Nope. Plenty of trains. Nothing on or behind the chevron of a regular size. Twas found 4 days ago. Interesting. Most people are saying coord are out 15M. I searched everything within 15 M of the centre if the intersection where gz is on my phone.
Not a trainspotter but could see how this hobby could become addictive. We enjoyed watching the trains uo at Port Hedland a couple of months ago and it was facinating. Cache found but log very wet. Tftc
Did some train spotting while search for a while for this one, container is water logged. Needs new container and note book .
Otherwise good little find

Found it but the coordinates were wrong don't go through the gates onto the private property another clue: behind black and white you will find the mysterious thing I left behind
Found with Shaneo58 doing some caches around Branxton before heading to the last part of the Dog Head Trail. Making a quick find for most of these, we were going around in circles as the GZ was a good 10 metres away, and expected something different at the clue.
Log signed and cache replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** JT1018.
This is the 3rd cache of 73 for today making a grand total of 2856 at 8:19:00 AM on Mon 28Dec2020

Found this with the help of the hint. The coordinates are about 15 m off.
The cache was found out in the open; we hid it a bit better.

Caching in the company of GrumpyBump, on our slow, meandering way to the Mega event in Millicent, S.A.
We had a short search, and then read the hint, and still couldn't find it. We had over-thought and out-smarted ourselves by looking for something other than the big plastic box sitting out in the open for all to see!!!

Fun spot to go to. Found a trackable hopefully i can take it to where it needs to go. There was a spider on the container and scared me so bad.
TFTC,
Day 2 caching around the area with Liz and Bruce & Nana nel.
It must have rained all night and after a good nights sleep we went out to finish the Dogs Head Trail today together with plenty of other caches along the way across several towns.
Great to have such a variety of caches.
Thanks to Kingfisher_au for providing a trail where we could work together with other cachers and enjoy each others company while building numbers and learning about so many different breads.
It's raining lightly and after lunch it was decided to head towards Singleton and build our total to 100 for the day. A big mistake after a few DNF's there we gave up and I expressed my disappointment in those logs.
Thanks JT1018 for a good cache. We found a throwdown behind the Chevron 2M from the real cache and added the log from the throwdown to the original cache. Giving you a favourite and visiting trackables.

After completing the Dogs Head, lunch over, now out to grab a few caches in the area, with Liz and Bruce & Wazza9. Quick find , stamped log and replaced. Thanks to JT1018
We camped at the rest area in Branxton with wazza9 and Nana Nel and ventured out to do some caching around the area. We enjoyed the variety of hides. Thanks to JT1018 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Found on our Christmas road trip! Was just on ground, so placed back where it should be. No trains spotted here today, but great train spotting spot!! Well, this is my last one for 2019. Happy New Year and thank you for the cache! : )
Geocache has been upgraded/replaced. A recent pipe burst in the vicinity of the cache and destroyed it. New Geocache has been laid, back up and running!
We arrived here to find the sound of an electric guitar playing in the distance! We found the cache easily, and saw an empty coal train pass under the bridge. TFTC!
While having an overnight stop at Branxton we went to find this cache.
Good timing as a coal train was passing by.
Lots of good hides at various locations.
Thanks for placing this cache JT1018

Found at 10:18 AM GAFF1.
OK - this is the cache that we targeted to start our journey going east for the day and of course it is missing isn't it . So we decided that as the CO not don any maintenance (or so it appears as there have been at least 3 DNF's in the past 4 months) and we are not going to be back for a long time - we placed a temporary cache and then went off looking for the winery, which unfortunately didn't work out.
Thanks JT1018

A quick find but container is completely broken, the cheap takeaway container won't last long either. TFTC

Will need to come back to this area for some wine-tasting! The lid of the outside container is still broken, but the inner one still whole. Tftc!
In the area for work and i decided to find couple on my way home. I missed this one on my GPS the other day when i stopped for the nearby one. TFTC
We came across your cache, JT1018, during day one of caching pre-Easter Mega.
As we pulled up we could hear a coal train going under the bridge. The cache is deteriorating in that the lid had broken away in parts. To help keep it going we scouted around for some rocks and built it up a bit to keep it dryer. Removed completely the wet contents and put the log book into a zip bag inside another container inside the cache.
Next finders please treat the cache and its hide carefully until the CO can do some maintenance.
Log signed and replaced at 7:35 pm on 28 March 2018. TFTC.

Just a short detour from a wine tasting day today. We are on a short holiday in the valley on a trip from the USA.
Once I was near GZ I spotted it immediately. Unfortunately the box is cracked in a couple of places and pieces have fallen out, so it is no longer weather tight. I replaced it the way I found it, upside down, with better rain immunity that way, but water will still get in. The log is a little moist but does take ink.

We have headed south a few weeks early to have a little holiday prior to attending the Oz Geomuster Mega event and found ourselves initially spending a few days in Sydney before heading off to the Hunter Valley wine region So far, we have managed to find a few caches before the heavy rain started to spoil our fun
We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you JT1018 for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

This took me longer than it needed to. For some reason I was looking for something smaller and magnetic. After reading the hint I still missed it, still eclectic it to be smaller and magnetic. Then I read a log that said it was a nice size for swag...
Maybe it's nit micro and magnetic!
3rd time looking over the cache area i actually found it. Duh! Missed it with assumption blindness. Haha
Saw a couple of trains pass. Filmed them and waved to them - they waved back.

Decided to keep heading down the road to this one while we were off the highway, train went past while we were there
An awesome sized container for some trades. Not much in there so we left a few extras. We had stopped at Spotlight earlier to stock up the bags containing the log and trades were slightly damp so we dried them as best we could. we may come back one day with some more trade to leave for future finders.
TFTC smile 3294# out and about with miss millie geo dog all good with this cache my son was a train driver he loves trainspotting
Recent flooding has filled up this Geocache.. will be putting as disabled. Cache currently in my workshop soon to be fixed up.
App map had us looking on the wrong side of the bend. Widened our search using the hint and made the find. TFTC. Log and contents are very wet.
On my way to Brisbane from Canberra to do some work on a house. A quick find, TFTC.
We had just knocked back our lunch and snickers gelato, which brought up a family debate about who has the best snickers gelato, and we still all conclude that Rainbow Beach wins, but Hunter Valley is sooooo close just missing out by a fraction! Anyway back to the point, pulled up at gz and we all thought we were going to hurl everything back up!!! The smell here was out of this world, kids yelling at us to abort the mission, what rubbish they speak we aren't leaving it behind. We completely forgot about snake safety we just wanted to make the grab and get the hell away from the smell (which we still are unsure of what it is). Hand sanitisers were spread all around car to try to get the smell away from us!

Late log.
Found on our trip up home to the Hunter Valley from Goulburn for an early Christmas visiting family (also geocachers themselves).
As always with caches in the Hunter there's always plenty of great locations and favourite points to give out when we come home from time to time.

Picked this one up on the way back from a caching run in Singleton. Arrived to find a trainspotter set up with camera and tripod. Two trains passed while we were there. An easy find. Cache in good condition. Thanks JT1018
A quick park and grab as we make our way to Singleton for a day of caching. I like visiting these back roads and a coal train passed by too when completing signing duties. TNLN SL TFTC
I am in the area this morning finding a few caches before heading south.
A short search before spotting this one tucked away.
Thanks for the cache.

Perfect weather today, just right for a day of caching, with pickings around home getting slim, and not having the entire day to roam, we ventured out to do some more along the HEX. Our third outing along here, always enjoyable, will almost be a shame when we eventually clear it out! 10 finds for us today, with only 1 DNF and only 1 search muggled out....
The GPS took us to the wrong spot, it seems a recurring theme, we had GZ 13m out today, have attached coordinated we took - a 2 minute average, with good 3m accuracy at the time. We needed the hint to get to the cache, for sure. Thanks for a good sized cache, well stocked too. Kids swapped colouring pencils for a handful of stuff. As we were rehiding the cache, an empty coal headed westward, and then as we were crossing the bridge back out, a full train headed eastwards - so we got the full trainspotting experience while we were there. TB retrieved.

A bit more of a detour and I arrived out here. After checking out The Old New England, which is still in great condition, how I left it. The extension from there was pretty easy going, and I parked in front of the gate. Searched a few places, including making the terrain higher, but unnecessarily. Looked at the hint, but had to google it. Then had another look where I had already looked and found the well covered cache. I am not sure this will remain dry after rain, time will tell. I had trouble covering it as well as I found it, but did the best I could. Saw two trains when I got there and another one as I found the cache! All coal trains of cause!
Thanks for the drive, trains and cache!

We were having a wander around the Kurri Kurri nostalgia festival and decided that once were done, we would go for a spot of caching.
Our fourth find for the afternoon, a quick find while there was one loaded train stopped under the bridge, and an empty one travelling through.
