We attended your event 4 months to the Surf Coast Event - Mildura on our camping holiday with GeoJess [woof] from Ballarat on our way up to NSW in search of warmer weather and a few caches

Well done Geocaching Melbourne for putting on a top event and cooking the snags. Jessie thanks you for the leftovers!

This was my first trip to Mildura, and certainly worthwhile as it is a great place along the river.
After some caching in the morning I made my way to the BBQ around lunchtime to catch up with other cachers and talk about the Surf Coast Mega in November.
What a great vibe around here - blue skies, green grass, sizzling sausages and happy cachers!
Looking forward to the Mega, and thanks Geocaching Melbourne for driving this initiative.

Oops nearly missed this one,
We have been having a great time following the "months" to the Surf Coast Event and this one was spot on for a great weekend. We love Mildura and all things around it so a weekend and a few days was on the list.
We had a great time and it is fun ticking off the list of events to the Mega.
Our thanks to Geocaching Melbourne for hosting the event,
Regards
The Coffee's

Heading to Mildura with Clare007 and HevWalker for a couple of events and a couple of days caching. [^] After a particularly NON restful night at Berri that included a noisy fire alarm due to two fires, an evacuation for an hour, firies police and not much sleep. And I was the lucky one. Surprised The ladies had intruders, smoke inhalation and two changes of rooms as well. Razz But after a hearty breakfast it was finally time for some caching. Cool
After spending too long caching and not taking into account the time difference after crossing the border we were about that much time late. Twisted
Still we made it in time for a hot snag and some great chatting. Caught up with some out friends , made some new ones, swapped stories, sighted the odd TB. I found out some info that will come in handy in about 4 months Wink and recharged the batteries for an afternoon of great caching. Smile
Thanks Geocaching Melbourne and all who helped to organize this event. Looking forward to the next one. Big Grin

Muggle partner and I wre very generously given the opportunity to accompany Moneydork and Tounga to Mildura for the weekend, to attend 2 events Cool
Saturday morning we left Berri and returned there Sunday night. Between that, I found 44 caches Smile, attended the 2 events Cool and had 6 DNFs Sad
According to muggle partner, it was a great weekend Surprised I asked if he was now enjoying geocaching and he said 'no. The weekend was just good around the caching!' Wink
Some awesome caches were found and some great people were hugged, met and spoken with Cool

Lunch time [^]
Love a BBQ sausage especially when it is both cooked by and eaten with such great company! Cool
Lots of laughs, lots of hugs, a few South Australians and lots of Victorians made for a wonderful couple of hours Cool
Thanks for the fun Smile

On this beautiful sunny day we were stoked to see the great turnout for this BBQ event. Catching up with old friends and meeting the local cachers we cooked , chatted and indulged our way through the next couple of hours.

In Mildura for the weekend to attend the 4 months to the Surf Coast Event - Mildura event and to enjoy the many local caches that I might get the opportunity to discover.
Oops, I'm here at last...
It was great to meet everyone who attended both locals and imports from all over. What a magic park here on the banks of the Murray together with fantastic weather for a BBQ.
**Thanks very much Mildura for the hospitality and thanks to Geocaching Melbourne for hosting the event, oh, and for the great sausages.**

Mary & David were there. Said goodbye to the Canberra family yesterday and continued on to Mildura. You know that we are Event-aholics, and love the social side of caching, so that detour for a BBQ lunch was an easy choice. How quickly the time to the Surf Coast Event is passing. Wonderful warm winter sunshine, and great BBQ technique, made this another excellent countdown Event. Great to meet a few of the local teams too. Next time, Mary might get her hands on that rare Unobtainium coin. Our thanks to Geocaching Melbourne.

Wow, what an awazing turnout!! Thanks to everyone who came both from near and far!!!

It was really grea tto see so many new people at this event. There are some really amazing caches in the area, so I can see why there is a growing community of caches.

Thanks so much for putting us up, attending this event, and for having such great caches out there for us to find. I hope I see you all at the Surf Coast Event in November!

Heads up to all those travelling to attend the event. I have organised with Bunjil to have the final two stages of a series of 7 caches published at some point on the 9th. one of these is a traditional and the other a mystery requiring you to have found the other 6. If you are interested in racing to get these FTF, I would recommend setting up a new cache notification for this area so you can stay in the loop.

Cheers, Ross
