On holiday for 2 weeks in caravan, stopped at oamaru for couple nights and thought we would go find some cach hunting . TFTC
Biked about 8 kilometres of this trail this afternoon, both to enjoy the ride and to pick up a few caches along the way. The plan was to stop for every second one, and to do the others on the return leg. It more or less transpired that way! Surprised myself at how quickly I found this one, my final one on this trail today. #7431. TFTC.
Came down for a few days to complete a part of the A2O. The landscapes between Duntroon and Oamaru are pretty awesome!
I liked this we spot.

Thanks Hill55 for the cache, enjoying picking up a few caches as I get close to Oamaru and do not have to worry so much about my bike battery failing.
Quick find.

Many thanks for the cache. Mr Kiwi dropped me off near Windsor and I walked back to town.
This one did have prickles to worry about especially for a shorter person but my backpack was very useful here
It's Queen's birthday weekend yay. . JD and I are spending the weekend in Oamaru. We biked 12km return today. Thanks for hiding this cache hill55 I appreciate it.
I had to be very careful of the boxthorn here - ouch!
Thanks for setting this up for me to find

Today started cycling the alps to ocean rail trail an awesome experience. With a few caches to provide the cherry on top. TFC
Third time's the charm on this one... Almost got put off track by something that wasn't meant to be where it was... Glad to tick this one off! Tftc!!
Kids are back to school YAHOO!
A beautiful warm morning called for a walk. Grabbed this cache along the way. Funny I tried looking for this one a long time ago and for some funny reason never looked on the right side of the track! Nice n easy wee find and then I was on my way to enjoy my wee walk. TFTC

Out biking this way today and checked on cache and yes its gone. replaced and moved hiding spot
We spent some time looking for this one (the constant stream of muggles didn't help). In the end we decided it was time to move on.
No luck, though we couldn't search the area around the tree properly because of the number of bees that were buzzing around.
Finally finding some time to log these caches. Took a couple of days off work and decided that today was the day to knock off the next section on the A2O. A wee bit cool and quite windy but enjoyable none the less. A fee quicks finds and a few tough ones. A shout out to Drawp who I run into on the way and helped me with a couple. TFTC.
I had moved my snail shell down the Waitaki Valley to Awamoko for a few days. Today I needed at least 6 caches for my personal challenge of having all the days on my calendar at the same shade of green or darker.
I had decided to walk this part of the A2O Trail to locate these caches. I had a look for this on the way up but couldn't find it. On the way back I had better luck and signed the log.
Cheers for the cache.

We spent ages looking for this cache, without success, so decided to carry on and have another look on the return trip. Surprisingly when we returned it didn't take very long to find this cache, easily reached from the track. At one stage we had to wait while a large fertiliser truck slowly squeezed past us. TFTC
On a quest to complete the Hidden Creatures challenge so again off to Oamaru to find about 80 caches and this was one of them. I have driven past here a million times and today was the day to stop. Took a bit of a walk to get this one. TFTC
Nice afternoon dog walk, I passed this about 10 times until I suddenly realised. TFTC
Nice to get rid of a sad blue face. I'm not sure why I didn't find this one six months ago as this time around it was a very quick find.
Up from Dunedin on a mission to get total finds for the year up to 1:1. Still got a few to go and days are running out! Thanks to the local COs for your hard work which is making mine a little easier. TFTC
Since my last cyclocache ride down the A2O trail there have been a number of new caches placed. Today I was dropped off near Elderslie #12 and commenced to cyclocache my way back to Weston. Most caches were quick finds unless stated otherwise. Thanks to the CO's for the placements.
Tyabeedragon and I cycled most of the A2O from the elephants a few days ago. Now we are back, mopping up sections that we missed.
Nice dramatic cutting. Loving these railway caches - well loving the railway cycling, actually!

Spent Saturday going like the clappers and knocking as many of these off as we could as a group. Signed as TTT (Trans Tasman Team) Thanks for the fun day you provided us with!
Out with Busy paws and Geo Jessie on this wet Monday. Busy paws came up with the cache while I was distracted in a different direction. TFTC.
You could almost imagine the rail journey along here. A great find with Geomum007 and Geo jessie, fascinating bit of countryside. TFTC
Onto the bikes again for more cycle caching with Kiwi Moose and Karma Reprint. Signed as K^3LMR Thanks.
7685. A little tricky. Found after a shortish walk and a reasonable search. Thanks Iris and Rodney
Searched high and low for this one with no success on the outward journey. On our way back we found it in seconds! TFTC.
Out and about with Karma Reprint and Kiwi Legend, another smiley face on this great trail. Signed as K^3LMR. Cheers
Found with TTT. Having a wonderful time caching with the group and going to all of the Geofest events! Thanks for all of the work!
One of the few caches on the trail for me today, I've done a few around Oamaru!. A nice quick find. Cheers.
Out and about on some of the A2O bike trails around Oamaru with Kiwi Moose and Kiwi Legend. Signed the logs K3LMR for brevity. Thanks to the CO's for the Caches.

I thought i had logged all i found over the Geofest weekend, but it appears i have missed a couple, might have to be more organized with the next big event. Signed as TTT, thanks.
Tried the most obvious 'trails' in here. Moved on after a couple of minutes.
Headed out for a Mad Mission with Team_Gaters and 8ManAfter we signed our logs today 'T8T' cos were dynatmite! I grabbed 8Man at 5.30 am and we grabbed TG just before 6am and we were on the road before 6am with the bikes on the back. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We wanted to do as much of the A2O as we could and as many PnGs that we could manage. We stopped by the event first and then we had to stop an grab breakfast at 10am. We grabbed some lunch and headed for the hills. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Scored a delicous dinner in town and headed home. Got home just after 12am knocking out 620km and 115 caches. Good times!
On the trial, quick find.
Cache 38 of 115 for this crazy day!
Thanks for the cache hill55.

A long days caching (Mad Mission?) with TheWanglers and 8ManAfter..revelin a bit of the Geofest Event in Oamaru. We signed our logs 'T8T' cos were dynamite...and 'in a hurry'...LOL! Picked up by TW & 8man at 6am...and we had our bikes loaded for a bit of A2O action during the day. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We stopped by the event first and then we stopped to town to grab some breakfast and a packed lunch and then headed out to hit some trails. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Grabbed some tea in town then headed for home. Got home just on 12am knocking out 620km and just over 100 cache finds for each of us. A great day with great company!
Riding the trail on the bikes. Bumped into another couple cachers who were having no luck...bit of a search and I had the cache in hand for all of us! Rather a big cache to remain hidden! LOL...

Caching as a group, calling ourselves trans tasman team TTT, having heaps of fun and grabbing plenty of caches. Tftc
#2,975: Binge Smiley!
What an adventure we had today! TheWanglers, Team_Gaters, and I headed out at dawn from Christchurch with four goals in mind: 1) Find Many Caches, 2) Get TG to 7,000 finds, 3) get me to 3,000 finds, and 4) Have Fun! Needless to say, all were accomplished in spades. It was only my second 100+ day ever, and had us driving, walking, running, biking, and even crawling to make the finds. We were also able to find at least 7 different cache types, and attend two events, in order to catch up with old friends. Thanks to all the hiders, but most of all, thanks to my partners in crime! We signed all logs as "T8T", sung to the tune of AC/DC "TNT".

Not an instant find but the CO comment about needing a check that it hadn't washed away focused our search in a slightly different place and soon we were signing the log. TFTC !
Definitely not the easiest find of the day. Looked here, there and everywhere that others had obviously looked before us. I really thought we were going to have to give up when Sidewaze thankfully uttered those magic words. TFTC # 11,093
Checked this out thought it may have floated away in floods. It's in place and all good.
i only spent about 5 minutes looking including both sides. I'll have to revisit when I have more time.
Had a bit of a search for this one, thought it might be wet but no all good here today TFTC
The second day of the Oamaru leg of our "Road to 6000" Challenge - and back on the bikes to pick up some caches along the Alps to Ocean bike trail.
A quick find.

A great day to be out for a ride in North Otago. Finding a few caches with some of the EU crew and drawp in tow. TFTC
On a road trip to Dunedin with our bikes on board.
Felt like a short MTB power trail and this fitted the bill.
Another quick find and we were on our way.

Found the container but could not, for the life of me, get either end off. I wonder whether they have been over-tightened and possibly the thread damaged? It was very wet and muddy down the track today and it was difficult to get any grip on the container ends at all as the container was also wet and muddy. I don't think this is one of those caches that requires the finder to solve a puzzle to open the container so I hope the CO won't mind me claiming the find. I can provide a detailed description of the container and hiding place should they require it. A maintenance check might be needed. TFTC.
