasible to keep maintaining it. Thanks to all the finders who visited and logged coming here!
It's a great area, however, and look for a new cache coming near Dog Rock very soon from jamesknowlson!

You know that feeling that you are definitely in the right spot, but you can't find it? While we were trying to "casually" seat h the garden bed, a muggle questioned us. She concluded we were waiting for our dog at the nearby vet, and insisted on giving us some reading material. Frustrating, we may visit again.
Thanks for the hide. I have visited here before but couldn’t really look for it with all the muggles driving by. Today it was a quick find
I have replaced this cache once before. On a walk home from school today, I thought I’d stop by and luckily the container is still there, however the log book was soaked. This seems to be a regular occurance for this cache which is a shame
I think the spot is wonderful and I would hate to see the cache archived.
CO feel free to message me to discuss perhaps another arrangement as I live close to the area. But unfortunately at the moment, this cache is without a log book, and it seems any log book placed in there is ultimately damaged and/or attacked by insects

Could not find! IDK if it's not there but I was where it said it was and looked for 30mins and still couldnt find it!
Hi there Albany Canucks.
We found your cache **"Dog Rock"** at 12:22:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 23926).
We're staying in Albany for a few days, and today we decided to attempt a few caches around the Port and town area.. We found 5 caches & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache was soaked, we spent some time drying it out, but it still needs some "Owner TLC".
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thank you Albany Canucks for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Heck yeah, cache 99! What an iconic spot. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to come here!
This cache was our nemesis, but after looking at the hint we finally came back and found it. Log looking very tatty.
Navigated to a large power box underneath Lime 303. Despite it being logged in situ just recently we couldn’t find it!!
We are on our 5week holiday travelling the coast to enjoy the sunshine and water. Along our travels we made a few stops to explore the area and grab a few caches .
Nice quick stop to collect this cache before we head to Denmark for the day. Thanks for placing.

On a midlife gap year around Australia we are staying in Albany for a few days. At first I didn't understand the references around the place to Dog Rock, but then I drove past the rock and spotted the dog, with his distinguishable collar and understood at once. Then realising that of course there was a cache here to be had I figured I had to get it, so while waiting for some scripts to be filled at the nearby pharmacy, I slipped over here to collect the cache. Like a dog is to a bone, this was a quick and simple find. Thanks much Albany Canucks.
2 for 2. Had to flick a few greedy bugs away. And run through the rain. #Hawkeye
Hunted in what seemed the right spot, but no cache. TFTC, even if I had no success.
Enjoying our trip in the west.
We have arrived in Albany. Spending 9 days here at the 17th National Caravan Rally.
Thank you
Good find

Look for a mint tin wrapped in plastic, and please be sure it remains well protected to keep out the weather. Enjoy!

Checked in on this geocache on the walk home from school.
Having found this one before multiple times I can assure the cache is missing.
CO please contact me if you want me to replace and co maintain. I go past it every day on the walk home so an easy one for me.
Either message me via geocache app or email at [email protected]

We did not find it today but we think we found where it should have been. Taken away maybe?
First time geocaching and first spot we looked for. So much fun and will be doing more of it.
Nice quick grab here, BatBoySam does not think the rock looks at all like a dog haha.

Cache and log have been replaced. Cache is no longer micro (its a small) but all other instructions are the same. byop.
eventually found it in the non-obvious cavhr spot. cache is missing, only log in clipseal bag is left... maintenance desperately needed!
Sadly a dnf. We were in the right spot, found sprinklers, no sign of any bitumen!!!
DNS As had no pen. In desperate need of a tin and dry paper. In poor condition. Dog rock is awesome
Definitely an iconic location.
Soggy bit of paper in wee plastic bag. Needs a waterproof container.

Nova Scotia to Australia. We are enjoying a month circumnavigating Australia on the Sea Princess. Our goal is to find at least one geocache in each port. Thanks to all the cache owners in this beautiful country
Log sheet was wet. Added a new sheet

All we found was an empty plastic clip lock bag where the hint indicated. I placed some paper in the bag and there is plenty of room for other caches to sign. Thanks for bring us to this iconic location.
This is a post from the owner: I'm currently out of town, so I can't check on this after the recent DNF. But if there are any more DNFs, please do log them. It will be a while before I'm back in Albany, so if the cache has gone missing I'll have to archive it since - unless someone can kindly replace the container (mint tin or similar).
Hunted around and located an empty plastic bag hidden as per the hint. No container and no log sheet.
Joint find with stus*crew. "We came in from one direction and teamjatts honed in to the cache from the other direction and a pleasant meeting was had"... Thank you for the cache and a big massive HELLO to teamjatts
Find number 459. Just happened to be looking for this when fellow cachers stus*crew and nerinonickers came along. Always good to meet fellow cachers. TFTC.
Took a few minutes to find, but Happily found just as we were heading back to the car

This was a “let’s look to see what’s close by” with a quick stopover in Albany. Unfortunately did not have a pen so took a photo instead *photo spoiler* TFTC
I have completely replaced the container and log book. The previous cache had done its dash, and was looking a little worse for wear.
Staying in Albany for a few days, we decided to stop and grab this one as we had already driven past it multiple times already. A quick find thanks to the hint, before adding our names to the log.
