Logs
On the final leg of my road trip on the way home! A few more fitted into the day! TFTC!!
Quick find this morning with eltee291, crman1 and coastal martinis! A little bigger than typically found at these hiding spots. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache, GH6710!
Found today with hingis20, crman1, and coastalmartinis. Have come frome Victoria, BC, Canada to visit with my daughter and her family in Blenheim and, of course take in some of the great geocaching here. Really great to be enjoying summer in January. Dropped off a couple of TBs. TFTC
After spending the night in Blenheim we were heading north on our way to Picton to catch the ferry to go home after staying in Waimate for the week for personal reasons. As usual I decided that as I was going to be passing a few Geo caches along the way if the chance allowed I would stop and pick up one or two.
After finding GC34Z4T - Rarangi Beach Reserve (Marlborough), we were making back out from Rarangi and picking up a few caches along the way. I saw this cache as we were making out way into Rarangi and decided that I would leave this cache till we made our way out as Mrs Yeetrees want to go to Manaka Chocolate Factory, well it is a must each time we make our way around Blenheim.
Making our way back out towards this cache, we soon realised why the cache was named so, well that was a bit obvious. Managed to find a safe parking spot within a few metres of GZ, got out of the car and walked over to GZ and quickly spotted the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks bumandworker for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot TFTC TNLNSL (13907).
Now it is time to go back to the car and continue trying to find a few more caches on our way to Manaka and the surrounding country side before making our way to catch our ferry.

#6158. I am over in Marlborough for some work meetings but have extended the trip and taken some leave to give me time to find a few more caches. Later this afternoon I decided it was time to visit Port Underwood, a road I have not travelled along in a couple of decades. A quick diversion down this side road to grab the cache. Nicely placed cache and bigger than I was expecting. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here GH6710.
Time for a geocache tiki tour as we haven't been out and about for some time. Nice, easy find. Neighbour was out in the paddock training his sheepdog at the time. TFTC.
Out with Nana (Darby&Joan) doing some caching locally. A funny story at this one that Nana will post in her log. Clever hide here. SL. TFTC.
Quick stop here, out with grandson and family. Clever hide for this type. As we were leaving my son said look at the muggles over the fence, shorn sheep, were about to take a photo, when a female popped around the corner of the shed, dropped pants etc.... we had to abandon photo op and make a speedy exit before she looked up to see a car full of people photographing her lol.... We are still laughing about it. SL. TFTC.
Someone was in the garden opposite when we approached GZ so we drove on and turned around and when we arrived back he had gone inside. Cache found with no problem. tftc
On the Mainland for 20 hours and 40 minutes!!! Why? Collecting 2 caches for GC5A6NB Compass Crossover Challenge (Wellington). This cache fits perfectly with the West section of the challenge - find a cache in the NI that is further west than one found in the same month in the SI.
Many TFTC.

A quick and easy find. Thanks
A weekend away, first this month!! Time to cache around a bit and then head home.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

Quick find on a beautiful sunny day geo caching in this lively relaxing area. Thanks for rhe cache 'Isobel'
A fairly quick find as all the curious cows in the paddock across the road came over to the fence to observe us. TFTC
I had a bit of time to kill so why not do some caching Found all safe and secure tftc
Out caching with Kiwimykl attempting to clear the White's Bay area this morning. He got this earlier in the week and gave me a hand to find and log it as well.

I was heading out to do some caching in the Rarangi/Whites Bay area this afternoon and chose a route that took me past this one. I am very familiar with this area as we used to visit nearby for Sunday lunch when the outlaws lived here.

Out for our first bit of caching in over a year, enjoying the sunshine and thought we would stop by here. Nice easy find and left a trackable behind. Found with crman1
Found on a lovely sunny day out caching with the wife. Found with coastalmartinis. TFTC
Couldn't find anything. Although it was our first time geocaching so didn't really know what we were looking for
A quick stop in this out of the way place. While Hazedarus inspected one item I grabbed the cache at another. Dropped TB.
Thank you GH6710.
Thank you GH6710.
We wanted to make the most of the weather while it lasted so earmarked some caches to look for. First time ever to have the TomTom confused. No problem though. Dropped TB. Thank you GH6710
A quick find while passing this morning on the way to score some of the new caches along the Port Underwood road. Signed log, TFTC
A quick, easy find after a failed attempt at attending the nearby CITO event today! TFTC
After the CITO event at the Grovetown lagoon I had time to go and find a few more caches before I head back home to Nelson. A quick find here, although for a second I thought that the cache might have been at the rusty relic across the road. TFTC, Biggles.
After grabbing a couple of caches near the river and then a quick placement trip to Picton... it was time to head back towards home.
This was slightly off the route - but a quick PnG without any hassle.

The driver kindly stopped so Mrs Sobad could add just another one to the cache total for today. As quick find as we left Whites Bay heading back to Nelson.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Very nice hide. Took me a little longer than i anticipated to get this one. Was looking for something a little different. Tftc.
Without any great plans for today after yesterday on the water tracking down the T5 caches by boat in the Sounds. Up with mrs capperz as she prepped for work and decided an early morning trip to Picton would do, check on my caches there and have a look alongside Shelly Beach at a suspected muggled cache. Headed here via the diversion and water looking inviting today but no fishing gear on board, again.
I've seen this cache container on many occasions whilst riding in his geo-mobile and knocked it onto the floor a few times too! Having said that I knew what I was looking for so was able to make a Q E F at G Z.
Thanks for the hide and another GH cache for the ever growing list. Picked up 3 hitch-hikers at Tuamarina, one had to be a t work in Picton at 0900, cutting it fine!

Unfortunately last cache for the day as I had a strict time limit today. All good though because we both found what we wanted, had a good mix of walk and P & Gs and also some nice scenic stops. TFTC #8107
Somehow I was first out of the car and first to search here. Had I read the description I might have had more success. Oh well, Isis never complains when I leave the finds for her and let her sign the log . A fascinating garden along the road. - - - It's worth a look. TFTC .
**{FTF}** I was over in Whites Bay moving one of my caches so that a friend could place hers, which was very site specific. I was sitting on the ground, waiting for the GPS to do an average of 600 coordinates (10 minutes - I was under a lot of tree cover). So I pulled out the phone and and checked my emails. Ah! New cache! Hmm. It's going to take me ages to get there, so someone else can have it. Decided my coords weren't that great, so did another averaged set. Then went and checked out my friend's new cache, fixed up a problem, noted a change recomendation and went back to the car.
Stopped off here on the way home maybe 4 hours after it was published. Pitch black now. There's a cow mooing on the other side of the road, upset at all this unusual torch light waving around. I shine the torch that way - not one cow, but about 30, all up at the fence, watching me, their tapeta (tapeta lucida) shining brightly. Quite freaky to see!
Dropped in an emerald. Thanks for the cache, gets my FTF streak to 16 months now. Means I can save other new caches for filling my calendar .
