Nice little bridge. Had to get the walking stick out to beat back the brambles. All good.
tmann421 and I are heading back to Christchurch after attending the MEGA finding caches along the way.We enjoyed all the caches found and thank the cache owners for their efforts in maintaining these for us to findLog signed tm/ww NZTFTC
woolwood9 & I enjoyed the drive / walk around the area today! *Thanks for the fun cache, soon found.* SL *tm/ww NZ*Last one for the day.
Parked overnight at the racecourse nearby, and headed past this way today, nice quick find here, TFTC
Out camping at Orari Racecourse again. Sirrick and Ladyjan had 3 caches in hand this afternoon via a wee ride on our mtbs. I've been to this bridge many years ago as a work task. Thanks for the cache.Cheers
Looks like we also found this one at the right time as there was absolutely no water to be seen luckily. Cache all good here, only managed to come away with one blackberry scratch
The creek is high at the moment so a little challenging to get the cache. TFTC.
Wet Knees a few bramble thorns and lots of inquisitive eyes watching, but got the log signed before the rain.
With water almost up to the bridge deck i decided to leave this for another time.
Thanks for bringing us to this nice peaceful spot Had to check other logs to help locate the cache, but we got it
Found on my trip south. Enjoying the caches. Took longer than it should have to find
Out for a drive to get some caches for the last part of the reach the peaks challenge. This was a nice and easy find. Thanks gir he cache.
Well that was a bit of excitement for the day. We backed th motor home down the road to gz. Then I walked around trying to figure where it was. Then looked for "easiest" way under. No easy way as the blackberry has taken over, grass is very long and wet too. Gingerly made my way under to be rewarded with the nice sized weighted container. All good here. Thanks for bringing us here BCD
You made us work for this one, but found with reshamfiriri. Container weighted down with extra rock. Water in stream today but easily negotiable. TFTC
Nearly gave up due to prickles! But kakariki's stamina and determination paid off. TFTC
Overgrown with blackberry bushes so didn't want to risk getting prickled. Dnf today, maybe another time
Camping just down the road and despite arriving in cold Drizzle this morning was brought and sunny. Took mr10 for a bike ride and cache hunt. This was the first on our circuit. I had to explain what a fire was but hard to envisage when the driver bed was so dry. But a quick find by mr10 and all in good order. The next Ford (Vance Rd) was a better example to help in his education TFTC
A slight detour to our normal way south for this one. Bit of an odd placement - not sure if it was supposed to be better hidden or not. At least it meant I didn't have to brave too many prickly bits. TFTC.
There was quite a bit of traffic joining us on the road being the last day of school holidays, but much of it was going the opposite way to us. TB dropped. TFTC
Google maps told us to turn left off main road, but it was straight into a dead end. As we had trackables to drop, we decided to continue the long way round. Cache found quickly.
Great weekend caching with Hinemoana. Drive by caching in the morning as we waited for the rain to stop. Thanks!
A crazy caching weekend with KiwiGS! We picked this area because on the map it looked like a lot of easy caches, although it was not quite the case. We still found many! Filling in time with a few drive by's waiting for the rain to ease. TFTC!!
Took a bit of scrambling, but got there in the end. A lot of water under the bridge, no way we could cross the ford. TFTC
I didn't attempt this one as it was a frosty morning and there was no way my little car could cross that ford.
Well that was fun! The stream is really full with water and I approached the ford initially from the other side before feeling sorry for the wee Corolla and coming around the other side. No way we would have made it through the creek. I found the cache full of water, squashed as if trodden on by a cattle beast or similar. The log had gone. Just the cover remained. I straightened out the container so the lid would fit on it properly and added some waterproof paper. Should be okay for a while. The blackberry is starting to take over the obvious entry point. Ouch, ouch, ouch! Great cache story, BCD. Thanks! #3569
Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.
Easy find although glad the trolls needed a bridge. Significant amount of water in creek for weeks now
Made use of the day off for a days caching around Orari and Geraldine. Quick find, been to a few of these bridges in the area, they must get a bit of water at times.
I looked high and low couldn't find it then all of a sudden my compass went to the right place and there it was. Yeah
7737. Found after an interesting drive and a short search. Three days caching holiday around Geraldine. TFTC Rodney and Iris.
Staying nearby so an after dinner excursion to pick up some caches in the area. Actually walked right past the cache and dismissed it entirely thinking it was trash! Not the usual CO container after walking round in circles for a bit it wasn't until I put in W.E.K.A.S co-ordinates that I practically stood on top of what I originally dismissed. Doh me!!! TFTC
Last weekend of the School holidays so decided to spend a couple nights in Geraldine. After our fun wet bike along part of the Orari river tracks it was time to head to the Farmyard. Stopped here for a quick find and sign. Ford up a bit and quite deep so backtracked ....
Awesome size cache! Love these ones especiallywith the kids in tow. The road was a pretty cool track too, kinda surprised it showed on the app! Despite its 4wd capabilities, Mr. Kiwi decided against taking the cachemobile through the ford this time..... tftc
With only two wheel drive car we hoped the find would be on our side of the ford. It wasn't but fortunately the ford was dry so the find was made.
Thanks

A fairly quick find, more easily accessible than we expected, although for us the coordinates seemed about 10 metres out. Our coordinates were S44 08.253 E171 16.964. TFTC
Love this cache!! Such a cute wee bridge I never would've known existed. Found on a beautiful day out caching with Geomum007 & Busy Paws.
TFTC!
TFTC!
We loved this container and put in a few goodies. Found with with Geomum007 and Geojessie, having a great time in the area picking up caches. A Fav .
Out caching today with my favourite people Geo Jessie and Busy Paws (daughter and Mum) had a fantastic day out exploring some interesting places. Great container by a quaint old bridge, added some swaps to it, including a little metal 'troll' Many thanks to all the cache owners. TFTC
Having just about not got across the Orari river (that lovely feeling of going slower and slower and just about stopping mid stream), this nice dry streambed wasn't a hitch. Cheers
4. day of our 3 month bicycle tour of NZ, and naturally we had to stop in order to log this cache . Thank you for showing us this beautiful spot!
On the way to Oamaru picking up a few caches to assist with our self imposed "Road to 6,000" Challenge
A quick find.

Took the young Bairdys for a spot of geocaching - after a long break. The littlest Bairdy spotted this one. We're local (Geraldine), but I didn't know this was here. Retrieved TB. TFTC.
Day 2 of my Geraldine MTB cyclocaching adventure.
But first of all I need to get to where I finished my ride yesterday. It just happens that there are a few caches that can be found before I need to get on my bike.
I won't be logging Needs Maintenance logs but will just mention something, where required, of the state of each cache.
Drove to GZ from the south side and stopped just before the ford. As I searched for the cache I noticed that water was definitely driveable in my 4WD. The rampart long grass meant that I didn't have warbut's experience. Eventually found at the last of the 4 corners I searched.

Spotted from afar, and so pleased to have a larger find. They are not so common these days. Bet the kids had fun playing here. Thanks.
On the way to Timaru for monthly dinner with a group of mums so decided to get one more cache in for the month on the way.
As I approached from the east two people were approaching from the west and we crossed each others paths right by gz. So I kept driving to the end of the road and turned around and came back before starting the hunt.
Tried hunting from one side and was getting nowhere so tried an easier approach and spotted it rather quickly.
Added a travel bug to the cache before continuing south. Quite little bridge, thanks for the cache.

a little detour on our way home from grandparent duties ...the only footbridge size one of these bridges I've come across...
Day #3 of our Labour Weekend trip to Geraldine and time to head back to Christchurch, but first we had a few more caches to find in and around the town. Thanks to all the COs for these cache placements and for making our stay so enjoyable.
As the cache page states, no sign of water here so the cool wee bridge is sadly redundant. I trip trapped on the bridge while StreetWalker got down and dirty and found the cache. TFTC.

#13313. We approached from the west. That part of the 'road' was more grass than anything else, but it was easy enough to drive on. Troodles went high and I went low, and I easily spotted the decent-size cache. TFTC.
Was looking for this cache with a bike helmet on with ear plugs in. I had no chance if this troll had sneaked up behind me. Cheers.
Injeanious and I visited the travel bug bach on our way south to Dunedin. We picked up some TBs and I left two. TFTC!
We turned up a road that looked like it went to GZ but it turns out it was blocked, so we headed back out and weaved our way to GZ. An easy find in a prickly spot. We grabbed the TBs to move on. Tftc.
This has to be the best stocked TB bach/motel/hotel that I've come across in a very long time. I can understand why your kids liked spending time down here. TFTC #8947
A quick find on a nice wee wander on a glorious winters day. This was like trackable motel! TFTC
Loved the story behind this cache. Found with jordanhay0112 on caching weekend TFTC
A quick stop and grab today. Almost on the way home now. Cheers.
West Coast or Geraldine for the weekend? No chains for the car so Geraldine it is.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.
